  1. I am selling a Pro Design Pro Flow filter adapter. It is in good shape and functions fine. O-ring is in good condition. Asking $35 shipped or $30 pickup. I live in Saginaw TX just north of Fort Worth. I dont get on the forum often so email me at payne818@hotmail.com with any questions or interests.
  2. So youre suggesting I just rebuild the topend and just have the stock cylinders ported then buy some 33 carbs? How much difference in cost would there be? I like to ride some rough trails, so I dont dont want to lose too much bottom end power w/ an overly aggressive port job, but I still really enjoy picking on the 450s. What would be an ideal port job and who should I contact on here?
  3. This winter, Im looking to get a lil more serious with modifications on my bike. First off, I found a set of T5 Toomey head pipes, and want to know if I buy these, will they bolt right up to my stingers that are on my T6s right now? Reason for the T5s is Im leaning towards a 404cc big bore kit and having aggressive trail/play porting done. Im keeping the costs down and sticking with stock carbs. So, can I bolt the head pipes up, what big bore kit does everyone recommend, and does anyone have recommendations on where to get the port work done? Anyone have experience with www.eastcoastatv.com? I know they build some pretty serious banshees so I would assume they can do the port work and they are only 30min from where Im stationed.

  5. Its a custom 5" Rough Country that topgun customz puts together and then I added the rough country dual shock mounts and steering stabilizer. The tires are Pro-Comp X-terrain 315/75/16s or 35/12.50/16 equivalents and the wheels are just like the factory wheels I had before, just the polished version.
  6. Im thinking Im gonna go to a 15/41 setup when my chain needs to be replaced. From what Ive read, thats the most popular. Funny thing is, I used my same GPS to check my friends piped 450R and only got 72.8 out of it. He didnt want to believe it.
  7. I went riding this last weekend and since I recently got a GPS I figured Id see what my bike could do. Due to me being about 240lbs and everyone saying w/ just bolt-ons Id only see about 75mph I figured thats about what Id get. Well I made one run and hit 78 then ran out of road so I started further back and got 83.??mph and it was still slowly accelerating but I had no more road to use. Is this normal for a stock geared bike w/ parts like mine. Im really impressed w/ how my bike runs everytime I ride it but 85 or more mph really impresses me. Id like to hear everyones imput and experiences.
  8. Good advice but I like the track record of the Honda. I might also look into a stock 660(better comfort for my big ass) Its rarely trails soo tight your barely moving so the cooling isnt a big issue. I have 4 friends on 400ex's and they get along just fine on all the trails but truely suck on hill climbs and drag racing........the wife wont be doing that much though.
  9. Ive got a friend that is a die-hard 400ex fan. Hes always hinting that he thinks his cammed 400 is faster than the shee but he never actually says it. Well, we went riding this weekend and after being on the trails for a while we decide to take it back to the trucks for lunch and hes like "wanna ride the 400?". I say sure and hand over my bike. No exageration, halfway back to the trucks, he pulls over on the trail and gets off my bike and says he cant handle the powerband and hes gonna put it in the trees.....lol so we switch back and he now describes the banshee as like riding a constant explosion. Im very comfy with my bike but I will say that the timid power of a 400 is alot more comfortable on the trails since the bike isnt trying to rip the handlebars out of your hands everytime you blip the throttle and grab traction. The wife is wanting a bike and I think she might end up with a 400 so I can use it in the woods when she doesnt go: )
  10. Ive been thinking about taking my bike to the 1/8 mile. Any ideas on what I can expect? I weigh 230.
  11. Hope this isnt a repost, and I wish I could talk my wife into taking my bike so I could buy this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Custom-Bans...105872672QQrdZ1
