  1. Thanks for the info man. I've yet to foul a plug, and haven't had any plug problems *knock on wood*.... Apparently I'm even more anal, because I change out plugs about bi-monthly or so. I don't have to, but I'm usually ordering parts anyways so I throw a new set of plugs in, and keep all the oldies together (that are still good.) NGK must love my ass. Since I've been modding my bike so much lately, and dialing it in all the time, I have plug chopped what NGKs South American plants have produced in the last 6 months. JK JK
  2. If it was running fine for a few days after the TORS removal, and now it's randomly running wierd, it's not the TORS, or lack thereof. Sounds like an issue elsewhere... Rip the carbs apart, clean them (if you have to), and put them back together. Then check for an air leak.
  3. Chariot billet aluminums (not cast) go for $49 on Ebay. If not... Pro Design stuff seems pretty good. I personally don't have one yet, but I think I'm going to order the Chariot one because of the price. I'd be interested in what these other guys say for sure.
  4. Thanks Jamebo...maybe I'll order it and try it. I tried this stuff from a local store, I'll have to get the name of it when I find it...but it absolutely sucked and probably made my plastics look worse (I tried it on a small unnoticable portion first.)
  5. Shit man, I forgot all about you. I'll scratch the Tipmans as they are off your list already. Spyder Compact w/ 21" barrel (has two pieces, can be made shorter by removing one. Have stock barrel also.) And the RT Combo (my favorite...NOS or Compressed Air only...will not run CO2 right.) I'll get the pics as soon as I get off of here, and have 'em for ya tomorrow. Misc tanks and pods, belts, masks, shit like that too. [Not taking pics of all this stuff though.]
  6. How often are you guys changing plugs out anyways? JW
  7. What about getting the shine back? Just re-do the clear coating? They don't come with much clear coat from the factory anyways.
  8. Maybe you should come rebuild mine.
  9. I ran my bike on a really high humidity night... it pretty much boiled over, and I coulda sworn the damn top end was junked (because I ran through EVERYTHING and nothing fixed it.) Week later, after flushing some fluids and stuff, after the temp changed, 'Shee ran sweet again.
  10. My bike is starting to look like hell from trail riding... How can I get my shine back? The plastics are kinda dull now, have dull scratch marks, etc. What products do you guys use? I was told to buff it, then clear coat them.
  11. Lmaooooo. I don't know if it's myth or not, but from all my years of riding, standing a bike up is a no no with all those fluids flowing in odd places. Throw it in the bed of your truck...or on a trailer... I really want an enclosed trailer actually.
  12. I wouldn't feel safe below 290. With the temperature and humidity in the sub tropics down here, I err on the side of rich everytime.
  13. 160+ Compression you need race fuel.
  14. Black, white, who cares.... ...Just wait until we have a Mexican president. All these now "legal born" Mexicans that we are letting in will vote in one of their own. Get ready to start saying "Estados Unidos de America." We had to play cowboys and Indians one time, looks like it's going to be Cowboys and Mexicans next time.
  15. I have 1, lol.
  16. I run 350 mains with pods and T5s @ Sea Level. It's to rich though, but I'm waiting on some other parts so I have not changed them out. 290s sound fair....I'd probably want 330s though. (Stock needle clip position.) I want to bump up the pilots to 27.5s also. My left side was also easier to install than my right, for some odd reason (yes, I know they are different lengths, but for some reason it's odd.) EDIT-- Did you do head and domes yet? I'd port and get bigger carbs. I also did ported reed cages and carbon fiber petals, and noticed better throttle response. (TORS was also removed at the same time too though.)
  17. Chemically remove the chrome, sand, paint hi temp black grill paint.
  18. Check your jetting.
  19. Yes, we remove the TORS because I like the idea of my bike running off and hitting someone, crashing, whatever. You answered your own question. It's to remove the bulky TORS system, and make it easy to work on the bikes. Not to mention it malfunctions and fails more often than it should...so why not just take it off? It doesn't make your top end easier to blow. It's not a governor, it shuts the bike down if your slides stick. So what do you do if your slides stick and you don't have TORS? Choke it. It will flood and kill the bike. Get a kill switch w/ a tether too.
  20. Sounds like the problem is in your carb. I've had the same exact problem...well, my left side was weak. Left carb slide was a bit off, and my throttle cable was f'ed up. 30 mins cleaning up carbs, and tuning it had the Shee running sweet again.
  21. I was able to work with the broken slide...it took a lot of patience and some steady hands, but I believe I fixed it. Thanks anyways guys!
