  1. a bone stock banshee is one of the slowest quads out there. a set of pipes will even the playing field.
  2. They call me tatter salad.... haha I'm sure lee has other shit to do and it looks like you got something to work.
  3. You might want to pull the jugs back off, because it sounds like you have a ring proble or they are not evenly ported. If both exhaust ports are not identical you can get different comp readings. WHen compression testing is done it should be done with wot, so a pluged jet would be a none issue there, but could cause a difference in the plug color, but most likly is is because of the problem that is causing the comp difference. haha I said jugs.
  4. I think you answered your question right there. When the piston is in it's intake cycle some exhaust gas flow back intot the cyclinder which is a negitive direction. this short period of vacum would not make a turbo very happy.
  5. a 13 in the front helps a lot, there are 12s out there but they seem too tight of a radius for the chain to revolve around.
  6. This has been my experence also. It takes no work to get the gas out before you put it away and it always starts first or second kick the next time I try and 2 of my bike sat for 2 years.
  7. I added foam to my seat and then shaped it, then put a new griper cover on it. It helped a ton. it brought my ass up a little which helped in the legs and it made the seat a lot easier to ride all day. I also put pro tapper cr high bend bars on that took a lot of the rattle out of the hands. With my butt higher I was worried about having a higher cg but it didn't make any difference, but i did on'y raise it by and inch or so.
  8. I took the pistion out, because there is a non-metalic bushing that the piston rides on, and if you get it up 400 degrees I'm sure it isn't going to like it. plus it allows to to get all the fuild out so that you are starting with a completly clean piece.
  9. what is your elevation? 175 psi with 17cc domes? really? either you are way up there or you had leak somewhere before and now you don't.
  10. A couple of us were down at pismo last month and one of my buddies rode off a 2 foot "dune" at about 6 mph and broke his wrist in 2 places. it was pretty much the lamest way to hurt yourself I've ever seen. atleast if you are going to break yourself you should have a good story to show for it. Make one up and then go to the bar and see if it fetchs any girlies.
  11. no just buy a new spring
  12. can someone post a pic of what it looks like from the front.
  13. the guy i ride with was having the same problems and I ended up tearing his carb off and going up 3 sizes from stock to get it to run up top. which wasn't the best thing to do, because now he is was to close to me when we drag race.
  14. I've been there a hand full of times with out issue, and I was a lot louder then 93dB.
  15. I hope you meant there IS ride height adjustment, because adding "preload" is a ride height adjustment. The only way to make a spring stiffer is to replace it with a stiffer one. Spring bind is only going to be an issue if you put a spring that is not designed for the travel of the shock. So if you have already adjusted all of the ride height you can out of the stock spring you can buy a heavier spring for about $25.
  16. I've run both back to back and the t5 have more over rev, and the fatties hit a little sooner, but the t5 pulled longer.
  17. get some pod filters and throw your air box shit away, you are just asking for dirt to get in there.
  18. good deal, that was what I was thinking. do start to run into coats being to thick with the clear?
  19. I've been PCing some of my own shit and for my next bike I want to do some translusents and metalic colors that need a clear coat, and my question is can I do a clear powder on them? I havn't had any experience with 2 stage powders yet and I'm not sure how the first coat reacts when being baked for the second coat.
  20. if you have another banchee around pull the flywheel off and try it on yours. It has happened before they do break, and they sound like there is sand inside them when they are broke. moneybags had one go bad a year ago and it took him a while to figure it out.
  21. It took you 5 months to figure it out?
  22. put the out of frames on their and see what the difference is. The hp difference isn't that big between in and out.
  23. You can either buy an intake that is really thick or just use reed spacers, that is their purpose, but watch out for air leaks.
  24. WOW The fact that is not a premix oil would worry me. If it were me I would take the motor out and pour it out of the intakes. If you just go and do it you'll be done before anyone else gets a chance to laugh at you.
