  2. what he said^^^^^^^^
  3. tm designworks doesnt ship to canada  are there othe companies who make a similar product that would ship up here? or someone else who carries their parts or something.... i want a plastic one, because my friends chain came off and bent the case saver and the case broke anyways.
  4. i raced motocross for like 6 years, started on an old rm 80 then a newer yz, thena yz 125, and never intended on getting a quad. i thought quads were for pussys. i had rode a few stock shees, and raced one with t6's and my 125 beat it, so i wasnt too impressed. i was in the market for a new dirtbike(450 or 250 two stroke), but my mom watched me crash bigtime (cased the biggest double and then went over the bars) practicing for a race and put an end to my racing days. around the same time i rode another friends piped shee while out camping, and i really liked having lights, and going fast. about a month later i bought one, had no truck at the time so rode it home on the road lol and here i am
  5. haha good call climbanyhill. my friend crashed his and broke part of a fender, looks trashy, but wont race cut them till he has pipes. i like how one headlight is pointing up in the trees on that thing too, and the grill falling off
  6. i love that bumper. where did you find it, and how much was it? the tag one is nice too. i like the 3 bar ones too. theres a company on ebay that always lists the 3 bar ones, but lately they have been charging 140 for them. back when i had no money they were 80 lol.
  7. it was hahm motorsports or powersports or something along those lines. right by disneyland. it was an rm 125 too and they were making room for the 07s. still a smokin deal i thought though. he said an 07 i think yfz for 7k out the door. thats when the 07s had only been out for a few months. thats why im thinking of doing this. im planning on an oregon trip this summer, so i was thinking to pick something up if i have money then, not necessartily a banshee either. maybe a 450 dirtbike. that is if its feasible. it would be me bringing it across the border on a trailer incase you thought i was planning on getting it shipped, along with mine and a couple other shees on a trailer. could i just say i had it on the way down, because we dont register them up here there would be no papers anyway, or would they run the vin and all that? i see gorgeous banshees south of the border go for less than i paid for mine looking all ratty and just pipes....
  8. i agree with MJ. cheap bars are the way to go for a quad. as long as you dont ride mx. that way they bend before a stem will. on the dirtbike was a different story though, because they would bend every time you drop the bike. i had cheap bars bend without even crashing on e the dirtbike, and one broke on the face of a big jump. those v bars are cool though, how much were they? did you get them from cascade?
  9. as the topic says, how much would customs and such be if i were to buy a bike(who knows what) in the states, and bring it back to canada? i know bikes go for way cheaper down there, so it might be worth buying 1 or 2 while down there, and bring em back, sell 1 and basically pay for the other. when i was in L.A. we went to a dealership by our hotel, and i could have had a 06 (last years model at the time) out the door for 3000. up here they go for at least 6k. is this a good idea, or would it end up costing the same by the time its across the border? also theres no registration or anything to worry about up here if that makes a difference. not necessarily brand new either...whatevers a good deal
  10. same here. i dont know where youre from, but it seems like anywhere in canada. probably becuase they are more expensive new up here. i hsould pick up a couple bike this summer in oregon and sell em up here
  11. that thing is bad ass. if i could afford a new bike i think that would be it. possibly a 700, but i bet the 525 is faster anyways, and lately KTMs stuff has been top notch.
  12. i would have said do it for sure, but after reading this thread im not so sure. cant go wrong witha banshee though.
  13. i got the peice weldfed back in there the first time.... second time, well i havent done anything yet
  14. i got in trouble for being on here back in high school. at work i can get on whatever i want, but i dont really. just work stuff, and sometimes youtube while im eating lunch.
  15. i would pass on that one.
  16. what do you mean a bra? like those black things people put on their cars? or did that one fly right over my head :ermm: i would rock some streamers though, that would be ballin
  17. ive heard that up here in bc, you can get a utility permit or something along those lines, so its registered as a hunting vehicle. i dont know, but from what i heard its only for side roads in the country or something, where you can just as easily keep going to your trail of choice.
  18. this is an idea from another thread...i think raptor plastics or something, so here goes. my list from the top of my head is boost bottle, raptor front plastics(the rears are alright), and im not a fan of the shark bumpers, and those bug headlights. lets hear your opinions on what should never be done to a banshee.
  19. i was just saying so that you dont come on here with your shit blown up from nothing but ether going through it
  20. you may have too much compression for pump gas. what domes do you have? sorry if youve already answered and i forgot lol. that could explain the hole in the piston before too. i would go back to a stock flywheel key and maybe decrease the compression a little. then if you want to advance the timing, use a stator plate.
  21. good to see you found the problem. doesnt look too bad. only a couple gears from what i can see. that piston looks like its from running it cold too. when theres snow around here, it takes at least 5 minutes of idleing before mine gets warm enough for me to feel comfortable riding at all, and until the head feels almost hot before i hammer on it. thats just me, and i dont have a temp guage, so my hand becomes my guage, so its not exactly a science, but ive been teaching my frieds not to run these things cold.
  22. first off, i wouldnt make a habit of running it on ether, because theres no lubrication getting to your engine that way. :ermm: i dont know about the no gas issue though
  23. i would think the crank bearings might be full of sand too :ermm:
  24. i use a razor blade, as said. just hold it as close to parallel as you can to the pipe, abd it shouldnt even scratch it.
  25. i like it. i thought about making one similar to thatbefore i bought one. custom stuff like that is cool because nobody else has it.
