  1. Ahh nice town, been there and Tybee several times. Anyway, it's kinda a catch-22 here. I'm not sure how Jeff is "normally" on turnaround time but he is closer to you. Kevin (Herr Jugs) is out on the West coast but his specialty is his turnaround time. I've heard several stories of people getting complete engines back in 3 weeks or less, and of course the example I gave above was a top end in 10 days from shipping out to delivery. On the mere quality of work, I can't really say exactly who would be the better outcome but I have seen and experienced Kevin's work and it is amazingly nice, consistent, and clean. I'd shop around a bit though, FAST and Herr Jugs aren't the only ones around. You have Passion, Wildcard, CP Customs, etc... Just go through the site sponsor list and pick your poison. I've heard some sketchy info on CP Customs before but don't know if it's true or not. I've seen some of their work too and rode a 421 with a set of ported jugs from them and it ran really hard. May wanna look into that one a little further before you go that route though. I'd hate to send my stuff to a dishonest builder. I really don't even know if they're still in business or not come to think of it.
  2. http://www.herrjugsracing.com/index.html Where are you located?
  3. So are you sending it to him to let him actually build it or just do the necessary work that you have listed? Personally I'd send my stuff to Herr Jugs. I've seen Kevin's work and it's top notch just as I'm sure Jeff's is except Kevin did my brother-in-law's top end in 10 days from the time he shipped it from his house to the time he got it back. Jeff took almost 3 months just to weld my crank... Just my opinion anyway.
  4. I just realized I put Photoshop instead of Photobucket lol. Glad you got them posted and yes I agree, may as well take it all out and give it a good going over from top to bottom. Do it right the first time and you won't have to do it again, for a while at least.
  5. Photoshop, got an account?
  6. Bump, $30 shipped in US for 18cc domes and make a decent offer on calipers.
  7. Ended up buying one from Cascade since 3 have been sold in the F/S section after I posted this thread. Sorry NYUK, I just didn't wanna pay for the whole throttle assembly when I only needed the lever and then end up getting stuck with it. It's a good deal for someone that needs the whole kit-n-kaboodle though for sure.
  8. I'd start with a compression test and a leakdown test if you think it has internal damage. Afterwards pull the head off and see what the pistons and cylinders look like. Honestly, we're gonna need alot more info to be able to properly diagnose it, if it's even possible without actually being there.
  9. Just back from Windrock here in TN. What a blast! The 'shee performed flawlessly too. I'm pumped!

Missed out on some killer trails dude. Gotta have skids and good tires though, it's very rocky.

  10. What all mods are you running? I'd say get rid of that 2-1 setup and put some good carbs on there. As long as the carb(s) is/are clean and synced, you have good spark and clean plugs, you have good fuel, and are getting ample air for it there's not one reason it shouldn't run. Oh, and this all provided you don't have an air leak somewhere. I know this is all pretty basic and obvious but it's really a simple system. Going to a 4-poke would be the last thing I'd do unless it were a big 700+ cc utility but that's just me.
  11. Fookin' coil wire came off and ended my ride...

  12. Eh hell, here's a freebie to make it an even 600 posts. I swear I'm not a postwhore.
  13. If I had a nice, shiny set of plastics there's no way in hell I'd cut them. I won't even cut the ones I've got now even though they've got their flaws. I'm all for the "Dumbo Ears" because I like the factory look. Ain't that right Stacman450...
  14. Finally ready to ride again.

  15. Do you have a K&N-style filter? If so, you didn't happen to clean and re-oil it when you swapped reeds did you? Over-oiling the filter will create these identical symptoms. Idles and revs great but when you take off and start to get into the powerband it falls off drastically like you're describing because it's sucking in filter oil that the engine can't burn. There's a fine line between not oiling enough and too much. Also being way fat on your jets will do that too but that's about the only two things I've experienced that led to those symptoms. Just a guess anyway...
  16. Twist throttle sold. Still have calipers and 18cc domes left. Domes $30 shipped or trade for billet extended throttle lever, make offers on calipers.
  17. I'm looking to buy a billet extended throttle lever if anyone has one they wanna fork out, preferably Cascade but let me know what you have.
  18. Both timing plates sold. Still available are calipers (make offer), twist throttle, and 18cc domes. Would entertain trades for a billet extended thumb throttle lever also, preferably Cascade but let me know what you have. TTT!
  19. Like the title says, I have a practically brand new set of 18cc Pro Design domes for stock bore and stroke that I'd like to trade for a nice looking billet extended thumb throttle lever. I don't need any show polished stuff and would actually prefer black anodized but let me know what you have. I think Pro Design and ModQuad have something like what I'm looking for to give you an idea. Chris
  20. Bought fuel lines and petcock on the 5th and already received them today. They look practically brand new. Awesome seller here. Thank you very much!!!
  21. Get 'em. You won't be disappointed. Only complaint I have out of them is the 4 new ball joints I purchased from them, the boots cracked after one measly ride. Luckily I had some extra boots laying around but it still didn't make me very happy. Although I may have had a little too much negative camber in my setup putting more pressure on the boots and joints so that's why I didn't jump on the phone and argue with them.
  22. It's yours for the taking. My Paypal is [email protected]. Please send as a gift or add 3% for fees and pm me your full shipping address as well. Thank you!
