no problem... let me know when your ready...

the cdi doesnt make any stronger spark... a coil will, the cdi if programable can have your timing advancement or retarded controled over your rpm curve ... where as a timing plate is static...meaning +4 degrees at 1000 rpm and +4 degrees at 9000rpm where the programable cdi comes into play... you can advance your timing like +15 at low rpms to get that bottom end your bike lacks then as your rpm range climbs the amount of advancement decreases to give you back some of the top end timing that you cant get from the static plate...

hey anyone know what time the race kicks off this sunday in fontana? a few buddies and myself got free tickets to go to the races but i cant find out what time it starts?

im not sure of the exact amount it takes to power the ignition system... but i know that a 200w stator powers a set of 55w trailtech lights and my ignition with dyna cdi and a nology coil fine...
-
no no you need a stator... thats what generates your electricity toi power your bike...
-
im not sure thats 100% accuate dave.... the regulator plugs into that blue wire that goes into your cdi if i remember correctly? then from there all your power goes to coil and lights? im no electrican by any account... and im trying to go off of what i remember reading and seeing in diamgrams while redoing my wire harness... could be wrong?

Pro design cool head question
Bansh-eman replied to 96_banshee_96's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
trued means that the weight of the crank is equal all the way around same concept as when you balance your tires... there for eliminating viberation and taking stress of moving parts that can be damaged by it not being true... welded is nothing more then a small tack on the web of the crank... the big weight looking thing... there is a pin that can only come out on the outside of the webing... to insure that it dosent seperate you drop a small weld on there to secure it in place.. theres a little more to the trueing then i said but you get the jist of it... -
no you have a little silver squar box screwed right next to your cdi... thats your electrical regulator... that will keep your lights and other components from burning out ... thats of course assuming that its working right to be honest id say get a 200w ricky stator.. they are more then enough power...

do you run antifreeze all year around? if so how often has it been changed and when is the last time the systems was flushed? anti freeze makes alot of sludge that will clog the system over periods of time while sitting... if you have too much shit building up that could casue an issue as well
-

if you dont mind the hangers looking like crap... id rather spend some extra money and have someone else do it right and make it look good at the same time casue i know my self and many others can say oh yea i can do this myself and it ends up being shity casue we dont have the right tools or experiance or time or what every the case may be....

New bolts, anything better than Alloy Boltz?
Bansh-eman replied to dajogejr's topic in Product Reviews
damn i was hoping there was one in san d... i dont wanna drive to huntington to do this -
i like the cascade one becasue they have the rubber to help absorb some of the viberation taking strees off the welds on the pipes but they are rebuildable unlike stock hangers becasue they have two bolts in them that you can use to refassen (sp?) the hangers...

New bolts, anything better than Alloy Boltz?
Bansh-eman replied to dajogejr's topic in Product Reviews
the ti bolts are pretty much the end all be all bolt... but if you where to buy them from a store single bolts and not how fire is saying... they are $$$ ti doesnt corrode lik e many other bolts will so they are much ezer to extract when you havent taken a part off in a long time... also they have less tendancy of twisting the heads off... the reason they are on planes and missiles isnt for the reason they are stronger but its more of a insurance thing... if something happens with bolts breaking they are covered becasue they can throw out the fact that they used ti grade blah blah blah bolt.... ss are fine... but if i can get a whole bucket of all sizes for 20 bones with nuts washers bolts c clips you name it? im taking that path casue every garage needs a good bucket of backup or replacement bolts... -
