If we are looking at the same diagram it is 10, 11, 12, and 13. It's that way on Bike Bandit anyway. PM RootRacing and he'll get you set up with one for $40 shipped I think it is. It's a really nice piece for the money and like I mentioned earlier it's cheap insurance. You've gotta get a Phillips screwdriver into the end of the stud part to hold it still while you tighten down the jamnut otherwise if you're doing that then it sounds like the threads are stripped.
Why don't you just have some mounts made for it to cradle the stock headlights (if that's what you're running) and that clamp onto the frame? I'd rather do that but to each their own. I think Trailtech does something similar but I think it only works with their "torch" lights.
I'd run 'em and wouldn't think twice about it especially if you can come up with some better shocks such as YFZ450 shocks or Ohlins, Works, PEP, etc... Good thing about the Full Flights is that they make them with the necessary mods to mount the 450 shocks so all you have to do is notch the upper mount on the frame I believe.
The tank was off. I don't think I'd try it with the tank on as easy as it is to just drain the fuel, remove tank and radiator plastics, and remove the tank itself. Either way I'm sure it's the correct thread because it threads into my spare stock head just fine, different story on the cook head domes though. I guess I'll try to borrow another tester and see what happens but I'm pretty sure the issue is in the difference in thread tolerances.
Just curious, has anyone ever had problems getting their compression tester hose to thread into the domes? First of all these are brand new domes so I'd hesitate to think that the threads are dirty. Anyway I've got a Craftsman compression test kit with about 8 different hoses. The correct thread that fits the stock head and matches the threads of the plugs will not thread into the cool head domes. I've tried 3 different sets of domes and none of them work. I'm assuming the threads in the cool head domes are a different tolerance but this is just pissing me off really because I'd like to get a baseline compression number to work from in case my bike starts running weird. I feel like > <, every time I make a step forward it seems I make two steps back. Typical I guess.
Have you changed anything? IMO it sounds lean, which consequently is confusing because if you haven't done anything to it then there must be something else wrong. Airleak maybe? Do a leakdown test. If it bogs in 6th I'd bet you're running out of fuel and about to have a heaping pile of aluminum if you continue. Of course this is only my opinion and I could be wrong.
Well the problem is that when I first got on here it worked for me, now it's just a black screen until I click on it then it turns white. I'm gonna restart and hopefully it works. There's some good info in there.
Amen to that. It should be a strict forum rule: "If you don't have anything productive or constructive to say then instead of griping at someone just simply pass on to another thread". Simple as that.
I think that's the problem we're trying to point out here. It took you longer to type all of that crap than it did to either type out a productive answer to his question or just simply pass on to another thread... Now this makes two threads you've done that to in one day. Someone tell me I'm wrong.
