Mods that suit me... anyone got any advice?
Washburn replied to Joshtruction's topic in General Banshee Discussion
First Im sorry to hear about your Mother best wishes and I understand kids can be a handfull and a wallet full. Your best bet is to save up a grand or soo and go hunting for beater bikes. Broken down, need rebuilt, and if you know how to rebuild them then your set on a stack. If you cant find one outside of the papers be prepared to spend 2500 but most Banshees come with pipes jetted mabey a few other things. Depending on the rider you can smoke some 450s and be prepared to get smoked with just pipes. A Banshee with pipes milled head advanced timimg and bigger carbs/carb is hard to beat in a drag for an all around bike. Good luck with whatever you do but like I said save up a grand it goes a long way when someone needs cash on the spot in any case. -
Ide give it to trinity if they put it against GRR but big companys like that usualy have too much to lose by getting beat by a lesser know company. Ide put my builder up against anyother builder given the same amount of money and mods. Im sure most of you think that way and thats a good thing. Eric Gorr vs Dave Moore "drool"

I have this LT250R and I hate to see it go but I cant get into it. Im going to post the whole thing what you see is what you get. Shocks are good A-Arms are dented rear end is good as well as the bottom end of the motor. Rear end Swingarm Axle rotor shock no master Rear plastic cracked NEED ALOT OF WORK! BUSHINGS BEARINGS ALL AROUND, Ide atleast get the shocks serviced for 50 bucks nothing big just a new charge even though they are still good. If someone around me in Harrisville or Pittsburgh wants to look at it be my guest. first 350 takes everything.

Bolt on vs bolt on any shee will eat a 450 any 450 (Ive got my eye on that new rotax powered DS450 though). If they are stock they are going to be boring vs riding a piped banshee no doubt. You need to wake them up with mods for power head mods cam pipe and that boring powerband wakes up into wow Im impressed with this 4 strokes powerband but it will never be a Banshee. The handleing department is totaly diffrent too. They can eat Banshees alive in the woods without breaking a sweat. To race a Banshee you have to be totaly comited or you have to have $$$$$

 Agreed Ive meet so many people on this site willing to give me a shot and Ive got plenty of invites. Great bunch of guys (You all know who you are) Great board!

I was just thinking about this last night. They had a snowmobile on pavement pinks, The 4 stroke 1100cc Yami on NOS won against the 2 stroke 800cc with drag pipes. I think quads would of been more suited for that episode. Banshee and whatever 4 stroke they can come up with.

I put it all back together running but they are pretty stripped out. I dont think my impact will work. I might try the dremel idea though thats a good one. I hate stripped bolts. I got so good at getting in straight and flush but it never fails on cirten things. Brass screws comeon Yamaha!!!!!!!!

When is it? I live rite in Lawrenceville pretty close to monroville its not far. Question is is the race the same time as the Clutch concert. That would be hard figureing there are so many more races Ill be going to next year. I also lost 150 in suspension money do to a busted bead in the rear tire. Just strapped up with brand new Razr 2s. I love them! Ballance wins todays race. Borich had brake troubles around mid-race and lost alot of time and positions, still finished 6th place. 1-Bill Ballance 2-Aam McGill 3-Chris Bithell 4-Chris Jenks 5-Matt Smiley 6-Chris Borich What do the overall points look like?

I was rite on my way of putting my new PD Timing plate in when all I could find was a cheap 2:1 screwdriver to get the 3 screws out that hold the stator to the plate and I stripped them round. Any Ideas on how to get these out? I was thinking a left hand bit mabey thatll work.

Probably NO

How to install an Adjustable timing plate
Washburn replied to Finkshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Watch them screws connecting the stator to the plate. 3 soft screws I stripped mine with an all pourpose screw driver. I was in there tight and straight. Stripped those basterds now I have a dilema. -
Ill be racing next year AWRCS is not far away for me. I might do a season on the Banshee just to do it then switch to a 450. Cody Buchanan Buchanan Racing is fairing alrite on his 416ex this year. Brandon Sommers is 11 points ahead of him. Buchanan will be switching to a 450 probably next year and will fair much better. Heres what the Overall points look like so far http://www.awrcs.com/dotnetnuke/Standings/...02/Default.aspx QXC - PRO Series Place Points Rider City, State Rider Number R1 R2 R3 R4 R5 R6 R7 R8 R9 R10 1 58 Brandon Sommers 19 20 19 2 47 Cody Buchanan 13 17 17 3 40 Chris Jenks 20 0 20 4 37 Johnny Gallagher 18 19 0 5 35 Jeff Pickens 17 0 18 6 32 Jeremy Rice 14 18 0 7 31 Ron Rusch 15 16 0 8 16 Kevin Yoho 16 0 0 9 0 Ben Davenport 0 0 0 10 0 Josh Davis 0 0 0

Wish they had these "tires" in 21"/20"
Washburn replied to BenBB's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Wow, that looks like a killer tire. No more flats but youre rite I bet they are more than tire balls and they all wear. At least you can reuse tire balls or just do what Im doing and get wal mart balls. We will be selling them (Both) once I get the site up and ready for orders! -
Happy Birthday
