  1. If the bike is stock and you want to go cheap, just buy yamalube brand 2R oil at your local Yamaha dealership. When people notice your question you will probably get different suggestions because everyone likes to use something different. Just search the forum, because the question about oil has been answered several times. My suggestion is just find a local bike shop, if not a yamaha dealer, that deals with atv's and see what brands they sell for banshee's. You can also order some online if you want, or if you have too, at sites like rockymountainatv.com or motosport.com. I personally am using Maxima Super M right now. Other good ones are Bel-Ray and the Klotz brand. I will also suggest that you get a measuring cup like the one on motosport.com called the Ratio Rite. I always mix my fuel like I'm in a lab because the morons who just guess and mix what they think obviously don't care and their bikes run shitty. If you mix your oil right, your bike will appreciate you for it and it will run great. Oh, and ALWAYS use premium. As far as the aftermarket Cdi box is concerned, its purpose is to map your engine differently to take advantage of aftermarket upgrades. There really is no point in getting one if you have a stock exhaust system. Any shee fanatic on this site will tell you that a good exhaust system is the first thing you EVER do to a banshee if you want it to go faster, besides rolling it down a cliff. It is an unwritten rule. If it is not stock, there are still other things that are better that you can do before a aftermarket cdi box. You just need to snoop around in the mod section and learn.
  2. I found a good deal on some stock yfz 450 front wheels, tires and everything. Mine are shot and I am wondering if anyone knows for sure if they will fit the hubs on a 2003 banshee?
  3. The motosport sportlite wheels seem like they have been around for a while, but I have yet to see them on a shee. Does anyone have a pic? Any info? (No topics in the forum)
  4. Yeah, but like I said, Im not too concerned about speed give or take...just which is more of an all-around pipe. I really like the looks of the Alien so if toomeys are pretty close in performance, Id rather have the Aliens.
  5. Have you ever riden any shees with other types of pipes; or against them (toomeys mainly). How do the 916's compare. Im not sure what there built for. My first thoughts were that they are maybe a low-mid pipe but the site really doesnt say except that they improve torque and horsepower significantly. If anybody else would like to chime in Ive had toomeys for a while but they were on the bike when I got it. Around here everyone is obsessed with speed and at one point so was I but now I feel more and more like speed really doesnt matter. I mean yeah it's good but there will always be someone faster. I want my bike to be a very good play bike but would it be a mistake to swap toomeys for these DMC's?
  6. yeah, I never really liked the 916 but these new Aliens look pretty tight. I guess they are too new and noone must know about them yet. I dont like buying anything on looks alone.
  7. I reposted this because i stupidly made my first post sound like I was talking about the raptor and noone is clicking on the link. Anyways, anybody know about these yet.CLICK HERE I stumbled on them when I was looking for an exhaust for my brothers 700.
  8. No, the old ones came together at the back and these dont, and Im sure there different in someway as far as power as compared to the other ones Yea, when I read your first reply I knew I had f'd up. I thought maybe since this IS a banshee site people would just assume, or at least click on the link. I guess thats what I get for thinkin
  9. Yep, mine will do the same thing. Just get accustomed to turning the valve off a little before or after you turn the bike off and your golden. If you happen to forget again and it wont crank (I do sometimes); you dont need to be pulled. Just take your seat off... and then the airbox lid...and then the filter. Get on it, start kicken, and it should start up; then just put everything back on.
  10. DUDE... is anybody clicking the link... THESE ARE FOR THE BANSHEE I guess I should have mentioned that.
  11. I was looking around for an exhaust system for my brothers 700 and one of the sites I went to was DMC. Well...I noticed they came out with these just this june.CLICK Anybody know anything about them yet?
  12. I know this topic is old but Ive got to get something straight here. smaller gears equals more top-end and bigger gears equals more low-end. Im not sure if thats what yall meant but I thought I would just clarify.
  13. If you do check your carburator just make sure you know which one is the pilot jet. Im sure you do but some people could miss it. Its a small jet thats screwed in a tube beside the main jet. You will need a small screwdriver to get it out. When you do the best thing to do is to use a straightened paper clip to push any debris out.
