  5. you can get the "cool blue" xenon (or however its spelled)bulbs on ebay they claim like twice as bright as stock.... my opinion.....spend the coin if ya can and get a set of halogen 35 watt trail techs for the stock banshee headlight mounting locations.... they will run off the stock stator just fine Dan
  6. crystal would be kick ass with all that banking.......and i had also thought some (money depending)of hitting a few indiana tracks myself this year. im also curious about mt. plesant or muir wanting to run us.... dont bother going to hartford that sucked....i went once last year and it was a crash fest....just not big enough and by the way do you know how to get ahold of greg with the other banshee that blew up? Dan
  7. dan hulls dyno at a&s racing is a one rear wheel setup...... uses a gsxr swingarm modified to fit in a shee frome.... and with the width of a gsxr tire i dont see traction being an issue.....lol but youre right red i dont think id want any part of actually riding it like that
  8. 40 over aint all thats being done....... a lil port work here and there and a few other goodies.. as far as the ice goes i have no studded tires for my shee i ate the budget up doing the ground up rebuild heres a pic without motor or shocks in yet
  9. i broke the tranny is why i dint come back........ and i got something for you ass ths year buddy that 250 r will be doing nothing but looking at my tail light.....lol motor is in being built by A&S racing as we speak Dan

  11. thanks for the kind words guys the fenders have to go......it just dosent look right with the tires not even under them. well the A&S built motor will be done friday and the TCS shocks are still a cpl weeks out. i havent been able to ride in 4 or 5 months....i need my fix BAD!!! Dan

  13. i have to disagree with you there...... if plastic renew is used EXACTLY as the directions say then it works wonders i can say that from personal experiance well worth the 18.00 IMO! Dan
  14. i just ordered TCS trip. rate fronts w/remote rezies 0 pre load comp adj. and ride height adj. and had TCS convert my stock rear to a dual rate 0 pre load ride height adj. got it all for a lil over 1200.00 havent got em yet but the anticipation is killing me.....gonna be a whole new bike

  19. the answer to the question about the rings looking good but still needing replaced: yes the rings will wear out and still look ok to the eye pulled my 01 down for the first time ever about 3 mos ago and my pistons and rings looked good too.. so i thought sweet just a hone and new rings and away we go........not!!!! it had 1.5 thousandths taper in both cyls..... so just to be safe i did the whole thing......had dan @ a&s pull it down and get it done right..... i went .040 over with mine(just because i got a .040 piston kit off ebay for 115.00) only really had to go .010 or .020 i guess what im trying to say is just what was posted earlier......if you have it down that far take the cyls to the machine shop and have them mic'd if theres no taper or egg shape to them u should be able to hone it put a new set of rings in and be done.... Dan
  20. these are janssen arms......i called janssen and asked before i re-installed them and janssen told me the straight tube goes to the front...if they are on backwards ill be pissed.......lol but i really dont think they are because the heim joints wouldnt line up on the spindles any other way
  21. so do you just take the lines off the rad......or do you run them somewhere to dump as an overflow?
  22. i was thinking the same thing....but running engine ice at 18.00 a half gallon i really dont want to just let it leak out on the ground
  23. where do the coolant bottle lines go on the radiator..... i know this is a dumbass question....but im drawing a total mind blank here :: :: thanx guys Dan
  24. not gonna bash ya for something i did myself..... i strapped all 3 shocks right down almost rigid......made a huge difference in cornering but now that i got my TCS 0 pre load/ride height adjustables on they way i wont have to do that
  25. i was told by dan at A&S that stock carbs are fine up to about 70hp or so.... if youre gonne be more hp then that id say go for it but if not dont waste your money
