i am also in michigan...... i have 280s in mine with toomey t5s and a k&n but thats with no airbox lid too..... i would say with youre set up try 260's and go from there

before i pulled my motor down i was running a +4 timing key.....the motor was box stock except the t5's &the timing key.....it ran ok on pump gas (93) but it would overheat..... on race gas(110) it ran awesome and no overheating.......so race gas it is for me....just my .02

i have to disagree.......my jetting is perfect.....nice golden color on the plugs but with trail riding and luging the motor around in the trails the br8es tends to foul out if you were racing i would say the same thing.....br8's will work fine but for my setup and kind of riding i do the evx's are the best ive found

you should smoke that preaditor junk.......i had an 03 blaster that was pretty done up.....and prredators and 400 ex's didnt have shit commin but an ass whippin

i run br8evx's in mine the ones with the small electrode.....there a lil more expensive but i didnt foul a plug all year......

i decided not to part my shee..... but i still have the toomey t5s for sale as i said in my other post 250.00 shipped to the lower 48 the inside of the pipes are a lil rusty but the outsides(the sides you see) are in ok shape

Ok.....ive decided not to part it out sorry for not answering pms..... i do still want to sell the toomey t5 set i have....ive noticed i was a little hig on the price for the condition.....there a lil rusty on the insides of the pipes but the side that you see is in ok shape.... ill take 250 shipped for them ships to the lower 48 only via ups or fed ex with a tracking number

you will get alot of different opinions on this subject......this is how ive always done my break-ins and its worked well for me... after the third heat cycle ride it......not letting it get to hot no PROLONGED full throttle untill after 2 tanks of fuel... what i mean by no prolonged full throttle is you can stab it through a cpl gears then ease up on it. nothing over 1/2 throttle for any amout of time for 2 tanks of fuel then ride it like you stole it :beer: .......just my .02

the vin is on the left side of the bike on the lower frame rail under the motor also there is a number on the motor on the left side lower case but i dont know if it will tell you anything

well if you go k&n's you will have to rejet in most cases......the timing plate is the best for ease of install with good results......but...i will say k&n's are also a good investment i like the pro flow setup myself.......just because i ride in some wet conditions sometimes and thats not good for the pod setup......just my .02

i buy my klotz at my local yamaha shop.......any reputable bike shop yamaha or otherwise should have klotz....either R50 or supertechniplate.....but you will prolly get it a bit cheaper buying it in bulk from RMATV.....just my .02

yep. i have t5's on mine and im at a 280 with a pro flow ,K&N,and no lid.......its jetted perfect...

i know what ya mean bein used to a piped blaster......i had 10k in my 03 blaster and it still didnt hold a candle to my shee.......... loved the blaster cause i could throw it around......but the shee is a whole new world...welcome to it Ride Safe!!

the white smoke tells me its rich.....and also on another one of your posts you said the plug was wet...... Like the others said check the spark....if it has a nice fat blue spark then youre good there... personally i think the jetting is off......but thats just my .02
