  1. To set slides I always turn carbs upside down and set the float level to the bottom of the carb body. Always worked for me. I never measure slides.
  2. Stock is about right to start. 70hp bikes with 9paddles , 100hp bikes with 12s often times are right about 14/41 or same ratio with a 15 front is 15/44. Duners sometimes run a little higher and some hill guys go higher or lower depending on speed at the top of the hill.
  3. If it bogs in 1st gear its pretty far off.
  4. Yes , jetting can cause that. Pilot, needle , mainjet can cause that.
  5. Yeah , myself and a coupke others woulda liked to have good ones for lecrons too. Oh well. Since I think you used to sell them and dont anymore I guess there wasnt enough market for them.
  6. There has been a drought on 12 thru 14 paddles for a while it seems like.
  7. I will ad this. The rods that the floats slide up and down on can be bent slightly so the floats press on the farthest end of the arm which will put the most pressure on the needle into the seat. You have to be careful as not to break the rod of course and you dont want the arm bent into a curve shape where the slide will have a harder time sliding. . Its best to put a small deepwell socket on it and bent it close to where it goes into the carb body just enough so the floats nub presses on the end of the arm/fork that pushes on the float needle. They really can be a pain in the butt to get not to leak. Maybe the viton floats is the ticket. Those pumps move a lot of fuel.
  8. Like Cam said, your cable is probably to short. He actually helped me a couple years ago use a tubing cutter to cut 1/4" or so off the steel elbow that makes the turn for the cable to go into the carb top. My lectron cable broke and I had to buy a normal cable at the dune shop and make it work. I have had a hard time getting my black pump and 3.3 seats to not overflow but once they are right they work perfect. Okbeast yours is that way because you have your needles set pretty rich probably.
  9. Big bore pipes cant possibly be good on an under 480cc motor. They are too big , stingers too big , wont hold heat correctly , wont rev......and all that.
  10. Dam you are grumpy in your old age Loco. I just said stockish type shocks can bottom out too. Thats all. Yes Dunerider Lotuseater has the red drag raptor thats a fast sob and has the drilled subframe.
  11. Thats why some people dune race and some stick to the track.
  12. This is high. Kanes bike sits just as high as mine. If you slam a stock suspension down that hard from 6 feet off the ground it will bottom out. Quit changing the subject. You guys thay race , jump 40 foot jumps and hillclimb arent scared of coming 3 feet off the ground. I love dragracing across an MX track , at snakehunt we even had whoops across the first 100 feet and came out of the hole uphill a foot in the first 40'. It was fine for the suspended bikes and made for good races.
  13. Okbeast was that you on the neon orange frame? That bike was running good.
  14. I had a brand new helmet when I crashed mine and my head hit the sand about 5 times hard as hell , I was glad I had it on for sure. The chassis and shaws I have now and the way i have them setup now is like a cadillac on the whoops. There is no reason shaws cant absorb bumps well enough for how we ride em. Hope to see you guys in sept and hope we have good weather and smooth sand for you guys.
  15. It takes a certain kind of guy to ride with a wheelie bar on the dunes. They are usually streetbike motors but not always. Theres one about every big weekend.
  16. Dont hate the guys who ride the rough stuff. Lol. I was the first HQ ride cartwheel champion. Loco can back me up there were 4 wrecks that day and one bent frame on a bike that didnt even wreck , the whoop jumping just bent the frame. Crazykane is a ridin mother effer. Lol.
  17. Jayhawk , i liked that purple chrome look too that was cool. The mohawk was Rocky. Hisride is the chassis with a crazy clown or something on the side and a kinda sexy scary clown chick with hooters on the front. I spotted at least one bike with wampus cylinders that looked like stocker cyls. You guys need to say hi or something if you know who we are. Im there to have fun ,not be a prick like many people can be.
  18. Hey I was there too. Lol. Too bad us 3 or 4 had to race each other. Sat was a little better but that was a small turnout for snakehunt. HQ ride will get us a full house. Lotus, Crazykane you guys are kickass dudes.
  19. Theres good running bikes at snakehunt for sure as well as the HQ ride. Theres more morons at snakehunt for sure , and at snakehunt every year I see pretty trailer queen bikes sittin in camp that never even go out one time. Seen one for probably 5 years.
  20. If you guys have anyone that needs a spot I should have one spot open up on the same hill the Hq guys stay on. Its the south one that backs up to the dunes.
  21. That was an old cell he had. He doesnt even have a cell number anymore. Just house phone , I will call his freakin ass and tell him to respond on here. Lol.
  22. Precision Powersports , Wildcard , FAST , No Limit Powersports will all probably have them in stock. If you dont get the bottom leaned out it wont launch like you'd want. They will bog off the bottom.
  23. Honestly ditch those ysn carbs asap and put stockers or something else on it. YSN carbs are a very poor chinese knockoff of pwks. I am not bashing them cuz they are chinese and not knocking you or your bike at all. Just trying to help you. Those were carbs used on some stock 90cc quads and we never had anything but leaks or problems with them.
  24. Many of the airstrykers have needles in them that are far off from whats needed. I used CEL needles in mine leaned out one notch from the middle, 45/48 pilots and jetting in the 148-155 range. Had them on two different motors. I think a 50 would be a little bit rich on the bottom cuz thats where the airstrykers are designed to be a little bit more efficient at sucking fuel with those little angled wings. I would start with a 45 pilot.
  25. I have raced with this chassis when it had a 397cc cub in it in oklahoma and it ran in the high 3.70s or 3.80s if I remember right. It was ridiculous. Ray is a good seller too I have bought and sold, traded tons of stuff with him for about 5 years.
