  1. Damn man thanks for that. I didn't even think about the purging crap, and that is enough to make me not want to do it. I'll just check around to see if I can find some cheaper race fuel from some of the guys that drag race possibly. I'm guessing that mixing pump gas and race fuel is ok to do though, seeing as a ton of people do it.
  2. Not to open up a big can of worms here but I'm planning on upping my compression in the near future. I can't get race gas around here for any cheaper than about $10/gal. so I'm trying to figure out other fuels to run. I was reading through the AVgas thread and haven't really been convinced whether or not it's good to use or not. I've heard of people mixing alky (methanol, which I can get free around here) with pump gas to up the octane. I was curious what some people's opinion (or hopefully someone that's actually knowledgeable in the subject, which Firehead seems to be based on the other thread) is on doing this.
  3. I've got 13,42 gearing right now and with some V-paddles in fairly wet sand it's perfect launching in 2nd. Now when I get out in some soft sand with those paddles all I do is spin, so I'm gonna have to either try different gearing or different paddles, not sure which yet. On dirt with the same gearing I noticed that launching in 2nd I either spun too much or couldn't keep the front end down so I had to launch in 1st and play with the clutch alot. These are all with stock ported/stroke/bore motor with just bolt-on's.
  4. Not a whole lot of other advice but I'd recommend some nerf bars and leave the airbox on and get a pro-flow adapter with a K&N b/c of the possible mud and water in the race.
  5. Nope but we can
  6. If you don't want flashy but want something that's definately different go with white. Like dajo said in another thread, white is the new black, it'd look sick
  7. Lookin for some 20x11x8 8 paddle haulers. I've already got rims, just need tires, let me know what ya got.
  8. What's goin on, you'll definately be hearin from me this summer for some motor work and gettin the flywheel lightened.
  9. Thanks dude, same for you too.
  10. :yelrotflmao: Good thread
  11. March 28th through April 1st
  12. You need this  http://www.magicracing.com/Outerwear-Airbo..._p_256-523.html
  13. Jared(bigred) did a thread on this awhile back where he did one of his. I guess the only thing you can't do (or maybe you can, not exactly sure) is "true" the crankshaft, which I'm not sure exactly what that entails so....might be possible.
  14. No most of the stuff I've got is stock stuff which looks like you're tryin to get rid of that so...
  15. I've got some handlebars that I don't need. I don't know exactly what brand they are tho, they came with the bike when I got it. They're more of a low-pro so if that sounds like something you might like let me know.
  16. I've got one but it's located in Oklahoma so that doesn't really help.
  17. Guess they weren't the company everyone was havin problems with then. I'll throw one on the next RM order...thanks!
  18. I think boreing it with the port job would be fine yes, but as for putting a 4mil in it I don't think it would work if the port job is not for the 4mil.
  19. I need a new clutch cable and saw RM has a Motion Pro one, but I remember hearing something about someone having problems with a certain cable...but couldn't remember who it was. Is the Motion Pro stuff any good?
  20. Still got the '98 we talked about if you ever get interested for somethin a little nicer.
  21. Basket will go out tmrw, thanks!
  22. If you were stayin with stock pipes and just putting the K&N on with the lid off I'd think maybe a little lower then 250, more in the 230-240 range...but I've never tuned w/o pipes so...just make sure to do a plug chop when you jet it.
  23. I've got one man but I'm up in school about 2 1/2 hours away from my quad/parts. The one I've got is in bad shape cosmetically but the balljoint is still tight and the boot is in good condition. LMK if you really need it and I can have my friend's dad try to ship it out for me.
  24. Easy fix for this is to put a new o-ring (sometimes bigger one) in there. Once you take the choke assembly apart you'll know what I'm talkin about. I did this and it works great now.
  25. Good so what I said made sense to someone, cuz it didn't really to me
