  1. Do you have a -1 or -2 swinger by any chance?
  2. Plus the fact that they are made for canadians so they only have 26 hp
  3. check the trans oil before you start it then after its warmed up, make sure its not a black milky color, if it appears to be black drain it, It should always be gold, and see if you catch any metal flakes or a milky substance Start it up let it warm up by bliping the throttle every few secs then ride it and make sure it doesnt pull to one side and it goes through all of the gears shifting smoothly and without major bogs in the powerband then check the plugs and that will tell you if its lean, you want a nice tan color pull on all 4 of the wheels, side to side, up and down, in and out to check for play so your sure you dont need all new bushings compress the front and rear shocks with your arms a few times to make sure they arent shot Look at the frame throughly for stress marks or cracks, Lift it up and set it on the grabbar and look at every point, also make sure the subframe is straight eye up the rear plastics and make sure they line up straight with the subframe If your going to do a compresion test it should read 110-115 in each cyl at the lowest Dont be afraid to get a little dirty for a half hour by checking it out, dont let the dealer deture you its your purchase. I think thats about it bud, Good luck

  7. I have one I bought from Jeff I dont need anymore. Went with the Trinity 2 into 1 setup. I sent you a pm. P.S. I hope you find the son of a bitch low down thief that stole your Banshee so you can dispose of him. What insurance did you go with?
  8. http://www.lsracing.com/drag-racing.htm Billet Aluminum Swing Arm $925.00 (Directly from Lonestar) The new all billet aluminum swing arm featrues and completely removable lightened bearing housing with the eccentric chain adjustment available for the stock or aluminum axle. The pinch bolts have been moved to the under side of the swing arm for a cleaner look. Each arm is designed to use stock chain sliders and weighs less than the 3/4 drag swing arms. New Pictures & more styles coming soon. Looks sick!
  9. Yep, this is the bussy season. The guy Ive known since we were 11, I sell some parts for, and I have do all of my work couldent even take my Banshee in his shop for 2 weeks it was so flooded with quads and bikes, hes actualy sending people away unless they are willing to wait a month just to get it in to wait behind 20 some other bikes to get done its crazy. It does suck and you cant bitch about it. If you want good work done you have to wait.
  10. http://tireballs.com/ its said best here The Tire Ball
  11. Either send them back to Elka or send them here http://www.gtthunder.com/ if you send them to GT Thunder you have to be very specific on what you want or they wont even take them Note: For your suspension to work correctly you must have. 1.The correct amount of up travel of your wheels. 2. The correct amount of down travel of your wheels. 3. The correct progression ratio in your rear suspension. Without these - your suspension is not nearly what it could be - Please do not ask us to setup your suspension, if you are not willing to address these issues.
  12. Or get beadlocks and Tire Balls (Wall Mart balls in my case) and never worry about getting a flat out in the midst of nowhere ever again
  13. Rite, if you did a leakdown, were jetted properly, and werent sucking air, you probably werent running a high enough octane with the added compresion of the milled head/timing advance would be my guess. If I were you Ide get a fresh bore/hone some pro lites, buy a new RS flywheel/pickup, make sure your stator is good, buy a used stock crank get it welded and a used stock head (You can probably find all of the used stuff on here just post in the wanted section) and get it milled. If you want more later then you can go out and spend with the hotrods 4mil longrod crank a port job to match and a coolhead with domes cut for your application.
  14. I agree with DAJO. Simple and it will take away that annoying rattel. The rebuild kit from Modquad is only like 7-10 dollars plus shipping so you might want to look into their fender/stator/clutch/water pump allen head bolt kits for a cleaner look and no more stripped screw heads a Case saver a billit impeller and their gas caps are the sweetest looking out there IMO.
  15. Im having the exact same problem and I cant make sence of it so I dumped it on my mechanic. I really dont like the fact that I had to go outside of myself to get my banshee running but he has all of the voltage tools and expirence plus it wont kill my wallet cause we work together a few months out of the year but hes so backed up its gonna be a few weeks. Im intrested to hear the diagnosis here. Ill throw mine up as soon as I find out. Good luck!
  16. Youde be suprised what a banshee can do when it is modded for handeling and obviously the power is there you just have to know how to handle it you can hang with a 400ex in the tight stuff on mine you miight have to work the clutch a little and cornering on mine is ultra smooth when you get around to open stuff and hillclimbs the 400ex gets smoked. I have no problem hanging with them or 450s. As far as sand and hillclimbs go the Banshee is the King you must be a fool to think that its not.
  17. Tell that to me when you come pulling up to my banshee that is setup for woods/GNCC Elka Elites all around dual rear linkage +2+1 LSR A Arms -2 swingarm Ill eat up a 400EX in the woods if its moded out real good/ big bore kit suspension handleing equipt steering stabilizer then you might stand a chance if your a racing class rider If not Ill ride circles around a 400ex
  18. what numbers are on the side of the carb? 71R is a 38 PWK Let me know I might be intrested.
  19. I just bought a -2 Laegers to match my new suspension and Im wondering what is the strongest roundhouse carrier I can buy. It measures like 86 and all I see in the dealer books are stock and 40 Any suguestions?
  20. It might be as soon as this weekend if my buddie brings his camera. Then I will do a few when I get all setup to show the diffrence. I just got my mechanic/parts guy to call Elka and get my rear setup for the -2. He already setup my skill level as advanced I dont need the valving too stiff with the advanced level and a -1 setup with a -2 swingarm so Im gonna try it. If it doesnt work out I wonder if Elka will take it back before 30 days and set it for a -1 Thanks for the tips guys. This is gonna be a blast!
  21. What jetting are you guys running in your 2 in 1 setups. I havent got to install it yet but when I do Im running it with the airbox adapter and lid on the airbox with 12 1" holes with filters in the holes and a Foam filter. Im running around 1600-1800 above sea level. What should I start out with. A little rich is better than lean and if I can get started a little rich I will do plug chops untill I hit dead on.
  22. I got my 2:1 intake and carb today it came super quick intact and packaged nicely. I recomend him to anyone on here. Thank you Aaron
  23. Yeah I never rode anything with a -2 swingarm and the guy I bought this from actualy said it can be set -3 or -2. I hear you on the riding part and believe me I ride the shit out of it. I race too Im very agressive with the banshee and Im loseing weight so I will probably need them revalved in a year anyhow. I got them setup very specificaly. I keep hearing you guys talking about how much you love your -2s but Im considering my weight and I do slide around the seat for turns jumps hillclimbs but I dont really ride the ass end to much. Like I said Im going to give it a shot. May as well have Elka do it for the -2. Im wondering since Elka lets you ride for 30 days and send them back for a revalve if you dont like how they originaly valved them if I can send it back and get them to revalve for swingarm length depending on what length suits me best. I will not only get pics but I will have footage of me riding on my land with my buddies video camera. Im looking forward to posting some agressive trail/hillclimb/racing 450s/built 400exs footage
  24. I just got the swingarm yesterday and Elka is still building my Elites. This looks super short and I weigh 300lbs I dont want it standing up on me comming out of corners. Im going to try it out before I get a -1. Also I cant get the long bolt out of my stock upper A-Arm I have a driftwood center punch and it still isent comming loose. Any suguestions?
  25. I think they are a great mod for woods riders. I just bought one and have yet to install it but I think it will pull more at lower rpms and give an overall gain from stock carbs. You already have the dyno port witch should be giving great lowend along with the 20cc domes a 4 degree timing advance and the 2:1 carb you should be set to pull very hard. Im looking at the same combo but PT Mids 18cc domes and mabey +7 on the timing with VP 110 when I get my 4mil done. I just bought LSR Racing A-Arms Elka Elites with the dual rear linkage and a -2 lagers swingarm so it will be a while before I get any motor work done.
