  1. I got my 1-5 duneable in oct and it was a piece of cake to put in. I got mine from Andy at M&M and called him when I was putting in the springs and he walked me thru it in 3 or 4 mins. I love mine.
  2. Those 3 pipes you listed are completely different pipes for differerent applications. The T-6 are for stock porting stock cylinder bikes, the T-5s are best for at least ported and even cub bikes for all around use or duning/drag, and the vitos fat bastarts will really work the best on a topend ported engine turning high rpms and making power mostly just up top 8000-10,400 rpms.
  3. Kinda wish they couldnt post a for sale unless they've been a member for say 90 days. They should also read the for sale posting rules like ASKING PRICE and LOCATION. I'll offer $1,200 if it's close to me. This chit get's old. You know how much you want for it and you wont get anyone to offer more than that, just post a freakin price and location dude.
  4. IMO run as dirty rich at the low settings as you can stand. A lot of people dont also realize if you have your timing advanced you are burning more of the mixture and actually cooling it off before the exh port opens. I've known friends with +9 timing on alky with EGT temps at 1150 that burned a motor down. Those temps would have shown a lot higher (maybe 1300-1400) if it were only advanced say 4 degs. Good thing you know how to tune but i'd run the needle a lot richer and go up on the pilot maybe 2 or 3 so you know it's cool when you let off.
  5. I had my 421 on gas with shearer BB inframes and was running 155s then checked it on an a/f meter and went to 148s 48 pilots and CEL needles. Made 11 more HP.
  6. LOL that's why I bought a jetski. Go ride on the lake when it's hot out. Honda 1200 Turbos are killer.
  7. I had one on my banshee that ran fune it seemed but with a new 4 mill cub motor and tuning it in on the dyno I wasnt getting the peak hp that Nate Mccoy said I should. I had a nice flat torque curve from 8K to 10K but it should have made 15 or 20 more hp than it did. Sent the motor to nate and in 5 mins he told me my stator was bad. Got an old stocker and he put it on and tuned it for me, now it screams, totally different bike but was only a junk 200W Ricky Stator. It jetted right and had good plug color but didnt pull up top from 9K to 10K. Made about the same hp at 8500 as 10K.
  8. That much motor at the track 14 staggereds would be preferred with a little longer arm. I know a guy with Mccoy 4mill cub thats running 16 paddle staggereds.I also heard of a 4 mill running 18 paddle staggereds but thos are 300 ft flat draggers. I think a big 612 DM will turn whatever you wanna put on it. I'm surprised you arent debating between 14 paddle rippers or 16/18 paddle staggereds. Go big if you arent hillshooting and trying to run 85 mph uphill for 500 feet.
  9. I'd say probably half that. I switch tires sometimes and it doesnt seem as dramatic as one tooth on the front sprocket. Try 13/40 thats still a bit lower than stock at 14/41. You can order a few differrent cheap sprockets from rocky mountain atv and get em in about 3 days.
  10. You can get scooter tires for $25 to $35 at most tires dealers and even my dealer has em for $29.99 each and they are pirellis. I got mine from John at Sandtoyz Unlimited for $30 each and they are kind of a dirt tread Duro instead of a street tire.
  11. Why hold back. Tell him what you really think of him LOL.
  12. You can get boots for those carbs for cheap from vitos, plus the other stuff too.
  13. Looks like i wont be there guys. My mother had a a stroke monday and is gonna be stayin with us. I kinda tried to talk the wife into letting us take her but that didnt go over too well. Look for a couple KTMs rollin around 1 is a turbo 525XC.
  14. mid 60s to low 70s with stock carbs.
  15. I hav some 3.5X10s that are just under 17" and some 130x90x10 that are 19". I don't know if a 130x40 exists
  16. Adjust the cable and check the adjustment arrow on the top case. If its bad it will slip in like 3rd gear up
  17. Every engine is different. If it has different trans porting, reeds etc they all jet different. You can definately go by plug chops with all the VP stuff I have ever ran.
  18. Need to know what you're doin with the bike drags, sand, dune riding, tires etc.My 4 mill cub on alky, shearer inframes and a +10 swingarm stands up bad in every gear on sand with 12 paddle extremes. On dirt it would be fine with a +6 probably. Need more info to give good advice.
  19. My35.5mm airstrykers came with DEG needles which was jacked up and needed 135 mainjets but real fat 60 pilots.when I switched to cel needles it was right on and needed 148s to 155s depending on which pipes I has on and 48 pilots. 135s with the cels would have been very lean.
  20. Do what kevin says will run best with that setup. I think if you don't have a welded crank the 17s are a bit much.
  21. Mine was about the same with cpis when I had T5's before. I went down a jet size when i got the CPIs. I had 35.5 airstrykers and ran 155s and 48 pilots CEL needles. The needles change quite a bit of your main jet requirements.
  22. I'm a speed junkie and a 4 mill play port would really run with thos pipes I say add the extra 20 hp or just put the crank in it'll run a lot better.
  23. Did you have any pitting on the crown of the piston or the squish band of the head domes? Detonation can hammer a piston crown and make em seize.
  24. Wow odaen havent seen you in a long time that mapper was very helpful a few years ago when I did 50 and 90cc motors with odd cylinders and rod lengths. I even used it to figure rod lengths a few times based off port durations adn heigths. Stock port timing on a banshee is about 185/115. You dont get port timing strictly off the top of the cyl. It is actually the top of the leading edge of the piston. Honestly if you wanna not hack up your cylinders but wanna play with the motor get a .060 base gasket and get the head decked or some tighter squish domes to get the squish around .040 that way you can get another head and go back if needed. If you want to know what pipes make hp at a particular range or how to port for a pipe you need a lot more info. To tune porting for a pipe theres a formula.. port duration X 1700 divided by the tuned length of the pipe will get you a rpm range where you'll make power. Honestly I like to do things myself but I'd pay $300$500 to get a proven combo and it will run like it should.
  25. Swap carbs and if it does it still is not a carb prob. Ck compression
