  1. Small bore shearers or CPIs. I had a pretty stout 421 cub with BB shearers but it takes a few things you wont have or want to do with a serval to work. A gas serval works very well with CPIs and Shearer SBs. Just swap for what you need.
  2. I have a whole spare drag 4 mil motor that is all new I may want to sell soon for 1,900 has everything duneable override and all perfect shape.
  3. Well crap. John is still fulla crap tho. Lol. A 421 uses a cheetah head too then im sure. I would love to have a lil cheetah someday for a flat track bike.
  4. I'm still right about the head. Lol. A 392cc cheetah is a powervalved 68mm bore 54mm stroke , a 421 cheetah is a 68mm bore/58mm stroke. Those are the two cheetahs that can use a standard head. The 4mil cheetah as we all usually understand it 73mm bore is actually 485ccs and that motor on up has to use a cheetah head. He said 421cheetah and they do make them.
  5. No problem. HQ has a ton of great help. I did a writeup on the difference and how to adjust the springs on a duneable override on atvdragracers a couple months ago and it has pictures showing if you turn a normal override backwards or dont have the springs right on a duneable it will only turn about 3 revolutions before the dogs will hit. They turn easier when they are in the bike with oil. Here is that override thread. http://forums.atvdragracers.com/topic/12383-duneable-override-spring-balance-and-adjustment/
  6. You can use a standard banshee head on a 68mm 421 cheetah. I too steer clear of trinity at all costs . If you get even just a standard out of the box cub it should be reliable and very fast.
  7. Sounds like you are turning the trans backwards. It will bind and try to go in two gears at once which would be normal. Make sure you are turning it forwards and check back with us.
  8. Too much lead huh? I saw pics of it and I thought it was just sand. It was awesome looking. I think St Joe has lead as well but is under limits and deemed safe enough or something.
  9. Change the title of your threas if you can to include " missouri". There used to be a place called planetX but I think they got shut down as it was just public or private land people had been riding on for years.
  10. Im with Cam. You probably want .050 thous give or take a few thousandths up to even .055. Bolt the cyl down and put a couple dabs of grease on the crown of the piston on each transfer side of the piston and put about a 3/4" long piece of solder on the grease and install head, then turn over motor to mash the end of the solder and remove the head to get the pieces out. It should be the flattest or tightest squish out at the edge of the bore and probably be a couple thousandths thicker at the inner edge of the squish band. Maybe like .048 at the edge of the bore and .050 at the farthest from the cyl wall. You should have a piece of solder that is mashed for about 11-13mms. If its smaller than about .042 you may need a different dome or thicker base gasket. If its between .43 and .055 you are in the ballpark.
  11. You should be fine but do not sharpen dividers on the intake. A sharp edge has more of a tendency to crack later and sharpening it will not make it any faster. Not being a smart butt at all but it would be nice to see guys not wanting sharp bridges thinking it will be faster.
  12. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=155537 Unfortuneately Vitos 10 mil cranks were known as not very good cranks and they eventually quit selling them.
  13. RadarRacing

    big tires

    Whut?
  14. "Big Boar" "I told the guy to BOAR the head out as big as it would go.". "So he BOARED it out to 450ccs" See em like that too.
  15. Just like they said. I then use a razor blade and tap on it gently with a hammer between the cases. I try to only do spots where a slight scratch will not cause any sort of air or trans fluid leak. Make 100% sure you have all the bolts out and it will be stuck together pretty good but the sharp edge of a razor blade tapped between the cases at the rear of the engine usually gets it started for me.
  16. I see 110 hp banshees with pro circuits on craigslist all the time. I hear about 140 hp 10 mil cubs on here pretty frequently.
  17. Stock is hard to beat on trails and sand. If you find you are kinda in the wrong gear at the speed you trail ride like 2nd is too high and 1st is too low then adjust gearing. Or you might want a lower 1st so go down. Sometimes 2nd is too low and 3 rd is too high. Adjust from there but otherwise stock is close to right.
  18. 10 mil cub too much for street and pavement????? Uh NO. The difference in a 4 mil cub or a 7 or a 10 mil cub is only about 5-10 horsepower. If your cases are trenched for a 10 then stick a 10 mil on it. Now the average 10 mil cub is a good step up from most Trex motors although the good Trex's can be good runners.
  19. 4 mil welded hotrods , drops right in and more reliable than stock. jmo
  20. " then why do we have a car and truck section which is where this is posted. IMO if you cant answer the question then move the fuck on, if you dont want to be called a DOUCHE then dont act like one, simple as that." Its for the discussion of car and truck things. Kinda would think people might know that and not act like an ass. Banahee911 has had fast bikes for years and is asking about cars. A early 90s twin turbo 300zx is a very capable car in handling and speed and since most werent street racing back then as I was they wouldnt know they could run low 14s , high 13s bone stock. There are plenty of them that are honest 12 second street cars.
  21. Vitos 10mil equals fall apart crank. Call any good site sponsor of your choice and get a hotrods crank or call No Limit and get one of Andys good 10 mil cranks that may cost a lil less than his hotrods.
  22. 5 teeth on the rear is a huge jump lower. Usually 2 teeth on rear is like 1 tooth on the front. 5 is much lower gearing.
  23. Ernesto the stock needles are fine with your mods. It looks like the vitos needles are a bit thinner at the low throttle taper which would make it very rich. I would use the stock needles. There is no reason the vitos needles need to be that long.
  24. Bkm, if you need ot fast then No Limit Powersports usually has em in whatever configuration you want, as does HJR it sounds. Andy at No Limit should be able to have one to KC in 2 days. I was sorry to see you had left thunder valley the other day before I really got to BS with ya much.
  25. Me too. Is that die grinder trenched?
