  1. as long as the deck is flat i wouldnt worry about it. if it pushes up thereor something then file it maybe. i might be way off track here though.... sounds very minor now that i read your post again.
  2. there may be anothe way, with the head still off, but i would put it on and check squish and do a compression test. for reference, my squish is about .035 with the head milled .020
  3. it sure could. unplug it and try again
  4. looks lean to me. plugged main jet is my guess
  5. ive read/heard that taking off .020 is the equivalent of 21 cc domes in a cool head, except you wont get the added colling, or a nice shiny peice. if youre not overheating, then you have to decide if a shiny head is worth an extra 200 bucks. i did my top end at the same time, and it wasnt in that bad of shape before the rebuild, but i noticed a fairly big increase when i got it back together, mostly bottom end. it should help to pull the taller gearing easier. i like my 15 tooth. it makes super slow trails a bit tougher, but i like not having to shift as often. its a little too wide for mx though. with 20s it wasnt bad though now with my 22s i have to let it rev out in 5th before i shift if i want it to pull it in 6th, but you get used to it and after a while dont notice anymore. shaved head is a good cheap mod, and depending on how/where you ride the 15t tooth could be good too, because it sounds like you like your top speed lol
  6. do it. i would take off .020 you might need to back off your timeing a bit, that or run some race gas.
  7. you probably need to take it apart and clean it out, new little spring and ball,a dn then if it stille rattles, go to a machineshop and get a cone shaped spring to go on top of the kicker post to keep tension on it. thats what i did and no rattle whatsoever for a few months now
  8. drag pipes, and maybe a lockout.
  9. you dont NEED an o ring, but if youre gonna be in mud and water and all that crap i would recommend it. will make it last much longer if all that crap isnt grinding around in it.
  10. when my head gasket blew, it was the next ride after it got real hot, which i bet happened when you were riding slow for an extended period of time. mine only blew steam out one pipe, and it would lose a liter of coolant in like 5 to 10 minutes, so yea it will be quite noticable, but maybe not until it warms up. it would be best to monitor the level in the rad. it would be white smoke/ steam it is the head gasket or o rings(s) if you have a cool head. i could hardly see behind me the steam was so thick if that helps describe your problem.
  11. if you have enough power to rev it out that far in 6th, then sure. i know when im topped out in 6th and i tuck down i gain easy 5 mph...
  12. i have 15:41 with 22 inch tires. mods in sig. i had a 13 tooth on the front and 20s before, and it felt quicker, but just because it spun more and you had to shift more often, if you know what i mean. i like it more now, less shifting. its not so great for the motocross track though, because you have to rev it more before you can shift. it is basically like moving the gears up one, like first became like 2nd used to be, and so on. now i have to really let it rev in 5th before i shift or it will fall off. i wouldnt want any taller without more power. you weigh the same as me, and it sounds like your riding is similar too. if you do lots of tight trails(first gear) then i would leave it alone. Otherwise i would do a 15 on the front and stock on the rear. i wouldnt bother with a shorter swingarm. i assume there are at least a few hillclimbs where you ride, and it doesnt sound like you are that dedicated to mx.
  13. not a clue, but its not hard to shave a head. pretty much anyone witha machine shop can do it so that might have ben close to where he lived or something and just got him to do it. or maybe they do 2 stroked and its chambered and all that, someone on here should know.
  14. i wouldnt get a 660. they arent that impressive. the 700s seems to be much better though. i think a 700 would be my choice of 4 stroke. a ktm would be sweet too except it doesnt sound like you are looking for brand new so no used ktms for a while
  15. i was about to say you forgot the eyes, but then i saw this post ^^^^ lol its horrible i bet its rockin the boost bottle too
  16. about 70 mph would be my guess
  17. im wondering why the heck you would expend the effort to load up your bike and take it down there when you knew it was the plugs. plugs are like 2-5 bucks a peice, depending where your at, so worst case scenario 10 bucks. should have just done it yourself. whatever though, i would pay them for an hour and be done with it.
  18. right on. its still a good time even if you dont win. congrats on the holeshot
  19. you dont need to disassemble the engine to change that seal. take off the stator cover and shifter, and pry it out of there. i would drain the oil first to save making a big mess. put the new seal in, put thifter and stator cover back on and youre good to go.
  20. HIDs would be sweet, but i dont feel like doing a dc conversion. some fresh white looking lights would be sweet though, and if they are a bit brighter then bonus. that blue tint would probably be like the "asshole lights" that people put in their cars
  21. 4x4ing, camping, beer, partyin, shooting, video games, tubing the river, snowboarding/skiing, burnouts
  22. haha good luck. have fun. banshees throw a nice roost, so use that to your advantage. roll a jump with someone right behind you and drop the clutch 2 gears higher than you should be, feeding them a bunch of rocks in the process.
  23. i made one similar to what i think youre talking about.....
  24. i looked on their site, and it seems fine to me. if it was free i wouldnt think twice about running it.
  25. i just mean to shorten the silencer can. i have seen a couple people on here with it done but i figured it would be easier and get more of a response than sending pms to a couple people.
