  1. 90Bansheedude, you quoted me and didnt answer my question. If you scroll down you can click add replay if you dont need to quote something. Thanks mopar1rules. That does make sense. I should of know that's how you measure the taper. It's common sense, heh. Just needed to know the tolerances of course. I dont and my shop doesnt have anything that measure
  2. Anybody have a link on how you check taper and for out of round? I have a 2"-12" Starrett ID mic set. And ima machinist so i can possible get gauges from work.
  3. ebay ftw! They had one from the same year as mine. Guaranteed to work so i jumped on it. Price was nice too

    banshee CDI

I am looking for a good deal on a cdi that will be a direct fit for 2001 banshee. So a 1997 and on will work. Must be shipped same day as payment is received unless it's really late. New ones go for $125 so i will not pay anything near that. *note, i do NOT want an entire wiring harness. Edit* Found one. Thanks for looking!
  5. Mother of god. i hate when people quote so many damn pictures. Anyways, how much for just the cdi. Also im only interested if it's a 97+.
  6. To answer your question give carb parts warehouse a call. They have very nice/helpful guys there who can answer your questions like that. They helped me with my new carbs and turns out the float height wasnt the problem i think. It's also a good place to order carb parts from. http://www.carbparts.com/index.html#
  7. if you ever decide to go to $275 shipped, shot me a pm.
  8. I agree but it was worth a try. Good luck with your sale man. I found a revo 2.5 on the traxxas forums for $200 shipped but im still holding off on buying. Not sure if i want a nitro one again.
  9. that car is god. very nice.
  10. The dual pingle has a screen on it. It recommends using the standard 1/4" tubing.
  11. kick it over till it doesnt climb anymore. If you are not sure it's done climbing, kick it over some more. You wont hurt it. I measured mine today. The ID of my stock rubber intake boots were about 1 7/16".
  12. I have the vitos style which has longer channels for the ball bearings. My builder recommended it. I gave HJR a call but he was out of stock and i didnt feel like waiting so i went with the vitos. I'm happy with my vitos though. Works like a champ even with my very old worn out clutch that slipped like crazy before the lockup. Bike shifts like butter. Way easier than it ever did. Only time it doesnt upshift good is if it's being backloaded which is a no no anyways with an override. I play ride with some friendly drag racing on occasion. I never said i didnt want all 6 gears. The only dunable with 1-5 didnt have a m6 when i was buying my override. I just recently learned WCR makes n down 1-5 m6 dunables now. I got my overide in 6 days from a guy in MI. Shifts amazing and his service/shifting and not to mention pricing was awesome. I'm pretty sure i could sell my override and make most of my money back but i dont feel like splitting my cases again.
  13. Come on, fallow the rules. It's not ebay. What's the price? I am looking for a new r/c but an electric. But if the price is good....i might get it. revo 3.3 rtr's are about $475 new. Take in account the value of any r/c drops dramatically as soon as it's bought. Then no telling how the engine was tuned etc. Sure it doesnt take a genus to tune one or break them in but the buyer never knows unless he was there. Would you take $200 shipped for everything minus fuel and batteries.
  14. IMO it looks good as is. Doesnt need a banshee.
  15. the slingshot style lockups can fit under the OEM cover and are cheaper. However, if you wanna take the plate that holds the ball bearings off, you will have to put the engine sideways(take it out or flip the bike on it's side). I have the vito's one. Works great. Other type is more expensive and requires a special cover i believe. But you can work on it with the bike on all 4's. override depends on your taste. I have a n-down 1-5 dunable. I dont see why someone would want anything else unless they NEED all 6 gears and strictly race asphalt.
  16. Just keep in mind that it might pay off to wait a while instead of getting a quickie. You pay for what you get and wait for sometimes.
  17. I never know less weight adds horsepower....
  18. If money is hard to come by. Enjoy it as is. Save up for a new top end when it's time for one. You never know when you can have a freak of nature engine failure.
  19. Your are not going to beat an all out properly set up bike with any bolt on bike. So forget it. As for engine mods, talk to whoever is porting your juggs. That person will be able to tell you what will works best. Everything should work together to get the most out of your set up. for example, port job tailor to the pipes, carbs, compression, domes, fuel type and riding conditions.
  20. I just cracked one of my drain plugs on my bowl for my 30oko carbs. If anybody has a spare drain plug and oring, shoot me a pm. Thanks. edit* I found some. Please delete this thread. Thanks.
  21. Your suppose to hold it WOT when you kick the crap out of it for testing compression. Kick till it wont climb anymore. Then do the test 1 or two more times just incase it didnt seal good. Might give you a false reading that is too low.
  22. you can find those a lot of places. They arent brand new stuff. Check out motosport.com
  23. That isnt a bad price IMO. I bet it rides awesome and has a very fun ride able power delivery.
