  1. Where you from Nick? I know of some trick bikes for sale, some are higher or lower than 6k theres badass 4 and 7 mils for that or less. Some of the 4 and 7 mils out there are bad mofos. I know of 2 sweet 10mil DMs for more.
  2. No dirtbike guys posting yet? I like dirtbikes and probably have 100,000 miles on 2 wheels. If I were getting a dirtbike I'd get a 250 and the part about it being a 2 stroke vs 4 stroke is preference. I hate riding the 450s they just feel like heavy tractors to me and I'm 6'2 and 225lbs. The 250 4 strokes are pretty high maintenence and need new pistons, valves, springs etc put in em pretty frequently. The piston is a pancake design without much skirt so any wear and they'll rock and blow the motor. If it were me I'd take these guys advice about getting a 250 2 stroke, the hondas, kawis, suz 250 bikes are close to 50hp stock and are light and are a blast to ride. They can also be found cheap. I'd do the trade especially for $1500 and then trade the 4 poke for a 2 stroke and get another $1000 out of it. I think you are getting a $1500 dirtbike plus $1000 cash for a $1800-$2000 banshee which isn't too bad of a deal.
  3. I too think 13/42 is slightly low. 14/41 or 42 is what I'd try. You should have too much tire for that short of an arm and 280lbs but it depends on the track.
  4. I agree, a very few builders can get 120hp out of a 10mil cub but that would be a peaky drag motor, there would be no reason to do that to a serval which is built for a broad torque curve and as a bunus it just happens to make HP.
  5. Exactly as Guns said but hard starting is definately a possible sign of low compression or other problems. It should start easy if everything is in good shape. With alky bikes with a lot of timing and compression its hard to start em when they're cold so I don't put my kill lanyard in my kill switch and I hold the throttle open and kick it over twice this way with no ignition, then with the lanyard in it'll fire right up.
  6. Why did you bring this 7 month old thread back up Apb? Anybody that says these poorly designed cyls are gonna make 90hp on gas with inframes should be laughed at. If the plating is like Vitos where it seems like half of them peel I'd stay clear of them for that reason alone.Guys, buy good stuff not knockoff chinese crap.
  7. x3. Weight on the front is the worst type of weight on sand. If you arent dragracing then front brakes are just fine. I find on dirt or street riding/racing it takes me a looooong ways to stop. At the track setup at the genoa nebraska dragraces a couple years ago i partially ran into the river after every pass.
  8. Tiffnaub, your gearing is about right for your 11 paddles or you could run higher gearing. IMO you need more paddle than 11 or have too long of a swingarm. Also if you are running 85mph in 300' with a 421 I'd seriously question the mph or kudos cuz that's darn fast.I'm guessing that's 400 or so.
  9. Your gearing is about right for your 11 paddles. IMO you need more paddle than 11 or have too long of a swingarm.
  10. Yes 15/44 and 14/41 is the same gear ratio. I like to start in 2nd as well but you can use a bit lower gear if you want depending on traction. With a higher rpm pipe/port combo even 14/44 will run over 75mph which may be plenty. Just see what it will pull and consistently leave in 2nd. .
  11. I think Nate McCoy had a used 10mil cyl, Mccoys performance.
  12. Jeez dude you cant even tell anybody what country, state, city your in let alone post a picture.
  13. Sorry I shoulda specified. I'll take the pump cover, not hubs.Thx.
  14. If its ready to ship. I'll take it. PM me your paypal addy. Radar
  15. I'd say K/T is one of the top 20 best there is and the top 20 would be pretty close to tied.
  16. I may be wrong but i believe its a "NCVQ" he needs not a nvcq. These guys are right on yer jetting a 165/168 is needed. might get away with a 160or 162 if it doesnt have the cam mod. But its lean and not as fast as stock with stock jetting even if it feels snappy and fast.
  17. No you do not have to change the pilots with a mainjet change. There are many tutorials and suggestions on here for jetting that will get you close if you look for them and take time to read them. Since you have asked very elementary questions on jetting might I suggest you do not do any jetting on your bike yourself without help from an experienced rider/tuner that can help you.
  18. Nothin for 2 months. I want one of those 4hp intakes, this boss intake having to be sealed with yamabond is getting annoying.
  19. Who ported the stock cyls? An unported cub will outrun 95% of drag ported cylinders. A real good builder can make stockers run very well and outrun an unported cub by a little.
  20. A buds 4 mil vitos crank has seperated twice with low hours on it and bbcmudtruck's 10 mil vitos crank came apart this year and they sent him a replacement and it broke a few rides later. As for their cylinders there's numerous posts where their plating peeled off after one ride and they will not stand behind it at all they just say TOO BAD SUCKER.
  21. Not a good trail trans. WCR cuts what he calls an extreme duneable which you are supposed to be able to ride it any way you want. I believe they are about 450-500 but i'm not exactly sure on that i got my duneable a couple years ago. Andy at M/M a site sponsor has most of the duneables in stock. I'd stay stock transmission if it were me for trail riding, the overrides just make you a bit quicker dragracing.
  22. It seems to me that banshees are the worst to bleed. Yes you probably have air in the master cyl. I've had to tie a caliper higher than the master cyl and pump the heck out of it to get em to bleed, I've used the vacuup pump that sucks fluid (best way) and I've even seen a bike we sat on the grabbar overnight. The vacuum bleed way seems to be 100% the way to go.
  23. Damm! Spurdy first yer new trans broke after a 10 second ride and now its still messed up and then you get talked chit on by the guy that sold it to ya. Like Rodney King said "Can't we all just get along." Lol
  24. If you ordered it from M/M or McCoy's performance you'll get the right dome, those two worked pretty hard on the serval with CP. If you ordered it from somebody that doesnt know that motor setup you may have problems trying to run cheap gas in it. I know M/M Andy and Nate McCoy both put in a lotta dyno time to get a pumpgas motor that doesnt detonate and runs at its best. Pipe selection and Dome both will be critical items.
