  1. That's the only reason i give him a call. I like that fact that i can describe a part and he can find what it is for me then send it to me.
  2. that would get all the ladies....
  3. i think mines crooked. When i wheelie it pulls to one side.
  4. if i only rode in sand then i might think of putting some bling on. all i care about if it runs reliable.
  5. i never though about using a damn pressure washer to wash my bike. Sad thing is we have with i think a 6hp briggs on it. Well.....i know what ill be doing after i get off call. Ima have two very clean bikes.
  6. $1500 isnt bad at all.
  7. How money do you have to spend on a 700 to beat a ported shee? Just curious. Nobody builds up fast bikes here....
  8. i have them but only because the guy who ported my juggs recommended it. period.
  9. I would try to stay away from anything cept radials or slicks. Before i was ported i ran my 19" holeshots and could stand it up on the bar easy taking off. Now after all my engine work, suspension work etc, im not nearly set up good enough to hook up on asphalt. I spin till i hit 4th. Asphalt tears up knobs either way. I tell ya what though, asphalt 1/8 mile races are really fun. I've never tried the 1/4 mile on asphalt but im sure it's awesome. The top speed must be pretty high too. I almost ran out of gear in the 1/8th.....good luck in the 1/4th!
  10. yo DJ, if you decide to sell your ASV lever, give me a holla. I been wanting one for cheaper than i can find on ebay
  11. holy shit, only 1k? Someone jump on this bike. You wont beat fun per dollar here. I sold my 01 yz125 for $1700 earlier this year, this is a super cheap.
  12. shee's with a street bike engines are so lame. Man up and lay down the law. So what if ya gotta sleep on the sofa for a few days....months.
  13. I ran the 2 into 1 toomey filter kinda like posted above and it got VERY dirty. Worked fine. As for the 28mm carbs, i run stock carbs. I've got a ported engine with all supporting mods. It runs very strong and reliable(i got the video to prove it  ). You will be fine with stock carbs. I basicly went in the same direction you are going. A ported shee with supporing mods then called it quits with the engine. Then focus on suspension. I went with a yfz450 front end and a gforce axel. Revalved/sprung OEM rear shock. works fine. cheap too
  14. Bah, just find a Clymer for the brain and go for it.
  15. 15/41 was what i was using but i just went back to stock. Much better. I rather the spread out gears on the 15/41 but oh well. I wish my powerband wouldnt hit so damn violent though. Good ole t5s
  16. Jetting is not hard once you understand which adjustment does what. It took me a while to get the bog off idle cleared up but that was simply because i never tuned a bike before. Turned out being my needle clip position. I was a too rich so i went lean one spot. I've also done stupid things like forget the choke tube, put the needle clip on both carbs in different places etc. You live, you learn
  17. flotek does some amazing work. You wont be dispointed with the port job's power! free bump!
  18. I would say try a 16t front sprocket and see how things go. It's gonna take u long enough to top that out IMO. This stuff is greek to me. I prefer acceleration. I'm ported and i dont really care for 15/41. Kinda too fast.
  19. my shee runs pefect with 27.5 pilots. it's ported too. start with a rich main(300) then tune till it runs good. Everyones bike IS different.
  20. good luck with everything 03. and thanx again for telling me how to adjust those 450 shocks even though i think mine didnt come from you. Real cool of you man!
  21. I'm just saying 45 cuz i know i atleast have that. I think the guy who did mine dynoed a setup like mine around 55-60. I really am not going for hp numbers nor do i care about it. I wanted a strong mind range so i can play around. I got that and a lot more
  22. yup, i know first hand. Really goes to show you hp numbers dont mean anything. People dont go nuts here modding bikes unfortuantly. I rather race dirtbikes though on my shee haha. talk about fun!
  23. I think im pushing over 45hp on my ported shee. I'm not sure on my hp number because it's just a number to me, i play around. And i didnt dump that much money into it. I dont think there's any dynos around my area. It kinda seems like a lost cause dumping the money it takes to have a HRC and not get that much more hp out of it. dont get me wrong, id love to have a 450 to play on.
  24. well how much hp do they make?
  25. Since you are getting a port job, get the supporting mods to get every ounce of power you can from it. This means, reeds, pipes to match your riding style etc. port job, pipes etc should all be thought about as a finished product. It all needs to work together in the end to get the best results. After that, id recommend a cheap $200 g-froce axel, revalved/sprung OEM rear shock. Then get some decent a-arms for the front and some nice shocks. Elkas are insanely priced and do you NEED that expensive of a shock? I put a revalved/sprung rear shock on mine, yfz450 front end on mine. I also put a gforce axel. Bike rides 10X better. If i had to do it all over again, i would put suspension before power upgrades. Power is always nice but damnit, having a nice driving bike is so much better IMO.
