  1. My banshees a 2000 sadly, id love a pair of high revs. And im hoping to do a dune port as soon as i can afford it and have the time to tear it down, im kinda leaning towards t5s. But when i do get the time to have it ported is 20 more hp with shearers or cpis realistic? Im not trying to disagree or anything that just seems like a shit ton for just pipes and porting, ive heard porting does alot but dang.
  2. Hey guys, some buddies and I are heading down to little sahara in april for a couple days, Im currently running Procircuits and love the low end but i would like to find something with a little more uptop for the trip to the dunes. My buddy has a pair of FMF fattys on his shee and i can tell the diffrence in top end significantly. Wondering what everybodys opinions where on bang for the buck as far as top end pipes go? Id like to have a set of shearer or t5s or PT high revs if (i could find them) but for the $100-$150 diffrence are they really going to be that much better than if i went with a set of fattys on my shee? Ive got K&n pods now an hopefully adj timing plate by the time we go, stock bore, no porting or anything. Any input would be appreciated, thanks guys!
  3. Have you checked to see if the carbs are in sync? I had about the same problem with mine an that's what it turned out to be. See if both the carbs slides are landing at the same time an goin up at the same time when u hit the throttle. There's a couple good videos of how to do it on YouTube.
  4. its not letting me upload my pictures it says the file is to large
  5. trying to upload a couple pictures here.
  6. yea everybody keeps telling me to take it easy or ill just make it worse. got atleast two weeks off work so that will definetly help. Im hoping to get out tomorrow an get some pictures of the shee, I'll get them up here as soon as i can. Already got a new axle today off craigslist for $50. Now Ive just gota wait till im healthy enough to tear it apart an see what else i desroyed. haha owell could have been worse like Wheat said atleast i dint break my neck. An i did get her fired up an idled into the garage when we got it home, idleing a little high think throttle cable might be kinked but i was just happy it still runs an rolls more or less.
  7. My buddie and i were out cruzing backroads today when he got a ways infront of me i took off to catch up you know i couldnt let a raptor be ahead of be. I was about 4 or five quadlengths behind him when he locked up the brakes. I was at the top of fifth, needless to say i didnt stop in time. tried to turn to the right and almost made it when my left rear tire went up over his right rear sending the shee and i tumbling into the ditch end over end. i hit the ground and my helmet flew off an i bounced then landed on my back about six feet away from the banshee. the shee tumbeld end overendi was told an ended up with broken headlights caved in bumper and bent the right half of the rear axle at about a 45 degreeangle right at the hub. i suffered abroken collar bone an sat in the E.R for two hours.it was a bad day of riding!
  8. If your running stockers anything is going to be leaps and bounds better than they are. I personally run pro circuits and im real happy with them. I ride just about everything dunes, trails and down in the mucky crap in the river.
  9. both carbs were spotless got it back together an re synched the carbs and now it switched to the other side so i dont have the carbs perfect in synch. atleast i know what it is now just a little fine tunning. thanks for all your help guys
  10. Should i just clean the carbs up or rebuild them while ive got them apart?
  11. Ok i finally made it out to the shop to change plugs and switched the plug wires around and it runs better overall but right cylinder still missfiring and dead if i hold it at a certain rpm for a period of time. then once i let off or get on it a little more it comes right back. I made sure the carbs were in sync when the problem first arose. an the old plugs both looked the same. From what ive been reading in diffrent forums i shud start looking for intake leaks now. Any other help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.
  12. Hey guys im new the bansheehq and had my banshee for a couple months and ive been slowly noticing more and more that the right side cylinder is only firing once and awhile and less and less often. The guy i bought the quad from didnt know anything about the internals of the motor, it has k&n still in airbox an pro circuit platnum pipes and 304 silencers, when i got it seemed to me it was always running a little rich, no choke needed to start cold and would die after its warmed up. i took the lid off the air box and it idled better but the last 1/8 of throttle it would completly fall on its face no stumbling just pumping air. put the lid back on now raps all the way out but ive been noticing the right cylinder firing less and less. at about half throttle if i put my hand behind the pipes i can feel the right side is firing about half as much as the left. wondering where to start, i pulled the plugs both look a little rich but look the same none the less. kinda weary about tearing the carbs down just yet.
