  1. was that an rz 500 in a banshee frame? i would like to see that. not being a smartass either, i would actually like to see  edit: wait i remember the one now. it was badass
  2. well, you made it almost 15 minutes longer than my yz 125 did lol my connecting rod seized to the crankshaft and was blue halfway up. the jetting was good and all, just didnt like givin er for too long. my cylinder and piston were perfect still. i think you are ez=xpecting too much for it to not blow after 20 minutes at WOT, unless i misunderstood you and it wasnt full throttle...
  3. do it yourself?
  4. i don know about the first question, but if your jetting is wherre it should be now, then you will have to rejet
  5. you packed it in the can? youre supposed to wrap the core and then put the core part through.
  6. i never use the choke in the summer except on cool evenings... maybe youre flooding it
  7. whoa tough guy lol (edit : the thread starter) you need to pull the flywheel to adjust the timing. just loosen the three 10 mm bolts holding the plate to the case, and rotate the plate. tighten down and voila
  8. not to mention wear out your chain slider in no time at all. just advance the timing or increase compression to get your bottom end out of it. my .02
  9. look at that dirty bike... tisk tisk jk
  10. use a valve stem. just put it in upside down, like with the part you put air in pointing inside the tire.
  11. so those tires arent just a crappy knock off? ive been tempted more than once to give them a try. for 75 bucks a peice they arent much less than my knarlys were though
  12. i hear i razrs wear super fast, and they dont have big knobbies to start with. they look badass though
  13. thats just it. most of my riding is fast wide open trails or logging roads. it doesnt really bother me in the tight stuff though. only one rough tight trail its too fast for, but it was like that before too. now i just use first instead of second in the tight stuff
  14. i would get a 15 tooth for the front. they are pretty cheap so give it a try im running 15/41 with 22's andc i like it. much less shifting. probably what will happen is instead of never using first, youll not use 6th very often unless your on gas saving mode or just haulin ass.
  15. that would be a better way to do it IMO
  16. and the addiction begins
  17. i did a new seal while i was in there. that way i know i wont have to dig back in there soon for 5 bucks worth of parts it made a huge difference in cooling. i think the stock one was taking a shit tho. i dont know how much better it would be than a good stocker. good peice of mind tho if nothing else
  18. sweet. whats your name? do they ride too?
  19. not to thread jack, but anyone out here in BC?
  20. now with 22s and a 15 tooth i only leave in first on the road. on dirt its a toss up between first and second. i dont drag enough to get a routine so its whatever im feeling that particular day
  21. its reading double the actual rpm because banshees fire both plugs twice every revolution.
  22. ok sweet. i'll have to try something like that.
  23. looks good man. how did you stick the leds behind the grill? my grill is the same as that except with the 2 skulls, and my dads been telling me i should do something similar to what youve done there. did you epoxy them to the rad or something?
  24. i broke in this top end with the heat cycle method. since then i have read most of that guys stuff, and next time i think ill be doing it like that. now that i think about it, the last top end i did in my dirtbike, before i blew the bottom end, fixed and sold, i rode it pretty hard. the break in was a fast long logging road ride, and that thing ripped after...
  25. i always carry spares, but usually dont have to change them, just whenever i decide to, and the old ones become my new spares. my last set went for over a year, plus however long the guy before me used them for. sounds like youre running too rich on the oil mix if its all gunked up.
