  1. You run 30s you will over load the bike with fuel and foul out plugs. And (F) the instructions for jetting. Its more of a suggestion.
  2. Figure out if your going to run the K&N lid or not. You just can pick if your going to us it someday over another. Unless you rejet for it. If your wanting a pre filter. Outerwear make a cover to go over the stock intake box. In the past years. I have found out that my outerwears only have lasted for around 2 years before I have to buy new ones. They tend to get clogged up with really fine sand from where im at. I have tried to brush them out and blow them out with the air gun. But nothing. Gets to a point that I can't even breath through it.
  3. Yes. Very true. Last year I had both my tailtech hid lights go out on my raptor on the fun drunken ride back to camp from the hill. I have now kept a head lamp and a flashlight I'm my camelback. Also come in handy for the guys riding dirtbikes and they get stuck out there after dark
  4. When u did the crank. Did u soak the clutch in anything? Or did u put it on dry?
  5. Oh you did forget the late night drunkn dune ride to the HILL...IE (olds) around 9pm ish. You will see many campfires. Lots of people out wanting to race their pride and joys. Then the lovely slow and scary dune ride back to camp. Depending on when you go. I might be out there the weekend after newyears. This last newyears there was crazzzzy. way to many cops!!! I will keep my ass away from the major weekends for now on. But if its your first time. It is something not to miss on a packed weekend. Many as up to over 100,000 people. Oh yeah... Watch out for rails come straight up over dunes. I have seen my brother almost been hit three times this year by a rail coming over a dune. So try to find some virgin sand.
  6. Main: 300 Needle: Middle Pilot: 27.5 Air Screw: 2 turns from fully seated Read this http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
  7. Do a leak down test
  8. if your really haven a prob. Just grab the welder and weld that bitch on there. LOL Or just stand back and start throwing tools at it. Yell at it and one swift kick. The dog barking and then the door rings. Sorry Officer, just getting my master link on!!!
  9. I have used gear oil/ motor oil and atf type f. I have been using type f for about three years now and just got done rebuilding my motor to put a new crank in. Everything looked new. I change it often because there is no filter. I just buy the cheapest stuff I can find. Others will say to use other oils. But it all comes down to what you want to use. And what your pocket can afford. Just my .02 But what have you been running? Because if you change. You will need to drain. Run the new oil for a ride. Then drain again and refill to get all the old stuff out.
  10. I just use 2 needle nose pliers. 1 to help hold the bodies together. And the other one to help slide the clip on.
  11. You will need to have your registration for your bikes to be on the safe side. If not then they will take them. You will also need to have a CAL off road sticker for each bike. Unless your bike has and OHV sticker from the MVD of your state. You will also need to have a weekend pass for the truck/car/rv you will be driving. Make sure to bring jets. It will go from 70ish down the the 30s at night. You cant have glass bottles. So cans only. GPS if your new. read this site. He has alot of way point for the GPS http://www.dunereview.com/glamismap.htm You will be fine with reg dirt tires up front. But for the rear. I would look at getting some paddles. When you ride, just remember that the cell phone tower has a red flashing light. It is a good point of reference. When you come to a dune ridge, always come at it at a 45deg. So you can commit or go back down. My groups saying, "If in doubt, throttle out!" If you go on an off weekend, there will be almost no Rangers/Sherrif's out there. But if you go on a busy weekend. You will see them everywhere!!! Just go to youtube and watch "Glamis" movies.
  12. Do you have a tors kit? If not try unplug'n the black box under the gas tank. I know if my bike got wet when I still had the tors. It was crazzzzy. Damn those Yamaha guys for thinking of that gay thing.
  13. do you mean a 27.5 pilot? If you take the rad cap off, start the bike. Do you see air bubbles? What head do you have? Im guessing if your saying that itsnt the head gasket. Im going to say that you might have a warped head/jugs. A crack or the gasket didnt seal. If you say its Puking coolent. Then air is being compressed into the coolent fluid causing an over presser making the cap open and shoot out coolent. Or you have over heated causing a warped head/jug. Also, when you got the new gasket, did you get it for the new bore size?

  15. I have had the FF's and nothing but back luck with them. But that was when they first came out. I will never buy a set of arms the have heims over ball joints on the spindles. If you run the FF's I would highly recommend to use blue locktight on all bolts on the arms. I had an allen screw on the bottom of the spindle come out. It made for one hell of a ride. If you ride sand. I would really look into ball joints. The heims on my rhino I have to change out every year because they just get eaten way by the sand. But mostly and arm with a lifetime will be a great upgrade over stock. I have always had great luck with +2+1 arms on all my quads. If you watch ebay. There are always arms on there for around $300. I got mine new from Burgard for around $250shipped from their overstock. Also had the prob from the Heims in the sand of them always making them squeaking like an old wagon going down the road.
  16. Most all the T5 pipes i have seen with open air box will always take a 27.5 pilot. try the needle on the 4th clip If you have the stock pilots 25. Turn them in to around 3/4 to a full turn out from fully seated. read up on this http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
  17. Read up on this to help understand the Jetting of the banshee http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
  18. You are way lean if your not running the lid. I wouldnt ride it anymore tell you get some bigger jets in there. I would start with 250 mains needle in the middle air screw 1-1/2 turns from fully seated. Also make sure your carbs are synced or you will have one shitty bottom end. Read up on this as well http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html

  20. Just adding the braided lines did wonders. Just adding that helped out all my bikes. U don't get the flex in the rubber hose like u do in the braided when u pull the lever in.
  21. Floatvalve needle and seat. But if u replaced both of them, then try adj ur floats so they will shut the valve sooner. If that doesn't help then the seat and needle aren't seating fully.
  22. I just got the three led light that they use for a trailer marker. Mounted it to the back of the air filter box. I think I got it from walmart or an auto parts store for like $5
  23. Yeah their manual blows donkeydick. It took me about 30mins to figure out how everything went together. Also, keep a close eye on the axle nut. Mine kept coming lose. So I just tightened the living hell out of it and put blue locktight on the alen screw in the nut. Been good for two years of dune riding.
  24. I have ran lonestar +6 and g force +4. I have had one prob with the lonestar which snapped I half right off by the break rotor. Life time on it and they relaced it for free. I guess they have changed their ways of making them. So far so good. As for the g force. I have nothing bad to say and has been riden hard and had a great price to it as well. I could have had two g force axles for the price of lonestar. But then again those aren't aluminum
  25. Or u can use the air meter guage that they use on the old vw air cooled motors. Some of the site sponsers have the tools on hand. If I remember I picked mine up off ebay for around $35 shipped. Great tool to have on hand. I thought I could get them tuned in by eye and sound. Boy was I way off after using the air meter guage.
