  2. i run heat cycles... like said above run your gas a little rich with oil ... run it bout 20 min or until max operating temp... kill it and cool ALL the way down.. do 3 of these making a total of an hour... your first ride out go through all the gears up and down not gong to ruff on the motor but dont baby it... let her cool down... after that ride it like you stole it...

  4. cleaing your carbs is vrey ez... unscrew them and pull the caps off... pull the carbs out and drain the gas from the bowls... flip it over and remove the screws to pull the bowls off... take out all the jets and clean them out and also clean the needle seat for your float assembly.. to check your jetting you should do a plug chop do a search in the jetting forums you will find a ton of info to jet your bike you just got to look around some..

  9. depends on what you ride in.... orings can be a pain in the ass... my next im going with some ek xring chain... just ezer to clean... you can soak an oring in any solvent casue youll ruin the seals... cant... not can
  10. not ruling anything out... but good info to know PJ carbs dont idle as ez as pwk's... i have talked with a few people that had PJ's and we all had the same problems getting the idle good on them... dave th 55 pilot thing... idk his alt and what not but i ran a 55 in my carbs for a little bit... so he should be close...48-55 more then likely
  11. always use steel... aluminum sprokets bend like crazy... i have had tons of problems with alum sprokets....

  13. i have a lonestar axecaliber... things a beast... very ez to put on and the warranty is top notch! costs a litle more then sme others but you get what you pay for...
  14. ok 1. is correct, your prot timings will not match,how ever you can have your jugs ported to accomedate the stroker 2. not true... a cub is a drag setup, if your racing mx or tight trails then its a polar opposite of what your looking for so it wouldnt be better... 3. true there is a setupup for each stroke... 4. not true a 4mil 7 mil 10mil are all as reliable motor as long as you build them that way and dont cut corners.. spend the money to put quality products to insure your build is reliable. 5. true 4mil does not require case mods... 7mil and more requires the cases to be trenched 6. ummm not true but is smarter... you can always port your jugs to have the timings changed but a cub setup for a 4mil 7 mil what ever the case is ,, can be used right out of the box... most have the castings cleaned up but they are ready to go when u get them...

  21. open the carbs and clean them out... did you let gas sit in the bowls? if so your going to have to get all the shit out of the jets and flaot valve... kick over the motor a few times with the key of or he kill switch off... get the clutch and everything nice and wet... then kick it over...
