Really? I think they are great. I just really maintain them (but I do that with almost all of my bike...I try and keep it fresh.) But of course a lot of guys hate Razr 2s also...

I work construction so we deal a lot with fiberglass (insulation.) I can probably explain the situation to one of our suppliers and they can reccommend a material suited to our needs? What kind of tempteratures must it withstand, etc.?

Can we still get tickets for this?

I don't want them chrome at all. I want to stay black. The grill paint is good until 1500*, and the header paint 2000*. What grit paper will take the paint and rust off, to metal? (A range is fine.) I'd rather paint them myself cheaply a round and see how it goes. If it doesn't turn out well, powdercoating will be my next option.

The rock won. Lol. All fixed though [sig]. Picked up some YFZ450 front rims and tires (new) for $50/pair.

I don't use contact cleaner to clean it....I spray it on after to protect it, just like I used to with WD40. (But it is less harmful.) I'll try and line up a side by side comparison of the two and get back to you guys about which works better. Simple Green is amazing.

Any pics of the white marks? I don't know if I hit something white (lol) or what. Do you mean white marks that form when the plastic is weakened? (For example, if you have a black plastic pen and bend it, the bend will turn white/lighten in color.) I don't think my white mark was actually IN the plastic...it looked like it's on the surface, but sure as hell would not wash off.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Hahaha, that's great. CRC (Contact Cleaner) is less harmful than WD40 and works better IMHO. (Not for plastics though...don't spray it on there lol.)

As you can see [sig] my pipes are rusting a bit towards the header.... Can someone reccomend what grits to use to remove surface rust, and to remove all the black paint? And reccomend a paint for it? (Hi Temp 1500* flat black grill paint? Header paint? Is there any high temp gloss? What do you use?) Thank you in advance.

Does that apply to black also? I have a white scratch mark or something, I have no idea where it came from and it's annoying...and it goes across a decal on my front left fender.

Lmao, agreed. I just have a strong hate for the Raptor for no apparent reason. I know a lot of people say Banshee owners have attitude problems "because they think they are so fast" but I find it more with the Raptor guys than anybody else. Especially the stock ones, lol...

The atv shop had 'em and he cut me a deal because of my repeat business (finally!). Looking forward to getting off work and hopefully finishing this beast in the AM hours of tonight. :biggrin:

I have the stock heel guards and metal plates off of the pegs in my garage. Right now I'm running just foot pegs and the fenders. It's dangerous as hell, but I'm not putting the stock guard and plates back on...probably going to get nerfs eventually.
