  1. No Banshee stuff...plane ticket to New Hampshire. Not bad Fastrthnu
  2. Order the Toomey jet kit...you'll understand when you compare it to what's in there now.
  3. I have begun porting them and they are turning out great so far...thanks for the posts guys. I'll post pics ASAP...I'm just taking my time and messing around, they are looking sweet but we'll see.
  4. Deep under the rubber compound there is metal. I'm going to mess around with these, see what I come up with. If anyone knows anything about/has had experience porting reed cages, speak up now please.
  5. My phone died so I can't take a pic right now...but these look just like the 05s.
  6. What kind of paint did you use? Toyboxx painted the pipes I got off of him, but whatever he used didn't last long. I don't think it had a good heat rating because near high heat areas was where I had problems... (mostly header area...you can see in my sig, but that was when they were newer...it wore down a bit more.) The non-high heat areas are flawless. Sometimes spilled oil/gas/mud will stain them, but after a deep clean of the bike it usually goes away for me. I'm sanding them down and plan on using 1500* black grill paint. Let me know what works for you please.
  7. Who told you that, Michael Moore the director, or Michael Moore the bullshitter? They are the same person.
  8. Really? My bad, lol. Whether he did or didn't doesn't matter to me...but I think Michael Jackson cares. I like this guy.
  9. Sucks to hear....I hate people like this. I hope everything works out, thanks for looking out for us.
  10. So I purchased some "ported stock reed cages" which were all metal. I took out MY "stock" cages, and they were metal (gold colored), but they either a) have rubber over the metal, or the metal ends at a point, and the cage is hard plastic/rubber. I wanted to port what was my stock ones, because the ones I bought were kinda rough. Were there different cages between years or something? Oh yeah--the metal brackets that keeps the petals from snapping were different sizes (between my 05s cages, and the purchased ones.) I can get pictures after lunch of the '05 stock plastic/rubber ones.
  11. What's going on with the pipes?
  12. Banshee > [Almost] Everything I like to roost, and two stroke gets me high.
  13. Jeffs right. Those rollers can wear fast too! That's what happens when you're putting some power to the ground.
  14. Shit...I want them too lol where is this kid.
  15. I'm going to be rebuilding within a few months here, and was looking to port around the same time (maybe.) I'm trying to save the money now to do it....I have stock jugs. I wanted to send it to Kevin though, so I'd have to hear some sweet music. Maybe we can work something out?
  16. That's what I was looking for. I know my jetting is off, I haven't plug chopped it yet...I just got the damn thing put together, chill.
  17. Current Setup: -Toomey T5s, K&N Pods, Ported cages w/ Carbon Fiber petals, TORS Removed... @ Sea Level, 67-110*, 65-80% humidity. -330 mains, 25 pilot (want to bump up to 27.5), stock needle position (middle.) My Question: How should I change my jetting for the under 65* temps which we usually experience at night? (My first winter with a Banshee...and I live in FL btw, so we dont have much of a winter...it's usually 65-70 during the day which is fine, but I want to keep night jets on hand.)
  18. No one said George Bush himself sat down and decided to destroy the 2 stroke world. It just so happens that it was passed under his presidency...therefore people will blame him for it.
  19. Great posts guys! I'll definately be using one of these setups. (The do it yourself, or the trail tech.)
  20. I have no idea who you are. That statement wasn't aimed at you or anything at all. A port job CANNOT be chosen simply on price (that's my point.) Just do the appropriate research, talk to the builder (s), let them know what you want, see what they offer, and get that 'Shee running. If Mopar1 is confident he can do it, check out what he has to offer.
  21. save for a real port job. being impatient is no good.
  22. So what all did you go with? I saw the pics, but I'm about to go ride and didn't want to sit here trying to read the sizes of stuff...what domes did you go with? Your bike has changed a lot since you have been here, and I see you throwing on a lot of the stuff I'm looking to do. I'll catch up to you one day though. I must admit, I'm jealous.
  23. How long is it going to last? That's what I wonder. Supposedly "the gas prices coming down are a reflection upon the economy."
  24. Touche...true story.
  25. I might try messing around and filing those stockers down... The file should allow me to not mess it up to bad, lol, and when I can't make it to the shop to work on my bike I sit at home with nothing.
