have to split it!! no way past, the seal has a lip that seats into the cases, i would not try to cheat it, may cause more headache!. god luck bro!

check the plug and replace it, check for fire, is the plug wet when u take it out? check for compression. something should show itself,

let me think a minute, if you go to bike bandit.com, they have it on mircofiche, i just looked it up for you and they are calling it a dowel pin, and there part number is4688-001, thats not a yamaha number but its bikebandits stock number, they are $1.06 each. i am sure the dealer will find it on there microfiche for you.

yes its very important, u can get them at the stealership, or at bikebandit.com. they are cheap, i would suggest get new ones, so then u have no worrys and a happy motor.

the crank is not welded, the stator is not included, it is bad, i am planning to try and rewind it, i beleive its a moose stator. the crank is like new, bike was built, then decided to part it out, i ended up with the bottom end, disassembled it, powdercoated cases, reassembled, i was going to keep it as a spare but i really just need the money right now..

yea ricky stators are not that great, my opnion is that if you get a good one the first time you are lucky.

i have a good stock bearing carrier, i had installed new bearings, and then about 3 months later got a +2 roundhouse swinger setup, so this is for sale, seals are also still good, 40.00 plus shipping?? offers?

i have a bottom end that was just assembled, has a stock stroke hot rods crank, the cases were just powdercoated silver metalic, all sealed up and ready to go, only thing missing is the clutch basket. has a stock transmission, modded shift star, also needs the shift shaft, i can email pics if anyone is interested, my digital camera got lost, but i bought another one off egay and got it today.. not sure what to ask for it, was thinking around 550.00

go for it dude. his intake setup is supernice, it would be your best route!!

have u changed out the spark plug, sounds like it is not firing under a load, when cars have a mis due to bad plugs or wires it usually misses when its under a load, thats what i would try first.

and if that all checks out ok, grab the flywheel and pull up and down to see if there is any play in the crank bearing.

hey man heres is what i have on my 35mm pwk.. i have a eek needle, 165 main, 48 pilot, 2 turns out on the airscrew, also needle on middle clip
