  1. the right tool is called a c-spanner. go and get one before you ruin your shock
  2. .75mm and 0.060 are different measurments. Better get him to decide which one it is. The stator and flywheels are different from banshee to rz.
  3. there is no way in hell you will get rz cylinders to 75mm!!! The powervalve setup just wont allow it let alone the cylinders themselves
  4. you dont need one . Have a look at the hole through the needle and seat. If anything is gona restrict your fuel flow it will be there. Save your money for something else Even with my mods i have never starved the bike for fuel. (26mm carbs is at 460 mains, 34mmpj carbs are at 360 main and 1mm on power jet)
  5. No offense but it sounds like you are your own worst nightmare. You need to slow down and double check things on your bike and you wont cause yourself this grief.
  6. are they 28mm power jet carbs?
  7. with the stock carbs, k+n and pro curcuits only. i had to go from 270main to 300 when removing the lid
  8. you didnt get the float bowls mixed up when you rejetted? if you do the choke wont work. I would suggest that is most likely your problem
  9. banshee with pipes(twins not 2:1 pipes) and bottom end = waste of time. You never gona have enough to make it worth it
  10. reed spacers or custom manifolds will get you out of trouble
  11. i put 34mm carbs on from the stock 26. I would not go back to 26mm carbs!!! If there tuned properly and you have good throttle control you will not loose and mid or bottom.
  12. New quarter time for me!!! raced last night. 14.1 first run 13.8 second 13.7 3rd and 4th run 13.6 5th run
  13. if they are mikuni i wouls suggest starting out with a couple of sizes up on the main from what you had in the 26mm carbs. The other question is are they power jet carbs?
  14. Go and get your bike dynoed if you dont believe me. I would no believe any of those charts. And the other thing is what gear were the runs done in??? All dyno runs on the banshee should be done in 5th gear as this is all but 1:1 ratio through the box. This will give your most accurate reading.
  15. with open airfilters slip some 400 mains in. Work from there. Mine idled fine with the 25 in it but i had dynajet needles. i was also running 450 mains.
  16. if you have cooling issues you should have saved your money for an aftermarket radiator. Those coolers aren't worth the alloy there made from. My opinoin.
  17. the banshee carb is a VM26 and yes you can get chrome slides for them(here in aus anyway). I have a set of chrome slide for a set of vm34 carbs
  18. how clean are you filters???? clean them first.
  19. dont flip. I have tried it both ways
  20. The other thing you can do is get a set of chrome(steel) slides. Mikuni does make them for all the round slide carbs. They will not stick then
  21. the only thing is you need the raptor axle nut as they are a different thread pitch.
  22. i sliped on the stator cover off my rd350 engine when i put the 17 on, cause i didnt want to hach up the original stator cover
  23. the chart on the fmf site is a relistic banshee dyno chart of a complete standard bike except for pipes change and main jets to suit
  24. it does not state what mods are on these bikes that where dynoed on the toomey site. I know for fact there not stock. Heres what it took to get 50peak rear wheel hp out of a set of pro cuircuits unifilter clamp on filters. stock carbs jetted correctly(we used gas analyser on the dyno to get the right ratios) ported reed cages with carbontech reeds ported intakes and transfer ports matched cylinder to case hot rods crank(for durability) wiseco 40thou over pistons. Shaved head(150 psi cold) Pro curcuits and silencers.
  25. using aluminium polish on the inside of the carb(where the slide runs up and down) solved it for me and also gave the throttle a super smooth action.
