  1. Sweet bike.. Your boy in the background has the same attitude about pics as I do
  2. I noticed a power gain when I took the toomey off and went to K&N pod filters.
  3. what did you gap your pick up at? if too much that will cause erratic and weak spark.
  4. Nope that is not normal. Crack the bleeder and close it with out touching the brake lever. then try to spin the tire. if it spins it is a line problem. If it doesn't than it is a caliper problem. If your front brakes worked before than I would assume it is a line problem.
  5. I would check and make sure your jets are clean. If the pilot jet is clogged it will cause it not to idle. Good luck.
  6. Thanks for the input... The 34's are alot cheaper than the 33's. Not trying to be cheap I just found a good deal on 34's.
  7. I ride woods and dunes. I also like to race. So not a very aggressive port job. more like a woods/MX port job.
  8. Would a set of 34mm carbs be too big for my application? I am going to get port work done on top of what is already done.
  9. look like hacks. who uses scissors to cut wires?
  10. this might help out in the confusion.
  11. Soak the clutches in trans fluid (bell-ray, Maxima etc...) I use a gallon size zip-loc bag. I would use 3 hd springs and 3 std springs. clutch change is pretty simple. if you have the o-rings in the clutches just throw them away.
  12. Huron National Forest. Just north of Rose City in Mio. I go to Bull Gap and ride.
  13. that's in the carbs. do you have an open element air filter? mine sucked some water and froze open.
  14. I love my 4mm. I just need to get the porting done. Or maybe a cub
  15. yep. thumb uses a totally different cable than the twist. You might be on to something there.
  16. how far can you move the throttle before it starts to open? did you have to compress the springs to get the caps on? are the seals still on the carb caps. Please excuse me. I'm not trying to ask a bunch of pointless q's. Just trying to get an understanding of what might be wrong.
  17. When that happened to me I went on ebay and bought a new wiring harness. I got a harness from a newer bike so I could run the new style box. *knock on wood* no problems in 5 years.
  18. the choke screw is on the bottom of the bowl. when you look into the carbs how high are the slides it sounds like the slides are 180* in the bores...
  19. does it seem like it's running out of fuel? Or it just stops?
  20. does it try to rev up when started on fluid? did you check if you sucked some debris into the jets? Pop the pilots out and run a small piece of wire through them. did you adjust the choke screw on the bowl?
  21. Air filter Remove snorkel:1-2 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews Remove airbox lid:1-2 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews Add foam air filter:0-2 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews Add K&N air filter:4-6 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews, add one size on pilots if necessary Add 2 into 1 Foam air filter OR dual carb-mounted foam filters (removing entire airbox, NOT in addition to removing snorkel and airbox lid above):2-4 sizes larger on mains, adjust airscrews, add one size on pilots if necessary Add Dual K&N carb-mounted air filters (no airbox, NOT in addition to removing snorkel and airbox lid above):4-7 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews, add one size on pilots if necessary Add Outerwear:no change Add TORS elimination kit:no change
  22. how much for the thumb throttle?
  23. I would also mark the center of the seat pan and the cover so you don't end up with a crooked seat cover. Just an idea.
  24. looking for a thumb throttle and cables. 48371
  25. I wouldnt worry about it at all. I didnt torque any of my case bolts and have had no problems. I have also been working on all types of engines for 15 years.
