  1. LOL. Gary If you part it out. I got dibs on one side bedrail pad. Got any pics? LOL.. I just wanna kick people in the freakin nads that 1 Call dibs, 2 want the smallest cheapest part of anyithing "If you part that $200 swingarm, I call dibs on one of the pivot bearings." 3 Want pictures to everything and they NEVER plan on buying anything.
  2. The answer to your question is yes depending on the fuel. With some fuel and or oil combinations there may be very little color. I had a hard time with VP110 and Lucas semi synthetic oil mixed 40-1. The ring you read on the porcelain was a very faint yellow and instead of any brown color so I jetted the bike with a different oil and used the VP.
  3. The difference in a Comp and a Hillshooter is mostly just the oil and nitrogen capacity is less with a comp and it weighs slightly less. They are very similar but the comp won't handle whoops or bumps as well. If you ride hard or like whoops or dune ride other than drag race then I wouldn't get shaws at all.
  4. A slingshot with the FAST clutch would hold about anything. With a slingshot there's only 6 allen heads to remove the clutch. I love the slingshot and its easy to tune. Just run fewer or more bearings. Nothing holds up IMO like the slingshot. I haven't replaced a clutch since I got one.
  5. I cant laugh either. My bike tries to mousetrap me every time I ride it and once got very close.
  6. Wow. I like that frame. Does it come with a rear marvin or swingarm? Who built it, have you ridden it much, I'd hate to have a frontend come apart or something at 70mph.
  7. The bigbore/smallbore thing is always a debate. Small bores will probably run a bit better for sure and rev a few hundred more RPM for sure but the bigbores should run well on it.
  8. I cant speak for him but I'd guess its a banshee trans. He knows his stuff pretty well.
  9. The servals make pretty good hp with even smallish carbs. I know the 4 mil Nate McCoy was testing in the development of the serval a while back made i think 84hp with stock carbs and surprisingly only made 3 or 4 more HP with 35s and 38s.
  10. The reason he told you 125 on the dumps is so you will have more fuel at the mid/needle position since you have your needle all the way raised. 125 would be a few steps up from what you have now in the midrange. We are assuming its not getting enough fuel off idle and midrange and you aren't having to clean it out by revving the bike up before you make a pass. You'll also want to go up on mainjet size if you have the powerjet wide open and its lean up top.
  11. Those 34s aren't gonna be horribly bad. As for alky I'd make sure you drill out the gas cap and take out the steel bearing in it. Also like they said bolting on a cub is a quick and easy way to bolt on 90hp and I think you'll be close with 34mm lectrons and a 421 cyl with good pipes. If you don't mind having 5 less HP and want to keep lots of torque get a "serval" cub cylinder. M/M, or McCoy's perf won't make you wait for ever to get em. They have em in stock usually, with domes, gaskets etc. If your next post is a "what pipe" post. Shearers get my vote.
  12. Those were the girls mojitos, we had tons of drink stuff left over. I think we had a case of margarita mix, over a case of fufu girly drinks left over like you like Cam. Haha. We even brought home 5 or 6 cases of beer leftover from the pallet we took. I saw more boobies this year than I ever have. Already got my spot for next year.
  13. I would put them in as they came and not raise the windows. I believe you are exactly right when you said someone thought they were doing something.
  14. LOl. Thats too funny. Its really amazing how many people can get together, ride, play , then drink and have fun without too many bitches messin it up or fights.
  15. There is a for sale forum Couplex but if you only sign up for a forum to peddle off yer crap you don't know that? Notice no location, profile pics or previous posts.
  16. I'm gonna make a 5 gallon batch of my own home recipe Tequila Sunrise Sangria, and we are sponsored by Clear 10 Vodka and are supposed to have a butload of vodka with us and Tshirts and stuff. I can't wait to see how my 421 runs now with a few changes. :v)
  17. AKheathen is right on the money. A puller is only $10-20 and can be found at most cycle shops, all the site sponsors, or Ebay. Definately check for a burned or pinched wire, the stator pickup and the stator. Often you can smell a burned stator when you remove the cover and smell the coils.
  18. Great Tim, its good to have a hauler. Just laugh when it rains or gets cold. I remember a cpl years ago you and yer wife goin in mine to check it out.Glad ya finally got her one. We are gonna be up the hill camped somewhere near where all the HQ guys camped in oct. That was the weekend I cartwheeled my bike a few times. Lol
  19. Well then he will probably want to keep the dyna then since there is absolutely no way the dyna could be in any way related to these burned up motors, it is however a constant here with all three. It would be too easy to just stick on a $75 used CDI and use it.
  20. I'd go all stock CDI.Stator etc before I'd put it back together with that dyna on it. Theres bikes with all stock ignition components making big power.
  21. Any pics of the piston crown, underside of the piston or is there any pitting at all on the piston or dome? Any damage or funny coloring on the plug? I would have thought your jetting was in a fairly safe range. I'm with Andy and the stock ignition.
  22. Just like Builder said. A quick way to check float height is to hold the carb upside down with the bowl off and set or bend the float tab where it sits even or parrallel with the bottom of the carb body where the bowl would rest on it. The float should NOT rest anywhere on the inside of the carb. It should rest on the pin and the needle only. Hope this helps.
  23. I'm surprised the toomey clutch didnt hold with stiff springs. Shows the servl is a badass setup. lol I think the FAST clutch or the one Andy at M/M sells should hold up to a serval no problem but I really like the Gigot Slingshot it will make even a cheap clutch hold up to a lotta HP and I dont think you'll notice any difference from the weight. Its a pretty light billet plate, stainless plate and on a normal (under 100 hp) motor you can run single balls in it. They make a clutch last a very long time.
  24. I would say power pros or possibly the CTs as others have said or old jemco pipes. If you can get them cheap I wouldn't hesitate to run them on a dune/trail bike. They would probably be comparable to fattys or an old school mid-top type.
