  1. with a sotck bore and stroke id have to say 30 would be as high as i go.... 28 your not going to see anything besides better throttle response...
  2. i wouldnt go that big on carbs... his motor is stock stroke and bore ... only change was the porting...

  4. you cant go wrong with weisco pro lites... they have been proven time and time again! as far as reeds id get my hands on some VForce 3, and dont bother with the spacer... its there to clear the clutch arm thats all... id look into some nice billet intakes like boss , white knuckle racing, or modquad. get one that is angledup to clear the clutch arm already... i responded to your other post already... i wouldnt go shearers for your type of riding... at the most id go is cpi but until you clarify some of the question i put on the other post id say get some T5's.
  5. give us some more info on the bike and motor... mods and motor work you already got... when you say open trials how open are we talkin? you mihgt be able to run cpi but youll lose alot of your bottom end either way ... id look at some T5's unless your doing more duning and drag then id say cpi
  6. not sure what would give them a reason... but i know my cousin got a fat ticket a few years back becasue he ran out of gas and put some of my grandpas farm deisel in his truck and for what ever the reason was the cop pulled him over and tested his fuel and it was positive for the dye and gave him a nice hefty ticket...
  7. they dont have to pul your filter... in texas the highway patrol have a kit... they siphon a small amount into a container and they have this little tester thing... they can nail you right there on the side of the road
  8. the spacer plate gives the motor an extra surface to leak from... you had only one base gasket ... but now you have to run tow.. one on top of the plate and one under it... now you have an extra surface to leak from... not saying it will do it but im not taking chances becasue i want to half ass it...
  9. yea the rev box crap... they use them on 4 strokes... like da said dont bother with it... im not even sure if it would make any differance on a 4 stroke casue the smae limitations apply for them.

  11. nah hes got to take this math class thats remedial algebra... its like 8th grade lvl math... then he can take the intro to algebra... then he takes his college algebra... so he has 3 maths but its all to get into one class that he needs to finish his degree...
  12. oh i forgot this earlyer... either way you go your going to have to port you jugs for the 4mil... so you might as well get a dune port or what ever the porting type you want for your riding style... you can always do a spacer plate but if your that cheap then theres no point of doing a 4mil to half ass it... and your only going to give your motor another surface to leak from and lean your motor out to blow it...
  13. it shoud be the same as a banshee... from the key there is 4 wires? follow those down and there should be a plug... on the other side of the plug there is 2 wires? those two wire you cut and splice together and your good.. get some liquid tape at walmart in the auto section and seal the wires up...
  14. mexico baby! you dont have to pay all the disposal fees and as with everything else its just plain out chaper down there... theres a place in TJ that im taking my shit too that a buddy of mine got his bumper on his old ass plymouth done at... tripple plated show chrome... and they charged him 150 bucks... in the states they want 125 per pipe for your quad..
  15. rather the finding a ton of differant style pipes.. how about saying what kind of riding your using them for and cut out all the bullshit pipes that dont meet that riding style... then pick from those... edit: also this belongs in the wanted forum not for sale
  16. power and topend you wouldnt notice much... if any... the biggest improvment would be your throttle response.. the stock carbs are garbage... PWK have very nice throttle respones and that with vf3 reeds and your going to be good as far as throttle respones goes
  17. well your alrady off on the wrong foot to asy your not going to try somethig that aids you along the way... about 90% of people that try to go cold turkey endup back at it before ever stopping... and of those 10% thqat do stop overhalf are back at it less then one month off it.. smoking or dipping... your best bet is pain... have a buddy knock the shit out of you when he sees you doing it... i had one of my junior marine tell me he wanted to stop smoking but he couldnt... so i told him i could help and i would garranty my results.. told him if i saw him smoking or if someone else saw him smoking i hit him in the mouth, and if he lied about it and i found out i hit him 2 times... well the mouth hitting didnt last long casue he kept getting caught and his mouth could only take some many licks until it was worn out so we moved to the stomach... none the less in a few weeks he stopped smoking and when he smelled smoke it made him nauseous
  18. well with the things you listed your headed in the right direction for sure...the only way to be 100% on if you need to use race gas is to do a compression test once its back together... but you named all the bolt ons that id say to start off with.. maybe some 28mm PWK carbs being the stocker carbs are crap...
  19. which mod? you mean like a dyna cdi? they cost more then 100 bucks but yea i swear by my dyna! i couldnt be more happy with it... i guess i could if i wanted to spend the time and money going to a dyno and programming it but im not worrid about all that right now...

  21. i good rule of thumb is for every tooth you change on the front its in between 2.5 and 3 theeth in the opposite direction on the rear... the math is closer to 3 teeth
  22. it wouldnt hurt that for sure.. if your going topend then it woudld be wise... if you dont want to port it then you can look at some 28 pwk and get the benifit of better throttle response from a better designed carb....
  23. adding a 4mil crank you can get either... its more of gearing then the crank... over all a 4mil will give you about 7% more overall power... if you want it to be topend then gear it and get top end pipes... throw some bigger carbs on, when you say topend.. are you talking about drag style or what?
  24. on your bottle of oil it should give you the messurements on the back...
  25. well 36:1 is 18 oz.... i want to say its 20oz edit: err actually you know what that might be 2.5 gallons not 5... i left my messure thing in my trailer so i cant go grab it to tell you for sure...
