  1. I have pro mx port and polish cylinders, with a milled head that has the swirl machined into it, i run plus 4 timing, and i have wiseco pistons, i was just wondering if i should be running some fuel with a little more octane, i run 92 as of right now

  5. Put your clips on the 3rd groove, and try 300mains , 240 would be way lean

  8. it so weird that it only does it after it has warmed up, i dosent make since, if it happened all the time i could be a bad reed,or bad gas,or many other things like a ripped intake boot
  9. i guess i maybe the stator. i have had people tell me ricky stator is good and other say they sre bad. i have ricky stator ,stator,cdi box, adjustable timing plate, and pick up coil and i have no problems, if you have any friends with banshees you may want to try one of there stators, before you buy anything else to fix the problem
  10. do you still have a stock carb laying around? if so try putting that on and see what happens start out with a 290 main and go from there
  11. that doesnt sound like its the problem, is it doing anything else other than bogging? have you looked at the plugs to see what they look like?
  12. if you are worried about it overheating when you do the heat cycle next time put a blower or fan in front of the radiator and dont run it so long and you should be fine
  13. all you need is a welder and grinder. i had a mill handy which made it easy, and if an 18 year old kid can do it i am sure you could figure it out. heres a picture of it complete
  14. i made my own kit and put it on myself it is sweet well worth it
  15. it sounds like it may have low compression in the one cylinder. ask him if you can do a compression check? and go from there
  16. you may want to check the timing if you have an adjustable plate. if it is to far advanced it will be hard to start

  18. does anybody think that yamaha will come out with the new banshee that was in the dirt wheels mag? i wish they would they look sweet. and would be faster than shit and it would be nice to have the 4 stroke engine sometimes.

  22. well i put the 310 mains in and it runs way rich and not any better the pick coil was out a little to far but it still is acting weird
  23. thanks for all the help i will mess with the jetting and the carb needle and see what happens. but the pickup coil is a .020 and i have not really checked the timing with a light i just went off the marks on the plate, and i dont have that stock parking brake shit on there those are the worst thing yamaha has ever done thanks thanks thanks
  24. ok this is whats happening i have an ajustable timing plate and i cant hit the powerband unless it is set a +10 when i try it on +4 it runs but as soon as i get up in the rpms it feels like it is cutting out This is what is on my bike trinity mx port and polish cylinders trinity swirl cylinder head stock reeds stock carbs with 280 jets motion pro carb caps k&n pod filters toomey t5 pipes weisco pro lite pistons adjustable timing plate this all started when i had to tear down the motor and i seen that the stock timing plate was broken (it had fmf reed cages and reeds in it then) and it ran great until the timing plate broke so i replaced it with the rickystator timing plate and put stock reeds in it because the fmfs where getting bad So the 3 things i am wanting to know is 1 is it bad to run +10 all the time 2 why wont it rev like it should at plus 4 3 would the after market reeds make the difference
