Question for you people with diesel in freezing temps
Bansh-eman replied to Bansh-eman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
aside from the traqnny dodge is posed to have the most reliable deisel right now.. motor wise the connecting rods and everything can take more of a beatting from what i have heard.. but i know its like the weakest tranny... too bad they didnt get the allison contract... but its ok chevy buyers are paying for the rediculose amount they bid to win the contract thats for sure.. -
why would it be a no no? if its open land and its not illegal to do it then i dont see why you couldnt post spots?
-
well being its lee's site id say he would be the one to pick? maybe have volunteers and he can pick from those... i wouldnt say base it off of usage alone casue some ppl arent able to get on as much as others but can contribute.id say its a good idea as long as ppl dont go overboard like on yfzcentral... they delete posts and lock post out casue they dont want to hear the post becasue its cameup before and all kinda of stupid shit. just my .02

Question for you people with diesel in freezing temps
Bansh-eman replied to Bansh-eman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
umm yep got that one.. my question is he said his pops put gs in the tank... wouldnt that cause the motor to detonate becasue the gas will ignite much sooner then the deisel being th pressure in a deisel is muchhigher then a normal car motor... -
yea it can its just a really tight fit getting the boots on the carbs and the box...
-
well i cant answer you 100% on the differant size cubs so im not going to open my mouth on that but as far as the stroker crank and blaster pistons... a 4mil with minimal mods to get it running will produce ruffly 7% more power..the blaster pistons shouldnt cost much more, they are the same thing as 795 series but bigger bore diameter.. if you dont have to run that big of a piston then dont bother opening up your jugs to acheiv the size ... run 795 all the way until your sleev is worn out... i want to say the first size blaster piston is a 66mm and the 795 goes to 66.5, but im not for sure on that... so to bore it out to run 66 blasters is kinda pointless for the small mount of power your going to gain over say 64.5mm and the moeny youll spend on a big bore kit to resleeve it you might as well get a cub... just my .48 cents

im sorry unbleded? and added unleaded gasoiline to a deisel? im not by any means a deisel tech but from everything iv heard that not the smartest thing you could do... they have much more compression and would cause the fuel to detonate am i correct guys? -

if you really want to get your shit together... join the marines!!! im telling you i look at my buddies back home and ya i love them to death i mean they are my boys, but we are in no way the same ppl any more! i was forced to growup and see life and many other things in a totally differant perspective... how many 22 year olds you know that own a 360 thousand dollar house? not too many im sure... the miliatry isnt going to "give" shit, your going to do your time and your going to bust your ass but trust me the friends and the experiances you get out of it will change your life! even if i walk out of my 8 years in the marines and it dosent help me not even 1% to find a job... the time i spent was WELL worth it! my judgment and leadership excelles WELL over many people that are incharge of large companies i can without a dought say that! wether your looking for a place to call home or just a place to get your shit together, look into the military... you wont be sorry... just keep in mind your only going to get out what you put in.. you come in and do the bare minimum your going to get the bare minimum in return.. you comein and take charge, be on time , look good in uniform , and make shit happen without being told to do it.... your going to go places!

well i got a 2006 Dodge 2500 Cummins Turbo Deisel... and thats what we where talking about being in Omaha... i guess cranking wouldnt be the problem... i should probly worry more about the coolant freezing and cracking the block as it melts? i dont know im not from anywhere that gets that cold -

so even at that low of temps the glow plugs will still get the cylinders hot enough to start fine? -
80w tranny isnt the same as 80w motor oil... pickup a thing of it and shake it... youll notice its pretty thin... they also make a 75w....

21X12X8 8 paddle Skat Trak Haulers on T9's
Bansh-eman replied to SoCalinIt's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
im in the same boat as you... im going to have to get bigger tires for my new motor too... i was going to sell my haulers but i think i might just put them on my wifes bike... only problem is it will be way ovr paddled... she isnt racing so im not too worried bout it... i might see if someone has a set of 8 paddles haulers locally that might want to trade but i guess we will see... -
ok so im from texas and it dosent get that cool and right now i live in san diego... so for your truck to start you got to warm the glow plugs... which heat the cylinders so the fuel will have enough pressure and heat to ignite... when your in freezing temps how well does a deisel run or start being that it takes much more to heat it up prior to starting? if you dont drive a deisel or have experiance plz dont add your 2 cents... im trying to answer a question for a freind and im not looking for opinions, trying to find facts, thanks
