  1. You adjust it till your clutch arm on the top left of the case lines up with the little triangle/arrow cast in the top case. The arm is just above the sprocket on top of the eng and the clutch cable hooks into it.sounds like you need to loosen up your adjustment at the clutch lever too at the hendlebar that should hav 1/8in play.
  2. I assumed he was running paddles my bad. Our local track is a tilled river bottom dirt track with sand mixed in and we run paddles. It's heavy stuff.
  3. I'll be there. Black bike, red seat, +10 swingarm. In a group with a blue yfz, yellow renegade, ktm 525, and a bunch of our kids. Radar
  4. Wow 1/2 a mile I was going to say trade pipes for some tq but for 1/2 mile I'd leave it. I would probably run whatever will pull around the track in 4th or 5th but you will have 6th if you need it. That all depends on the rider and tires etc. Stock 14/41 gearing with those pipes would top out at a higher speed than you'll run on that track in 6th, but i'd gear it to scream and be just about at top rpm in 5th which. Remember it's a 1/2 mile dirt oval with less than 1/8 mile straights and I doubt your bike would hit 90 mph. 15/41. Only 1 tooth up on the front. If you gear it too high the gears will be spaced farther apart and you'll not be on the pipe when you come out of the corners. It's easier to come out of a corner smooth when you are already in the powerband and not have it hit when you are coming out.
  5. IMO it's gearing mostly but I think a 155 might be slightly rich just look at your plugs. I think a 15/40 is too high a gear for a 421 on gas unless you are running a bunch of timing or racing 500 feet. You dont need to be geared to run 100mph I'd bet if you had 15/44 and start in 1st it'd be a lot better or about a 14/43 to launch in 2nd. My 421 on gas needed about a 14/43 to pull hard off the line in 2nd but would launch in 1st with a 15/43 15/44. A gas cub doesnt have as much tq off the line with 4 or 5 degrees of timing as we would like sometimes. I dont think you have a pos just a little tuning and it'll be fine.
  6. That's $310 for fronts only or rear too?
  7. They are a very good tire. I've found them to be a little smaller than a 21" hauler but slightly bigger than a 20" hauler. They work fine on say a 2 or 3 mod- piped, pod filtered bike, stock swinger bike. And that's cheap.
  8. That makes no sense at all.
  9. Man you should be able to just pull a plug and see if the porcelain part is gray or light tan color dont go by smoke at all. The porcelain should be a little brown. Wide open throttle and 200s should not smoke at all it should burn up and pop on ya. Make sure it isnt burning coolant or something.
  10. Got some coming thanks.
  11. Jared your not bringin it to Genoa Neb on the 13th for the NOHVA Jamboree are you. I know of a few guys there including me that wouldnt mind seeing it. I think that's a sweet bike for the price.
  12. U better buy one of those they are about $25 to ship.
  13. I have 2 Douglas Blue Label wheels that are 10" no dents or anything with the 156mm bolt pattern. I need 2 10" wheels with the reg yamaha 115mm bolt pattern if anyone wants to swap.
  14. most of the time not. 450ccs or so use bigbores. It depends on your builder and his porting and how he sets you up with timing etc. Most 421s use small bores
  15. Icefire banshee a 21X12X8" Skat trak Extreme 10 paddle is about twice the tire as far as hook as you have now stay away from the 22s they are much heavier now and they wouldnt work as well for you as a 21". Find some of those or get new from rockymountain atv for pretty cheap. Make sure you use an 8" rim for dragging We will be there at the jamboree in genoa. I'll be on my black +10 banshee with a red seat, a blue yfz, yellow renegade, maybe a KTM if it's done and all our wives kids. Hevent ever been to the jamboree, looking forward to it.
  16. He doesnt have a real pic cuz he's probably trying to get you to send him money and will make it cheap and then he will supposedly ship it to you free when you pay him for it. Then he'll probably run off with your money. That's why the email address and the whole 1 post he has. you ever heard of him NO, anyone vouch for him NO. I wouldnt trust it at all. He'd probably sell it to you for $3400 shipped or $2800 cuz he's in the military and leaving the country.
  17. Lookin for a front setup with 10X4" douglas blue labels that work on stock 4/156 type hubs and 130/90/10 scooter tires. Give price please. Might have to get new ones if nobody has a good used set. Thanks Radar
  18. I had a set of the GBC dune trackers and liked them pretty well. I have a set of kenda dune runners on wheels i'll sell off my bike cuz i have a diff setup coming. they are 21/7/10s $140 shipped they are perf shape no dings/dents etc. They steer a little better than dune trackers IMO. I can ship em in 24hrs if you want em.
  19. That sux man good luck with the sale. I'll ask around locally for ya.
  20. IMO you are way off on tire right now with the 10" rims and a 20" tire . If fully drag ported with a +9 swingarm I would say get a 10,11, or possibly a 12 paddle extreme. If you have 90 HP alky, out of frames get the 12 paddle, if it's a gas motor it will be a little less on torque so it might not turn the 12s as well but you are light so I say use a 11 paddle 22" tire on an 8" rim 72" rollout. Radar
  21. Definately dont get 12s. 14's would be too little IMO as well. I'd say if you have a +12 or longer swingarm which I hope you have a +14 or 16 you'll need a 25" 18 paddle. I think you are slightly over rating your HP but get some 16s at least or some 18/18 rippers if it's soft sand.
  22. If you want a stock bumper that's not trashed and still has the rubber ends I have one I havent Ebay'd yet that's really new looking and not trashed. I'll take a reasonable offer for it. Radar
  23. I'd get something different as well. It would really run better with something like FMFs, or my favorite Toomey T5's. The T5's will work very well on a ported bike too. For playin and duning or fast riding the T5's or FMF SSTs will be better. Dont get me wrong I love CPIs and Shearers just they are the wrong choice with a stockish motor. Just my opinion.
