  1. The only reason why im running at 50/50 is because my compression is not high enough for straight. So I get a few extra gals out of it by mixing it. But for next dunes season, ill be putting in new domes so I can just run it straight. But there is no need to run a high oct if your not built for it.
  2. My vote is still for Oct. You do have +4 going on right now. So you could try to back off the timing, or just try getting some race gas and mix it for a higher oct rating.
  3. You can rebuild the stock one for around $10. They flow enough for stock carbs with motor work. If its not flowing, I would drain the tank. Pull the petcock out and check the inline filters. I bet they have stuff on them. You can use an air gun at low presser to clear the filters from the inside out. There is also a how 2 on here somewhere how to make the stock one into a dual feed high flow. But then you dont have reserve.
  4. If your dont ride the banshee like its made to. The oil will start to build up. When I ride trails in the summer, I have to give the bike a blow out run and oil will be all over the pipes. But in the dunes I dont have a prob at all because it gets ran at WOT alot of the time burning the oil fully. But with the color of the smoke being white/gray I would do a leak down like said above. Also, the pilot will only effect the idle to about 1/4 throttle.
  5. Damn, wish I had stock lights. Those are close to HIDs. But then again, I wish I could put HIDs on my banshee without a batt. But the HIDs in the dunes is a must.
  6. Do you remember the color of the smoke?
  7. +1 on gap. But I change my plugs about every year or less depending on how I ride.
  8. What are you looking for as of gains? What are your plans on for motor upgrades? Whats your price range?
  9. I have ran it for three years. Half the price of race gas and very easy for me to get. Well I guess you dont have a prob. I run it straight in two of my built raptors and a 50/50 mix with my banshee. Have never had a prob with it. Love the smell of it being burnt.
  10. Power gain over what?
  11. contact your local tire place. They can shine you in the right way.
  12. Take it to the gym...
  13. If the weather is warmer then it is jetting. It was good for the winter. But now its starting to warm up. Try turning the air screws 1/4 turn out and see how that feels. But I would clean the carbs anyways for the hell of it to make sure they are clean anyways. Better to start there and eliminate something from being clogged. Also, if you over oil the filter/filters, the oil will work its way to the slides and collect the fine dust that is past buy and make the slides start sticking. Just and FYI.
  14. I will raise you with a Rossier exhaust for the 660 raptor. Side note. I need to pull the boat out and start selling the parts wall. Might have enough to start my rail project.
  15. Im lost as a virgin on prom night!
  16. I used silicone that I us for work. It has to stand up to acid and some other lovely chemicals that you have to use the darth vader mask for.
  17. You can turn the fuel off and run the carbs dry. I have to do that when I have to stack my bike in the toyhauler. Just vary the rpms from idle. But not much.
  18. im not a big fan of carb cleaner. It tends to fuck with rubber to much. I only us it on my carbs if all the o-rings and gaskets are taken off. I just used an air gun to blow the filters out from the petcock being taken part. But not to much air.
  19. 27.5 pilots. 1-1/2 turns from fully seated. Needle in the middle. Mains I would startout at 310 if ur cold if ur in the 60's or higher, try 300. That should get u in the park to start. But ur elevation is going to get you. But what temps areu seeing right now?
  20. Are u talking about the idle screws or the air mix screws? But yes. Read the hell out of that site?
  21. There is a built in drain. Its the screw at the bottom of the bowls. But they are a bitch and not worth the stripping of the screws and wasting the fuel
  22. Maybe over stock and some other little things. How much was it? If it was over 60. Then its a rip. U could have just gottn pods. But that also won't help out in water or mud
  23. You will do just fine with 3 hd springs. I have tried all 6hd springs. So unless you have some Popi arms, you will get very tired pulling the clutch in from all the hd springs. More then likely you will have muscle fatigue first. So just going to 3 is a massive improvement.
  24. My head hurts!!! What octane of gas are you wanting to run? What is your elevation? What type of riding will you be doing? Why do you want the CDI? Is the stock one working ok? Is the bike all stock? Do you have the crazy looking boxes (tors) on top of the carbs? For the Boost bottle and the price of the jet kits. You should be close to having a timing plate and impeller.
  25. Could have told you that the inline fuel filter was a bad idea. You might want drain the tank and take the petcock off. There are two prefilters to the petcock inside the tank. I can bet that there is shit all over the reserve filter. So are you saying your idle surge is gone now that you unplugged the black box under the tank?
