  1. its a thought i have.. i guess its not what i really need for my style of riding.. it is nice though.. when i go trail riding its pretty easy to put an ass whoopin on just about all that want to race.. i am thinking about doing a rz350 conversion..
  2. yes u can, would be underpowered for a cub but would run good.. i have a cub cylinder i was thinking of selling, it is polished and has about 12 hours on it, also have a cool head with 20cc big bore domes.. my cub is the stock stroke 68mm bore..
  3. sounds like the carbs need cleaned, could be a main jet stopped up.. i would clean and inspect, no fuel on one side also means no lubrication.. be careful running it that way.
  4. i have heard they do not like a lot of rpm, they are more of a lower rpm 2 stroke with more tourqe. i would race one if i could, i think that the suzuki 250's were slow turds, .
  5. is it a drag bike?? i assume so. if it shifted fine i would just run it.. thats just me..
  6. was thinking of doing some trading. i have a stock stroke 68mm cub , its polished ( very very low hours) would like to find a rz topend with all electronics.. what do you have?
  7. you could look for just one cylinder ( the side that is damaged) find a used topend, get a loan and get your cub., not much else i can say.. good luck
  8. well lets start this off.. i go for 60.00 ..
  9. yep there stuff is cheap knock off copys.. i have one of there heads, finally got the sob to seal up, so far so good, i bought a new impeller from them for my NEW CUB motor, after 12 hours of riding( i know this cause i have a trail tech vapor) bike was running hot, tranny full of coolant, there cheap ass impeller's shaft was grooved all to hell, what junk, it was installed with a new bearing and seal, i put a stocker in there for now, no problems so far.. i will never buy anything form them..
  10. dont laugh.. a homestyle oven. it works great.. just limited on the size of items i can bake. i do engine cases, cylinders, swingers, lot of stuff.. cinder blocks huh?? they hold temperature well?? i guess so( like a chimney)?
  11. hey tate, i have been coating for a little over 2 years, i had a question on your oven, how did u make it?? whats it made of?? electronics and elements used?? and what size sand blaster do u have?? the biggest things i can blast and bake are like +2 swingers, 17 inch rims, i just wanna be able to do frames and shit.. thanx man, gary
  12. i had a set of the high revs and loved them, they where on a shee that i sold.. i should have kept them.. oh well.
  13. how about your slides? are they in correct?? it is so easy to get the wrong slide in the wrong carb, and when u do they are in backwards..
  14. i have a modquad head on my cub motor and it sucks balls!! its hard to get it to seal around the studs, i used rtv around the head nuts, no leaks so far, its a shitty design though.
  15. could be yout shift shaft( has a spring made on it inside that can go bad).. i would call jeff at F.A.S.T. racing or jim at passion racing, i got mine from jim, he was good on the price and is the best guy to deal and work with.. he just called me back the other night on doing some motor work for me..
  16. dude theres no way its the reeds, if it were the reeds you would have more problems than just starting.. have u cleaned the carbs yet?? that pilot jet is prone to getting clogged,, also is the choke tube hooked up(between the carbs, its a short tube), also turn your idle air screw all the way in(don't crank down on it, just turn it in until it stops) and back it out 2 complete turns( on each carb) the smallest thing with a carb can make these things run like shit.
  17. yea they can be a pain in the ass.. i always use wheel bearing grease, then install the oring, and it will stay in place almost everytime.. you can also try to heat the o-ring with a heat gun or hair dryer, makes it more plyable and soft, good luck, you will be riding in no time..
  18. yep i just need the bottom half from a set of cases.. anyone have one they wanna sell??
  19. yeap. the upp ones are bad ass, you can't hardly grind them down ( had to get one to fit a lonestar swinger once), i agree and would run it also..
  20. just leave the shift shaft in there.. just pull the seal and reinstall like nyuk said, he is right. i would rub a little silicone on the outside of the seal where it mates with the case, just in case the case has been galged before, just cheap insurance to prevent a leak!!
  21. i would ditch the t5's and get cpi inframes or shearers.. put dual carbs ( i am running 33's on mine) and hold on, i am running a 48 pilot, and a 148 main, and it is strong.. the late powerband is the nature of the beast, but the good part is when the motor starts to pull and pull and pull.. that single carb and t5's are whats holding your cub back, the motors love to breathe , and they like fuel a lot also.. hope this helps.
  22. above sea level
  23. heres my setup, trail/play port, stock cylinders, noss head 19cc domes, +5 timing, 2 into 1 carb, t5 pipes, K&N.. i run 93 pump gas and its a fast mofo, i would be afraid to stretch my tune anymore on it, but it is safe right where its at.. so yes i have ran 19cc domes on pump gas, but it also depends on altitude, i am about 500 ft asv.
  24. what are u gonna do with the cub cylinder?? is it fixable?? i am interested.
