  1. Stock cyl, 4 stroke , little cub like say 4 mil and less are all classes that are competitive.
  2. Stick a 7 mil crank in it and enjoy. 7 mils are smooth and unless you've ridden it I wouldnt even consider messing with it. 7 mil cubs can really run and they are smooth running.
  3. Who will have the fastest stock cyl bike? Didn't JD have the fastest last year?
  4. You can still check those plugs because you arent looking at brown color, you are looking for the flat base of the plug at the end of the threads and seeing if the nickle plating is burned on the flat part and how much it is burned. You'd like to see some of that plating turned a flat dull gray color and if its rich it wont burn any and if its right a burn mark will start moving half way around the base. Like from 9 to 3 Oclock.
  5. Actually theres a bunch of short rod 4mils that ive seen last a very long time and a few were very fast. A 110mm rod is fine for rod length for a 58mm stroke. I wouldnt sweat the 110mm rod.
  6. They wont warp but you dont wanna bang or scratch the heck out of em, you might try a little propane heat. As far as the gear , use a penny or rag in the gear teeth and use a hammer on your ratchet. That will get it too.
  7. Do you know what the dump tubes are drilled to and what needles. You didnt run those without billet bowls did ya?
  8. LOL. If its a dogg in 6th and boggs then jet down. Always looks at the plugs or do a plug chop. I'd look at the plugs and make sure its plenty rich and then jump down to 300 or 320 and try it. Make sure you are fat enough on your needle too since the main changes fuel on the needle too.
  9. You have about the perfect tire for a +6 swingarm, if you end up needing a +10 swingarm then you'd want something like 12s. As for gearing probably stock 14/41-43 if you are leaving in 2nd or a little higher gearing if you launch in 1st or ride in 1st and dune your bike. something like 15/43 15/42.
  10. We are coming if its not too wet. Hopefully they don't get any more rain. I even have the wifes RZR ready to go. I'll be watchin and checkin in the morning. Otherwise looks like airshow for us.
  11. Did the rain hit GV? Hows SAT. lookin? I'm debating on LAKE or going maybe. Hoes I will say that Jeff a lotta times doesnt check the track or have rainout info till pretty late.
  12. Ryan ,get a muzzleloader, they are fun and easy to shoot. Just clean the hell out of them after you shoot or they will rust badd cuz the fired powder is corrosive. My daughter even got a deer with a muzzleloader when she was 13 , that was her first deer.
  13. I hate most of the riding boots. I flattrack in a set of Thors but for dune riding and sitting up on the tank I'm like Kickstart , I wear a set of wolverine hiking boots too but I take offense to the cant ride part. I've ran over my foot so many times its not funny and luckily havent killed an ankle.
  14. And 500 to 1000 dollars.
  15. I've ran both and we had CPI's even before shearers were out. They are both good pipes but the CPI's will favor a rookie rider who doesnt shift exactly right, the shearers will run better and if shifted right they wil out run the CPIs by a bike or two on most setups. With CPI's you'll burn your hand every time trying to do plug chops etc. They block plug access and will burn your legs more. If you have long legs or are over 6' tall get shearers for sure. I have seen one or two bikes that liked CPIs but they are rare. I think both sound and look great.
  16. That's awesome Ryan. We got mule deer tags for out in western kansas. I hope we see a few of the whitetails we see out there or decent mule deer. We may do a little deer hunting again in Mo. at a pecan farm we hunt. Sept 10 is our youth season, we'll be out for sure.
  17. You can run a slingshot made by Gigot performance engineering under your stock cover and stock springs. That will be a budget way to have a lockup and a clutch will last quite a long time. Very easy to use good product. You could also get a HD type clutch from M/M atv or FAST and it will hold up to 80-90HP no problem.
  18. WE always have to use the larger boot to git 35mm to 44mm carbs. I dont think it will do much over a 30mm carb without having that adapter.
  19. The 290 looks like it has more ride time on it. I'd do a 300 with more runs on it. Those plugs look a little too new.
  20. That loo like a Yamaha YSR50 or one of the Derby bikes. Theres not a problem in the world with those bikes being 1000-1500. The YSR50 and YSR80 havent been made for about 20 yrs and are very popular with old school racers. Many of the 50s are also street legal. Kinda looks like the racier version of the 80 which is pretty rare.
  21. Shit I'm old sometimes , just depends on who I'm hangin with. Old and mean is better than young and inexperienced any day. I'm a mean old bastard too . We can drink these young punks under the table. Lol. Even on our outdated rides. That's a monster dirtbike most wouldn't even try to ride cuz they are Pussys.
  22. Chinese junk for a chinese 250. IMO
  23. Bump for a good guy. Brock or Adam need these tires on their bikes. That's cheap for a nice set of extremes.
  24. You interested in any drag stuff? Didn't know if you were parting a bike or building a drag bike. Radar
  25. Last time I talked to Andy at M/M he had everything in stock, he will also be at the Little sahara ride supporting and riding with his HQ homeys. .
