I can get everything that can be PC'd on a banshee done for around $175, and that's for a dual coat process...not bad IMO.

I have a hard time believing it'll run with that much fuel going through it... And your problem of it cutting out until you get into the higher RPM's sounds like a problem caused by the slides being in backwards, or the choke tube not being in place.

I was tryin to think of that stuff...there's some blue magic at oreilly's but I didn't think it was the right stuff. Alot of people love the Blue Away cuz it takes off alot of the blueing.

I've been twice and have a decent idea of where everything is. Me and a buddy rode all the way around the fenceline last time so that helped out some, and last time we had a break-down and I had to find my way back out to where my friend was and did it w/o much problems. Got 5 days and I'll be there :biggrin:

Might have some v-paddles if my buddy sells me his other paddles. They worked great for me dunin at LS but weren't exactly the best for dragging, just an option for ya. Oh, and they're Sand Skate II's 20x10x8 on Douglas .160 rims.

They just look weird/different then any others I've seen when done properly.

And I'll be hitting the dunes up at Little Sahara. I think I have the worst case of spring fever ever bein at school right now and knowin i'm goin to the dunes next week. I CAN'T WAIT :biggrin: Just wanted to brag a little :cool:

Don't really know if you can "check" it w/o tearing into it, other than checkin tranny fluid level to see if it's goin down.

Eh pull starting it might not be a bad idea, I've had to do that a few times when I couldnt get mine to kick. Does everything sound ok when you kick it over?

Might have someone interested...buddies dad has been lookin for a good deal and this is a helluva deal...I'll let ya know, I'm located in OK too so that's convenient. Do you know the top-end needs rebuilt or just assume it?

If it is the right side smoking chances are you have a bad crank seal and it is letting tranny oil into the cylinder and burning that off. I definately wouldn't run it until you check this out.

We build one up that works perfect, don't have any pics of it sorry.

Send them somewhere to get them revalved, theyh may just be setup for someone that weights alot more than you.

Ya I plan on getting the crank trued/welded with new bearings this summer when everything is torn apart for my idea of a complete rebuild :biggrin: I plan on getting it ported but sure as hell don't wanna do it over the summer and not have a bike to ride, so it'll probably just be a rebuild at the beginning of the summer when I get some $ flow and then when it starts to get cold send it up to Jeff.

Yeah, I figured this thread would end up with me hearing that and I agree...eh about 50%ish lol. Guess I'll leave it how it is and see how it does.

It's a good Craftsman gauge so I know it's not that. I know the top-end is nearing time for a rebuild, but like said I don't have the money/time for it right now, or enough $ to pick up a coolhead so I'm looking for a cheaper route and am just wondering if this is mechanically sound. Looks like ya'll have some good stuff there blowit, but for that much $ I could pay another 30 bux and get a coolhead...I'm looking for cheaper but still reliable right now.
