  2. Dear Walter, I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbor girl is 22. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counseling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore. Can you please help? Sincerely, Sheila ****************************** Dear Sheila: A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the carburetor float chamber. I hope this helps! Walter
  3. What else can you break? Do you want to sell them? Send me a price.

  5. I have a brand new set of slicks, they are Carlisle 18x9.5x8 if your interested.
  6. YFZ tie rods will be to short if you do the complete 450 swap. I had Speedy make me some tie rods and they turned out great. They are cheap too!

  9. Make sure the slides are opening at the same time. Press the throttle and watch the carb slides. They should move at the same time. If they do not, first make sure the caps are screwed on tightly. Next adjust the carb tops where the cable enters. Also make sure that your choke tube is connected between the carbs. Ensure that you put the slides back in the correct way. When looking into the rear of the carb, check to make sure the at the bottom of the slide is cut away like a half moon.
  10. There is one in the for sale section for $60.
  11. He cut a record deal and is now on to bigger and better things. I hope he doesn't forget the HQ.
  12. Nice job cruiser! Report back with ride qualities!
  13. You might check into shipping costs before you get to crazy with this idea.
  14. Get a good used stock stroke for a hundred bucks and run her this year. Then send out a new set of cylinders for porting and get a crank over the summer/fall.
  15. Thats a bike to be proud of right there!
  16. I bought a set off of the ltr450hq site. I'm currently running the complete 450 swap including the brakes with a set of 16.25" tripple rate Elkas. The ride is great, but it sits about an inch low in the front. I'm going to give the ltr shocks a try and see how they compare.
  17. Thanks! I will let you know how they turn out...
  18. I got one to. I wonder if this has anything to do with the guy Loco banned!
  19. Flat black and od green will look pretty dam cool!
  20. You can use stock carbs and t5s, but if you want it to run like it should, you need to upgrade. I think what Trinity is telling you is that you can add a 4mil crank later and run a spacer plate. To be safe, you need to measure the cylinders first. Someone on here will be able to tell you how.
  21. Stock carbs are 26mm, and they will not be ideal for a cub. Weather or not your cylinders are made for a 4mil crank is pretty dam important. You cant run one or the other, they have to match. You also need big bore domes or your head rechambered. Your also going to need a good set of pipes.
  22. Winner winner chicken DINNER! hahah, sick banner man!
  23. How much are you asking for the cylinders and pistons?
  24. Lube the cylinder walls and pistons with your premix before you put them together. Also put a towel down around your crank to prevent the circlips from falling down there in case you drop one while installing it. Once assembled, do a couple of heat cycles and retorque the head and cylinder bolts. Run her easy for a half tank or so and do a plug check. If the jetting is good, let her rip!
  25. I think this poll was well played. Let his peers judge him!
