  1. IVe done it befoe on accident it rolled backward down hill. my timing wasnt off at all just dumb luck. IT didnt hurt anything because i immidatly shut it down
  2. HAHAHAH ive done that too. My friend has a little off brand POS that has NO manual started and a fried electrical system so we push start it.
  3. it could have been multiple things...just because they are off something doesnt mean they will work perfect for something else.. what i mean is they could be meant to hold up to abuse from snow cross but not the abuse of a bike..different lengths in arms means different working and pressue on the shock. it could have been they were getting way over worked along with the kink that caused the oil to foam and build up pressure..then BAM! causing it to blow out... just my .02

  5. Well i cant ride all day long. Number 1 dune rule, DO NOT park facing uphill unless your bike has reverse and your not afraid of rolling it.
  6. I run 50/50 dex-cool. It keeps it cool, and wont hurt the aluminum. Previous owner left the green stuff go acidic and it ate the drain bolts on the side of the cylinder, which is fine because thats their jobs.
  7. well that depends on why you have to pull start it. But i park on top of a hill facing down all the time and kill it. When in ready to go just pop the clutch and she fires right off.

  14. If i could id roll our whole tool box onto the truck everytime we go riding because whatever tool i dont grab well... :: so deffinatly all the tools you need to strip it down to a bare frame and empty cases just because.

  17. It burnt down because (i dont care what your elevation is) 280 is waaayyyyy to lean for ANY ported motor.
  18. Being a dodge its likely the IAC (idle air control) valve , if that old has one, just get a can of throttle body cleaner and spray it really good while its running and holding the RPM's up some. if its not dirty, clogged, or not working then its probably a fuel problem
  19. A friend of mine has a few busas one about 700HP im looking for a fuel injected anything to turbo up. And ima going to build one with a regular busa engine so he can toss his extra 500hp busa motor in. But all this is on the "List" ohhh and that's a LOOOOOOOOOOONG list haha. Do you thing a 500hp banshee would be slower then a 10 mil or hell even a 20 mil
  20. Hopefully by the beginning of next riding season we will have everything in order to go out on a pretty regular basis. Amazingly enough been riding for like 4-5 years now and still haven't made it to the big D :sad: ::
  21. I don't know anything about any of you, I say anyone i didn't mention any names. If had random people tell me that its not going to work, or be that fast, etc... and it pissed me off that why i said anyone. And as far as his riding experience that is not my issue he suggested this idea, i didn't tell a noob to go do something crazy. Ive got too much work to do. i would LOVE to go out this weekend, but i can't. Not only do i need to do all this work i need to put some good chain rollers on the zx9 so the chain wont jump at WFO.

It isn't true that a 4mil can do anything and a bike motor can't. we build our as a duner its no bigger or heavir the a stock DS 650. we built it to be a duner I can fly through the whoops and jump it a little bit. But we made the motor a little too low. but name a 4 mil u can ride all day on less then 5 gallons of gas. don't let ayone talk you out of it its sooo much fn to be able to smoke almost everyone without leaving 1st gear. A stroker may make almost as much power BUT the mike motor has a flatter power curve it on long and IMHO pulls much harder for longer.
  23. ok do if you need pistons with a higher wrist pin hole you have a 5MM long rod if you piston is 5 MM above the head. if its standard pistons and it goes up 2 mm you have a stroker rod, if its standard pistons and goes up 7mm its a long rod 4 mill stroker, if you have the correct long rod 759 pistons and its up 2 mm its a 4mill long rod (needs spacer), if its 795 pistons even with a long rod stroker you its houldn sitck up any more then 2 mm. I suggest you find a local builder if you cant figure this out.
