what he calls match porting is lightly porting the cyllinders....like he knife edges the intakes...where its like a flat block behind the carbs.....i live in michigan and the riding i do is mostly pleasure riding.....but i do also run 1/4 mile flat track......im not sue of the elevation here..... i got the .040 piston kit for a lil over 100.00 so thats why i bought it....couldnt touch one local for less then 195.00 and with the +4 timing i was told i have to run race gas to prevent detonation....... thanx for the input guys

ok....i got a 01 shee and just pulled her down for the first time.......got a hulluva deal on ebay for the top end kit so were goin .040 over......also milling the head .030 and what my builder calles match porting the cyllinders....it has a +4 timing key toomey t5's k&n on a pro-flow set up runs on 110 race gas and klotz super techniplate.... just wondering what size keihn's i would want to go with also planning to get v-force's any input would help.....thanx

i live in lansing and my shee has 280's in it(stock carbs) ....i run it that way summer and winter and when we winter ride its usually at night in leota(harrison)....it gets a lil rich in the summer but it still revs clean......i like a lil rich anyways like the other guys said lean is BAD. and you can get stock carb jets at any yamaha shop and there only a couple bucks a piece my shee is a '01 and i just pulled it down for the frist time ever...... :beer: :beer:

i dunno about those either....but i have a set of sand stars.....20x11x9 on blaster wheels with blaster hubs (blaster hubs will slide right on a banshee axle) 130.00 plus ship

make that $125.00 + shipping 20.00 for the hubs

we have here a set of itp sand stars on douglas 9" wheels...... blaster bolt pattern ........have blaster hubs if you banshee guys are interested(they slide right on banshee splines) will sell tires/wheels for 140.00+ ship........add 20.00 if you want the hubs just so ya all know that price is a lil negotible.......

have to bore them they have a taper in them....... and it was for sure time to rebuild......its a 01 and this is the first time the head had been off the motor this all started from the damn e-clip on the shift fork shaft breaking and the shaft sliding out of the case........lol machinist says they have a thousadths and a half taper in the cylinders

was wondering where the cheapest place to get weisco piston kits is and how for should i go on the boaring i hear alot of guys go .080 right from stock is this true? any info would help mods are as follows +4 degree timing key boost bottle(i know yank yank) toomey t5's k&n w/outerwears no airbox lid boysen reeds(soon to be v-force 3's) run 110 octane race gas and klots super tech.
