  1. yeah, i wouldn't have tried to run it w/o the stop pin for the ring. what kind of piston was it? i personally use pro-x pistons and like them. no trouble w/them.
  2. brandon, you use mastercam to create the program for you to cut those little grooves? you use a little 1/16" ball endmill? looks like excellent machining.
  3. if its a vitos kit, maybe have them do the porting work on it??
  4. threebond 1194 and 1104 (older version), is the same stuff as the yamabond stuff.
  5. what pilots are you running?
  6. they claim w/the different slides, that the fuel gets atomized better and they claim better throttle response. i don't for a second, buy into the hp claims. and they claim a cooler running engine. give me a break. i don't see how. if you make more horsepower, don't you need more fuel and thus create more heat? those ufo thingies have been around for a while.
  7. i personally would hold out for something better. check ebay. gotta be better deals around to be had, considering the economy.
  8. you mean...."should be a cardboard brown color on insulator end and halfway down the ground strap"....LOL.
  9. if the rings are upside down on a banshee, are they not able to be compressed fully/properly into the ring groove? i know some sleds are like this. if that is the case, maybe that is this guys problem? for proper ring orientation, you need to look for a little letter marking, very near the ring end gap. the side w/the marking should face up. hope this helps. maybe you do have the wrong piston size? did you measure the outside diameter of the piston and the inside diameter of the cylinder bore, to see if something obvious sends up a red flag?
  10. yeah, they run anywhere from 28,000-42,000rpm. that's just insane. the nitro content of the fuel can be anywhere from 10%-40%, and vary on the lubrication from 10%-20%. nitro r/c cars are so cool like banshees.
  11. stock needles w/clip in middle position, air screws 1-1/2 turns out, 27.5 pilots, 230-240 mains. now go have fun.
  12. the reason the triple exhaust ports are added, is to increase the exhaust port area, if the main exhaust port is already at the max width limit and you still need more area. if you don't need anymore exhaust area for your port work, then IMO i don't think the triple exhaust ports will benefit you.
  13. i run the nitromethane in my t-maxx's as well......aren't they fun? i ported mine too. i think the 750hp monster sled you're talking about, has a 4-cylinder kawasaki bike engine on it.
  14. X2  maybe pipe manufacturers don't post such info, cause of competition taking/stealing those specs/info?
  15. you said you might put the stock stator back on? so, do you currently have like a rickey stator on it? if so, why did you change it in the 1st place? rickey stators are junk. also, check you pickup coil gap maybe. the reason that one carb was leaking gas, was because either the needle for the seat is junk, or the float height is off. probably the last thing.
  16. here, approx 5/8-3/4 way down the page: http://www.sudco.com/mikunijets.html you need the M28/1001 series.
  17. do you have k&n clamp on pod filters? i'm also going to guess that you'll be better off running stock needles, than those rich/fat vito ones.
  18. what is your elevation and riding temps?
  19. guys, don't buy nothing from this guy. i bought a set of carbs from him that were suppose to have good threads for the carb caps. when the carbs showed up, the threads were all stripped. now he won't answer my pm's and try to make the deal right. stay away from zcurotz33 people.
  20. here's a pic....its the black rubber tube that goes from one carb to the other.
  21. you don't need the rickey stator brand stator. i was just asking if you had one, cause then i would put some money on it that its the shitty rickey stator. but since you don't have one, i'm guessing you don't have the cross over tube in. seeing as you don't seem to know what tube the guys are talking about (no offense), i would be willing to bet the farm that it is gone. i'm going to look for a pic to post and help ya out.
  22. if it likes the bigger mains, then give it bigger mains. you just may need to get different needles, to help lean out the rich midrange then.
  23. i see you have a rickey stator plate, but do you have a rickey stator "STAOR"?
  24. what kind of stator?.....rickey stator?
