  1. +2 At such a young age, just getting around is all you need. A little used truck will do fine for haulin the shee around. And also good for bring a lady friend around on friday nights.
  2. from what i can read, all those riders sucked minus the warrior guy. I used to get beat all day long by 450's when i got my bike. All it had was bolt ons. Sure i spun spun off the line but hey, i got beat. And beating a 250 two stroke dirtbike.....LOL. Heck, even a 125 is hard to beat if they can ride. and when you are ready to get ported, give flotek a call. period.
  3. awwww and i ordered some stuff monday from ya. I wish ida known! i need me some grapy smellin exaust
  4. For shocks, you dont need elkas. Those are top of the line and very expensive. Just do some searching and you will find many other cheaper options that are way better than stock. stay away from the yfz450 shocks/a-arms. They are garbage! I am getting rid of mine soon.
  5. I did it for the first time in may i think. I just fallowed the clymer manual and it was fine. Just take your time. First time takes the longest because it's all new to you.
  6. it's very hard for me to read when someone types in all caps.
  7. you have to mix the oil in the gas!! :ermm:
  8. i still would put money on the crf450, especialy if my banshee was involved. My pos has problems shifting under wot
  9. in the last race here i race a dirtbike like mentioned: Dirtbike is cam'ed and god knows what else, he was banging gears like a pro. he did spin a lot as i did. http://www.2sly4.us/rc/codys_stuff/spillwa...7high%20res.wmv I did VERY well considering the fallowing: letting off to shift gears, 19" holeshots, road was VERY sandy and my needle clip settings were different. The video shows nothing though, the facotrs were bad for both of us, especialy the dirtbike because he has one little tire spinning on the sandy road. Good sport though. IMO a non ported banshee wont beat a nice dirtbike. Mine couldnt beat my old piped yz125 but my shee spun spun spun till 4th. A banshee needs to be ported to even hang with 250 2 strokes or 450 4 strokes. Most importantly, a banshee needs traction off that line because the bike dirtbikes pull very hard. As for cub'ed banshee racing dirtbikes...that's not even a race. The guy(with the other banshee) in that video has a little drag ported cub in that shee now and detroys dirtbikes and myself of course. Drag bike vs MX bike....come on now. When drag racing, set up has to do ALOT with winning. If you cant catch traction, you go nowhere fast. my ole yz125 topped out at 73 and my shee at 71ish i think. My dirtbike got there a lot faster. I have yet to race my yz250 against my ported shee. I've raced a 00yz250 and from what i can see, ill be able to beat my dirtbike with my banshee. flotek is the shiznit!!
  10. I bid on it. seems like a good deal. I hope i win, auction doesnt have too long left.
  11. I got k&n pod filters. they came with metal hose clamps. Nothing was needed. They even came pre oiled. I do recommend getting a recharge kit or whatever it's called. It's good to keep your air filters clean.
  12. cut them unless you ride in mud.
  13. go to your local walmart and look at the aussie land hair products. Purple bottle...not pink. Proof is there man.
  14. In japan, ninjas use stealth powerbands. The 400ex's come with them over there. I race one once. I was in the lead about to shift into 5th then he hit his stealth powerband and it shot a ninja star to the back of my head. I then lost control and lost the race. true story. Then in austraila, they have aussie powerbands. The 400ex's come equiped with auto pilot. You hit the yellow powerband and a kangaroo takes over and drives for you.
  15. 50cc's more man. wasnt fair.
  16. I jetted my bike using 40:1. i would probably go 50:1 if i wasnt ported. runs fine. good enough for me.
  17. playing catch up is fine but i dont call barely a half tire ahead or something of that nature by the end of 6th gear too much of a rewarding win. It's fun with a ported shee. You can get detroyed out the hole and catch up and pass in a jiffy
  18. my porterd shee beats ltr's and i get detroyed by a locals cub'ed banshee. Since you are unported, i hope you can drive good. They can get off the line very well. Like MJ said, you will have to play catchup if u dont get......wait wait im tired of these threads. race him and find out. period. my money is on the lt though....
  19. Flotek. period.
  20. i love my shee but i wouldnt race it unless it's a drag race. Traction sucks ass and so does turning.
  21. i use it, it smells good!!! it is teh sex.
  22. i have cut knarlys. work great for strait line/trails. they are a little rough though.
  23. my port job has a very very strong mid hit and pulls very hard on top for stock juggs. Traction is my only issue sometimes. Oh yeah and lack of driving skill. Damn missing gears during drag races :ermm:
  24. go check out flotek http://flotek.everything2stroke.com/ Tell him what you want and he will tell you exactly how the engine will be once done. I got pretty much the same port job you are wanting....almost. I have a VERY strong midrange and it pulls much harder than stock on the top end too. The powerband is also very broad and smooth but if you nail the throttle it does pull hard....that's assuming you get traction hehe. I got some video but they suck. I could have more power all over especialy low end but i like running 94 octane pump gas.
  25. Will do, thanks for the heads up. I'ma tear it down tomarrow to see what's messed up first.
