  1. I had 2 motors apart at the same time last week one with a modquad impeller and the other with a prodesign. If I switched them from one case to the other they would rub, but if I left them in the cases they were in they didn't rub. So basically I think it is a crap shoot, and neither rub enough for me to worry out it. There is a small amount of free play in the shaft if the seal and bear are installed correctly. make sure your the washer on the gear side isn't too big where it might pull the impeller into the case. that's my $.02
  2. It sounds like you have a 4mil stroker motor. the old pistons you have are probably blaster pistons that have a different pin to deck height (2mm) and the thick gasket is to make up the difference(2mm) therefore 4mm stroker.
  3. So you want 2500 for the motor plus you want their stock motor? most stock motors on ebay go for about a grand, so that means you are asking almost $3500 for the motor? I just want to make sure I understand what you are asking.
  4. Which tank is it (size)?
  5. They use a small version of the front hanger. I think it is pretty stupid that they didn't make them bolt up like some pipes do, but it is a way they can make more money. I made some out of some flat iron.
  6. Thanks Beau, That is exactly what I was looking for.
  7. I think the Gixxer is worth mor then that particular banshee. It better a a bad ass port job if it ""needs" a 6 over swingarm. You would be better of selling then trading IMO.
  8. I saw that page, but what I'm not clear on is the large washer and the bearing itself. It seems like with all that shit in there the screw isn't long enough to put the nut on.
  9. Man you are having the worst luck with that thing. Like I said before, I still have some spare parts lying around if you want to use them. If you do need a new crank it really isn't that big of a pain to pull if apart and get a new one in there. That picture looks rough so it is going to be hard to tell wether or not the new FW is going to sit on the straight. I sujest you take that the first FW that broke and stick it on there and see if the it sits on the like it should and see if there is any run out. Did you get your other motor back from Jeff. When My new paddles some in we should make another trip.
  10. What is the exact order the pancake bearing for the clutch and outer clutch hub go in? If anyone has a picture that would help.
  11. So then why did you need glasses anyways? Bad Luck though
  12. What plastics do you have to cut to get the Clark tanks to fit.
  13. Depending on the type of riding you do it can help or hurt you. Also you lighten a stock flywheel by machining material off of it, so if your flywheel is in good shape you can take it to a machine shop.
  14. If it did something it would show on dyno sheets, which it doesn't. If you want to run it because it looks cool thats fine, but realize that it gets in the way of cables which rub on it can can cause the intake boots to tear.
  15. My vote is flywheel. I've taken apart working harneses and they too were moist anf full of sand. When you shake the flywheel it is supper quite and almost sounds like sand. I know you can pick one up pretty sheap on ebay. I'll be up your way in about a month, but I hope you get it running before then.
  16. My guess would be the voltage regulator is unpluged at the back of the bike.
  17. You should start selling the other parts off the 06 so you can have it all built up when/if you get your motor back. Bump for a good guy
  18. Interested in the frame (year condition and price shipped to cali)
  19. Niether of us thought that a flywheel could be a problem, but I remeber reading on here if it rattles then it is bad. I could hear it rattle, but moneybags couldn't. It is really a faint rattle. So we swaped it out to my running bike and it didn't run, so we put mine on his and his ran. I thought that a flywheel was just a chuck of metal with magnets glued on it, but I guess there is more too them. Swap it out and see if that is it, it took us about 30min to do that.
  20. I'm interested in the frame
  21. I sent you a pm, I can come pick them up and maybe help you get your cub running.
  22. Will you take less if I come and get them?
  23. I'm also interested [email protected]
  24. so, what is the price of the frame?
  25. Stock heads are about 22-23cc so my guess would be that .030 off would put it around a 20cc dome. the only way you are going to tell forsure is to do a compresson test.
