damn right, go back to the dealer. If they are anything like the local idiot stealership here, they wont do a damn thing. Atleast you can get stock banshee carbs for cheap on ebay.

My 3000 dollar shopping list
RagunCajun replied to 350BANSHEE350's topic in General Banshee Discussion
As for the cool head, why not get your current one milled and just get your juggs ported. If you dont care to be ported(best bang for the buck), leave it unported and the milling of a head only cost around $40. Done. I would also recommend getting a timing plate instead of the timing key. I see a lot of things i wouldnt get that are a "bling" item imo but it's your bike and money. That's a real nice list but $3000 wont cut it. Youll need new gaskets, parts you break, strip etc. I did this in feb of this year. I way over my expected cost in no time. That had to do with it being my first time doing engine work and all other work on the bike. It's a good learning experience though. You bike is gonna look and ride real nice man. -
Get your juggs ported. I wish you lived closer so you could ride my bike. Ported juggs are a night and day difference. Check out flotek, $380 for the portjob and flywheel lighening like i got. Plus a little extra for the new gaskets you have to replace. While you're at it, get him to mill your stock head. Done. No need for a pricey cool head.

It's smarter just to buy a used one and build it up to your liking. That's what i did.

It all starts by you reading post after post about someone with a banshee beating some 450's with bad drivers or lying about it. You get this idea that your shee will beat 450's. Then you race them and you are like wtf. I was there..... My shee with bolt ons lost. I believe with the proper traction, you will do better but all that yfz has to do is get a few bolt ons and he is once again ahead of you. Get ported and good tires. You must have a good set of tires on the back. I just bought some knarlys and i cut every other row of knobs off. Talk about hooking up!
-
Why not put 3 hd springs in there while you have it apart. That's what i did when i went ported. My clutch worked great although i wish the pull was lighter.
-
i used to catch up when it was too late with bolt ons...that's IF i caught up. I usualy didnt. I used to spin like crazy with my almost new 19" holeshots. The holeshot is so vitalin a drag, especialy against them 450s which hook up way better. Just get a port job. you can have a shitty take off and still catch up and pass them. I just got some Kenda Knarlys and cut every other row of knobs off. They hook amazing on for dirt/grass.

and where exactly do you have rhinos anywhere else on your bike? I guess a certain theme isnt what you are going for
-
cv i had those same bolt ons and lost as well. Then i got ported/flywheel lighened with supporting mods. Now, i win. Even if they get me off the line, i catch them up by the end of 5th. And that's with spinning like crazy. In all honesty, just enjoy your bike. Someone will always be faster. 450's arent slow. That's just a factor. Takes more than bolt ons for a shee to beat them if they can drive. This subject has been beaten to death. Send your juggs to flotek when you are ready to be ported. I got some video on here of me racing with my ported shee and it was even tuned a little bad haha.

I would say get it. It cleans up the underneath meanwhile getting rid of possible problems in the future. I used the motion pro kit. It had very shitty instructions. Perhaps the vito's one is better. As for the drilling of the holes, it's very simple. There's MANY threads on this and you can read a lot of tips on how to do it.

If you end up NEEDING to get t5's, you can just sell your t6 pipes when the time comes. then buy some used t5s. That's what i did. I got my t5's for like $275 shipped from someone on hq. Pipes were in pretty decent condition too. If you arent going for a show bike, id get a used set of pipes. I cant comment on my t6 pipes though. My bike came with them when i bought them and i have nothing to compare it too. the t6 pipes sounded freakin awesome though Only reason i went with t5's is because i want an all around pipe and my port job guy(flotek) decided it would be best for me.

I thought you can swap the slides?

Get a port job. Cheapest bang for the buck and you get your powerband to hit how you need it to. I got Flotek to give me one hell of a broad stronger powerband and it is freakin awesome. I do not run on sand however but im guessing if you get traction, they wouldnt stand a chance. If traction is a problem(you spin too much), you will spin and play catch up but beat them in the end much easyer. 450's are fast and the 700r's are getting really fast.

The moose racing EZ pull clutch perch/lever sucks. The part where you adjust it is too weak. I went to crimp mine back tight and the pos broke. Just my $.02. I'm going with ASV. As for the cascade innovations billet lever, i have one. I freakin love it.

Is It Normal For The Bike To Jump When Put In 1st?
RagunCajun replied to 350BANSHEE350's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Both my bikes do it. I know my clutch is fine on both. Come to think of it, mine does it only when cold. I've put god knows how many different types of tranny oil in it. Now im on the cheap type f stuff. Works fine. I'm cheap -

yo try putting the add up on craigslist or whatever it's called. I've had good success. Also try boats, bikes and r/v's. I got both my current bikes from there and my old 125 from craigslist. The problem with louisiana is getting the word out. There's buyers out there.....just gotta spread the word. dont give up man.

Who in their right mind gives someone lengths in a drag race. the whole fun if it is seeing who's faster and if so by how much. Race heads up so we can watch a more entertaining video. -
this is more like who has more top end. It's gonna come down to how is gear best. Put a 15 or 16 tooth front on there. Your gonna spank the z400 but he might catch u on top. video tape it.

Anyone ever make their own moded shift star?
RagunCajun replied to bigdaddy69's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have a modded shift start(bought it) and the shift pro kit. the spring on the shift pro kit is really stiff. I would strongly recommend getting somethign else. Someone mentioned one from a blaster....get it. If anybody has a spare i can buy from a blaster, shoot me a pm. -
when i had t6's, vf3 reeds, noss head 21cc domes etc i had 280 mains. Everyone's bike is different. Start rich and work your way down. That's what i had to do.

RagunCajun replied to Sheebang's topic in Roostin' Room
hater or not, it's the truth. If the dude can ride, you will lose imo. Prove me wrong. That should be hard right....? The best bang for the money is a port job w/ supporting mods. Stop screwing around with just bolt ons if you wanna spank some 450's/raptors with ease. There's too many factors when it comes to who will win. The only way to know is to race. There's countless threads like this. Noone every accomplished anything cept disppointment when the "winner/favorite" loses. This is a banshee site but people respect other bikes. I got spanked by raptors/450s before my port job etc.
