  1. Its a lot of things, needles used, porting, amount of timing, elevation, if you were running +9 degrees of timing you'd need a much fatter carb than a +4 timing guy. Every bike is different.
  2. 40 HVs, Remember the lectrons are actually smaller than they are listed and sold as which is fine. A 40 is a couple mm smaller than 40mms. My 421 pulled some real nice hp and torque #'s on 40 HVs but if you are dragging only or using alky I'd use 39 or 41.5 pwks. The tuning ease of lectrons is nice tho.
  3. 39s arent too big for dragging. If you were wanting to putt around they would be. Depending on what needles you have as well as pilots you'll be messed up. I had a bike with 35 pwks on it with big (65) pilots and way rich (DEG) needles and it was rich with 135 mains in it. I got the right CEL needles and like 45 pilots and it ran like a champ with 152 mainjets. I'd guess you have a needle or pilot that's real fat maybe. Do you definately have 39mm PWKs? 35mm PWKs would need about 150-158 mains probably. Radar
  4. I think you are having probs in jetting. Boggy as crap under a load with mikunis would mean fat IMO.You dont say what your plugs look like. T 5's will run pretty well with a cub. I had T 5's on my old 392 cub and it pulled hard. I gained with cpis but I think you are fat on the main. I would have guessed like a 270-290 on the main. Those arent stock carbs, you wont need 390s. With a complete cylinder change your jetting can be up or down from what you had.
  5. Most shoot for .042 but as tight as .039 to as loose as .048 is generally acceptable. You are measuring at the very outer edge closest to the bore wall right? That's where it's the closest. Radar
  6. Tedder hite the it right they are the same really, but usually are a little diferent as far as pilot jet needs but over all they work fine. A 35.5mm airstryker jets slightly different than a 35mm pwk and some dont try to jet it differently. My strykers needed a mainjet size about 2 sizes smaller than a 35 pwk due to the carb flowing fuel thru it slightly better but made power.
  7. I'd uses and 3 normal clutch springs and 3 stiller ones with a Gigot slingshot lockup to hold in the higher gears and I think it'll hold up for quite a while for ya. With the fzr 1000 plates you'd have a tough clutch. Make sure you get an easy pull lever if you dont have one too.
  8. There was one on ebay for 2 something, like $249 maybe. Nate Mccoy at Mccoy's perf makes em/sells em too.
  9. Theres one in a part out post in the for sale section for $25

  17. I know Nate Mccoy at Mccoy's perf and Dan Hull at A/S can get a few more hp out of them. I always heard 3 to 8 hp. For $300 if you are really into draggin it might be worth it but they are pretty stout left alone too.
  18. I'm right in town. It's 8 blocks long. Let me know if you wanna swing by over the weekend or something.
  19. I'm in Spring hill Ks, just south of K.C. just come look at them Highboy, those pics pretty much explain what they look like. One tire in the pics has those cracks on nearly every paddle but the carcass is perfect and the wheels are good. The other tire I dont think has a single crack. If you really need more pics I can do that too tomorrow. Gotta go to work now.
  20. Way too long
  21. OH I'LL BE THERE and I'll still be smokin fast on my wifes slow bike Remind me to show you my wreck video from paola last year where I broke the brakes, stem, handlebars etc and slid on my head for 20 feet. BUT I WAS kickin their azzes up until then. LOL Theres just no flat tracking with a +10, 4 mill cub, marvin shaws, override, and shearers on the banshee now. Now you got me started. Tires still for sale.
  22. How about the whole bike? Location.
  23. The 700s can be really strong. They get a huge advantage with the torque they put out a 70- 80 hp raptor with 60 - 65 ft lbs of torque will run with a 90 horse and 50 ft lb tq banshee. I think with the right setup and a 4 mill cub you wouldnt find many raptors that would beat you tho. There are a few that ride at LS that run very well.
