hey guys im after a paddle for my 4 mill rz banshee. i plan on going to the dunes this year sometime so i dont want to buy a set of paddles for a trip i may not do again for a couple of years, but at home i can get to the beach via a gravel road and alot of what i ride on is soft and loamy. i was looking at those half paddles that scat trak sell or prowedges. would these be worth while, what size and how many paddles would suit my bike? or am i better off sticking with knobblies. what do people reccomend for tyres normal tyres for the sand? i dont like running anything heavy, so not 6ply etc. cheers Toby

how can i clean the top of the piston?
doorslammer replied to ELKARACING_SHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
why did you remove the head in the first place? and what type of oil do you use? and dont clean them in the cylinders, i've never heard of such a stupid idea. remove the pistons and use a wirewheel/wire brush. -
im after some boots for the airbox and 28 pwk's, mine have split anyone know where to get them?

doorslammer replied to amstall's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
do you say this from experience? WSM make some damn good pistons, comparable to Pro-X -

http://www.modquad.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1281&osCsid=f104180a282b7c87c9224784ef25df7e thats about as good as it gets, you can get one for the stator side as well
-
low compression yes yea? didnt touch? shake your willie while looking? what colour powerbands? answered your own first question, get the barrel to a machine shop to see if they are within their limits, if so get them honed and get a new set of rings yea when you drain the coolant the radiator will become empty

use loctite 567 or that permatex stuff http://img-asia.electrocomponents.com/images/R330394-91.jpg http://www.henkelna.com/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_us/hs.xsl/product-search-1554.htm?iname=Loctite%C2%AE+567%E2%84%A2+PST%C2%AE+Thread+Sealant&countryCode=us&BU=industrial&parentredDotUID=productfinder&redDotUID=0000000JBE put some on the threads, and wind them in with your fingers, dont torque them to anything, just so long as all the threads are in, then put the head on and torque the headnuts. OEM torque for the headnuts is like 22ft/lb's, not sure if its the same for the t-rex set-ups. -
hey buddy where abouts are you, im in wickham and have a flywheel puller you can borrow. no lights or anything sounds like the stator has crapped itself.

any RZ guys running FMF, DMC, pro circuit or toomey ?
doorslammer replied to doorslammer's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
thanks guys i have PT mids on there but was looking for more top end and got a set of dmc's, but after looking i found that most of the interference is at the adjuster for the cables, and because i got some cables made longer they also used a different adjuster which was longer and therefor made it pratically impossible to fit with out IMO too much work. so i've sold the DMC's and am now looking for some PT high revs... -
hey all after some PT highs in good condition, chromed and willing to ship to australia. let me know what you have

what shocks were you running on the +2 banshee arms and what are you running on the yfz ones now?
-
hey guys i've been running the YFZ front end for a while now but was curious to know if anyone had gone over the geometry of the set-up. the reason im asking is because im ready to drop some coin on a set of shock but if a set of +2+1 or +3+1 standard travel banshee arms will give me a better smoother more consitant ride i would get a set of banshee arms and shocks rather then keep the 450 arms. so like i said, has anyone checked out the geometry and compaired it to a standard or long travel set of banshee arms? or has anyone switched from 450 arms back to + banshee arms and what do you think about them. cheers

jump in line if he replys...

the line comming from the top of the radiator under the radiator cap goes to the bottom of the overflow. The rear gearbox vent goes to the T connector. Out of the T connection one line goes to right side under the waterpump cover, while the other pipe from the T goes along the frame by the right exhaust chamber and hangs to the ground. The pipe from the top of the overflow bottle follows the other pipe down past the right exhaust chamber and to the ground as well. both of them are vents to relieve pressure
