  1. What is the bar clamp for, 7/8 or 1-1/8 bars?
  2. So you're saying you've got an .080 over stock bore-based engine with a 4 mil stroker crank and 115mm rods? If you're bored only .080 I'd think these would work but if you've got a 4 mil stroker AND a 4 mil big bore then yes you've gotta use big bore domes. Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
  3. I have for sale a pair of brand new-ish 18cc cool head domes for stock bore/stroke. I only say brand new-ish because they look new but I didn't purchase them new in the original packaging. I bought them as new on here but never used them. My 'shee runs plenty good for me with the 22cc domes currently so I'm gonna just ride it and enjoy it the way it is. $35 shipped to US Also for sale is a pair of Cascade exhaust clamps. I only had these on my Banshee for a couple of days when I realized they weren't gonna work as planned with the fuel lines from my dual Pingel and to be honest they're a bit too flashy for me anyhow. They are in near-new condition, nothing wrong with them at all, just not my taste. $35 shipped to US If you have any questions at all feel free to PM me and I'll reply ASAP. Chris
  4. I've got 1-1/8" Pro Taper Contours right now with just your regular billet adapter/risers. What I wanna do is keep the bottom half of my risers and find a top half that will bolt right up to the bottom part that also has a key hole for the switch, nothing too fancy. The bolt spread on my risers is approximately 90mm center-to-center across and 41.5mm center-to-center vertically. Right now I have my switch zip tied to my front brake line and it looks extremely tacky but I have no choice at the moment. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist here or what?
  5. I just like to keep the original look personally. I have a set of racecut fronts and full rears and thought they looked good also but I mainly prefer full fenders front and rear. Just my opinion, and I know it's been said over and over since the thread started, but if people are worried about getting dirty then buy a big utility. Banshees are meant to be ridden like a banshee.
  6. Thanks for the link, I see that now. I guess I should've checked the website instead of just doing the goofy eBay shopping. Oh well, I'm proud of my skids as they are. We went over some incredibly rough terrain today and there's no replacement for the peace of mind of having good skids under you while going over big boulders and jagged rocks. That's one less major thing to worry about.
  7. Just tear it down and give it a good check-out while you're doing the top side. It won't be that much more work and you will be glad you did in the long run. There's nothing like trashing a brand new top end because something was wrong down below that you either ignored or didn't see. Don't be that guy lol.
  8. Carb cleaner for simple, quick cleaning. Mineral spirits for slow breakdown of the tough stuff. I never use brake cleaner, that stuff will wreak havoc on your body really quick and you won't even know it. Even the mineral spirits will get you high in no time, don't ask how I know...
  9. What you looking to get on the twist throttle?
  10. Just back after the maiden voyage, what a ride... Engine Ice works wonders!!!

  11. Just wanted to update my thread in case anyone else was interested in running a similar setup. Like I said before the hollow airbox sound just wasn't my taste and now it's nice and quite except for the sweet sound of those T5s. I tried the 240s with snorkel on and it performed similar to how it did before with the 280s. I pulled the snorkel and tried it again. This time the jetting was dead on. I decided to try the 230s with the snorkel and again it's dead on. I think I'm gonna leave it this way for a few rides as there are some pretty decent creek crossings where we're going in a few days and I need that extra protection from the water. I've got a good baseline now on open airbox, with lid, and lid with snorkel so thanks for the help everyone. I think I'm finally ready to dive out into the wilderness and see what this thing will do.
  12. Latest info I could find was from '08... I don't think anyone will be riding it unless you wanna fill up the flux capacitor in your Delorean and hit 88 mph for 2008. Maybe I missed something?
  13. Nice thread. Looks like you're making some really nice progress and I totally understand the budget thing. It took me a solid five years to build my 'shee and all it has is basic mods such as pipes, filter/adapter, and cool head as far as the engine goes. I put my money into the best skid plates I could find, +2+1 A-arms, and Holeshot HDs and T-9 Baja wheels. Mine is more of a woods-type rider. Congrats on coming so far with yours though!
  14. [email protected], make sure you PM your address or add it into the payment please...
  15. I just replied to a 5 month old thread. Just go ahead and shoot me please...
  16. If you don't get sucked in under the 'shee when the peg breaks off...
  17. Never seen this many tornadoes, WTF is going on with this weather!!!

  18. Stopped in and picked up some 230s and 240s today. Gonna start with the snorkel on and 240s to see what the plugs look like. Hope it isn't too lean that way.
  19. +1 on the little black TORS control box beside the ignition coil/wires and harness leading to thumb throttle. Me and Stacman450 found that one out the hard way.
  20. I just had to completely remove and weld some new pieces onto my frame in all 4 spots. I had 4 pieces made in the machine shop nearby out of 1" round stock, 1" long. I had them go ahead and tap them to 12x1.5. I did have to cut the front ones down on account of the tube running behind the front of the bolt hole but I don't remember the actual length. I tried to just patch mine up before I got into all of this by just drilling and tapping the holes bigger but on mine there was only about 3/8" deep threads in there and I wasn't comfortable with all of that weight being on just that much thread. Anyway to answer your initial question, 12x1.5 tap and a "Z" drill bit which is .413". You may be able to go a little less than that, those sizes are just what was the most readily available to me.
  21. I'm just guessing here but I'd say the G-Force is heavier because there's more material to make it stronger. Just my opinion though.
