  1. I know a builder who matched them on all the bikes he does, just a few minuets with a rasp, and the bikes do flow a little better, the jugs stay a little cooler, but even a few degrees helps.
  2. i ran castor at like 60-70 :1 one time, not on purpose, someone poured the wrong tank in the bike it was straight 100, but it ran SOOOOO damn good i just KNEW it was going to blow so i stoped and drained the tank, not my lawn mower runs on 100 octane mixed way too lean. for a two stroke, i could have added more oil but id rather not risk it not knowing what the mix was.
  3. that vent line does not connect with the overflow bottle. well its not supposed to , its supposed to connect with a T to the vent on the back of the cases right under the rear motor mount. but if it is antifreeze its likely overheating.
  4. search it. And i run Castor 927 its really sticky, when i tear down the cylinder walls and everything stay nice and coated with it.
  5. Is it coming out of the tube or from behind the water pump cover on the side case? that vent line does not connect to the water pump, but you might be seeing the vent line for the overflow tank.
  6. It makes sence EXCEPT the air isnt being force in and blowing up against the top, there is a vacuum sucking air past the slides creating a vacuum up there. Id would be tempted to try them, BUT i have 34PJ's and im not spening 50 bucks to try them.
  7. Ive cheated. my clutch is still goodish there is plenty of fiber left BUT the pressure plate doesnt hold good. i put an extra steel in there so its fiber steel fiber steel steel fiber etc... and it holds the springs tight. and works great.
  8. Well, i live in a part of Las Vegas where the neighborhood is all 3/4 acre lots, and at the end of my road is a few warehoused, it used to be alright for me to ride down my road to the road where the warehouses are so i can test my banshee without having to load up and drive 30 min and come back to fix it. Until a few idiot mexicans that live on the same road decided it was alright to run up and down just our road. which also used to be fine. but they went and ran from the cops and flew down the side of the road kicking up dust, pissietc... now i cant ride even down my road slowly to get to the warehouses. So what people like that do does NOT just affect them. And ive stoped for cops, most say ride it slowly, or go home because i always have a helmet and boots on, and simply exlpain i am testing it out.
  9. Yes but like i said you can get a kit with aftermarket ones cheaper then each at the dealer.
  10. WOW i did that to my shift shaft last time it was apart, i didn't even realize that that was the shift shaft mod. I just knwe form and engineering standpoint that it would help. SWEET
  11. maybe not a silhouette, maybe change it to grayscale then make it really dark so the outlines of the curves can be seen.
  12. We had a bunch of shit stolen in June of last year from a place we own out of state. Got out there over a month later and started asking around and found a few other people had shit stolen and found out who took it and where they and their friends lived, drove 50 miles to find most of our shit and A LOT of other peoples stuff. WE had to do the detective work and WE had to wait an HR after we found out shit for the cops to get there to get our shit back. So if i were you i would be finding out who she hangs with and where all of them live and just drive by their house and see if you can get a look out back.
  13. VERY nice, do you have any Bolt-IN's ha
  14. You need a crank seal kit, you can get them from many places if i have to do seals i just replace both but the one that is bad is the one in the red box you should replace that one AND the one on the stator side just to be safe plus a few more bucks is good insurance. Burning oil is one thing, burning pistons is another. And unless you want to inspect other things, which if its the first time this motor has been apart I would, you can cheat and leave the top end on and split the cases upside down and just lift the crank enough to get the seals on and off and BTW its easier to get that nut off before you slit the cases.
  15. Dude go to a salvage yard and pick up the computer, heads, and "Intake" form a GTP then get a pulley and a tune those cars can be FAST for cheap if you know where to look, assuming its the 3.8L
  16. Is it both sides or just one side? and what ratio are you mixing the oil at?
  17. Yeah i ride mine about twice that much everyweekend. And only have to do some mild repair/maintenance every now and then. I work on mine less then my 4 stroke guys. do you know how much a valve shim kit is LOL
  18. if its just a little bit it depends on your pressure and setup, but a little wont hurt slow but can get some speed wobble. I get my hubs even then align one paddle with the valve stem and am good to go
  19. I got some orings that are about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch smaller from lowes, they are in the plumbing area and were like 2 bucks you have to stretch them it takes some manipulating to get them on but its doable.
  20. Its not just a few dollars in gas its a lot of dollars in gas, and as i said before it was a shit load cheaper to build this then a banshee. around here you can get a totaled gsxr 1000 for around 750 if you are patient. cheaper if you are really patient
  21. did you even see the date?
