  1. I had a dream last night I was working on my dad's fourwheeler (he doesn't even own one ) and when I pulled the air filter off, the intake was completely filled with dirt and grass and stuff. I'm not exactly sure where that came from.
  2. WTF is an exhaust switch? This looks more like a TORS cap to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=10066
  3. I usually just throw mine in the washing machine.
  4. I've kinda had my filter sitting out in the garage drying while I was watching this topic. I came home yesterday to find foam covering the garage. Looks like my dog has a taste for the stuff. I believe he's tearing more up on the thing than I am. A local shop is supposed to have one in by the weekend... but $40 hurts. Today I came home to find a mangled oil seal ($5) and my jet collection in the yard. I think I recovered all the jets but damn! It's my fault for leaving the stuff where he can get it but that sure didn't save him from an ass wuppin.
  5. It'll go away as soon as another sport quad comes out.
  6. It really all depends on traction. I raced a 450r who left me on the holeshot, but I was pulling him at 300ft. If we were racing further than that I would have had him. All I had at the time were pipes and timing advance. Those 450s are awesome bikes but they don't have the topend a Banshee has. Then again all we're really talking about is HP. When it comes down to handling we all know the 450 is the clear winner.
  7. What are you running now and how do you like the performance? If you're running a 14, you can probably bump up to a 15. It all depends on where you want the power. Going higher you'll lose a little bottom-end power (will lose over full RPM range, but most noticeable at low RPM), but will allow you to hold a gear longer and reach a higher top speed. You can order one from Rocky Mountain for about $10.
  8. I doubt you used too much. According to the instructions on the can you're supposed to rub it in with your fingers. That's just plain gross. The only effective things I've found to clean that crap off are PJ1 filter cleaner (imagine that) and gas. Gas eats up the filter and that cleaner costs too damn much. So you're currently using 10w30?
  9. I've been using PJ1 filter oil. Would it be just as good to use say 10w30 motor oil? The tacky PJ1 gets everything sticky and is a pain in the ass to get off.
  10. What's so bad about Yamalube? I just switched to it from Castor927. It doesn't smell as good but it's a LOT cheaper.
  11. Good call. I've called them a couple times and they seem very willing to help, even though they know I'm not buying anything.
  12. Glad you're alright man. That could have been a lot worse. We wouldn't have known what to do without you.
  13. Sounds like carb sync. I tinkered with synchronizing the slides on the stock carbs endlessly and never could get both cylinders to fire the same. One would always crackle more than the other. Maybe aftermarket carbs are better due to the choke system. I've now switched to the CV system and it feels great to hear both cylinders firing in unison.
  14. YFZ350/YZF350 makes it sound like a downgraded YFZ450. Or at least that's what non-knowers would think. But everyone knows BANSHEE. I love the looks of people (even kids) when I have the Shee in the back of the truck. Everyone takes notice and some ask "Is that a Banshee?".
  15. Those are flat plastics though. How do flat ones look? Ugly? Show scratches worse? You can get front and rear fenders for $112.50 from there, that's pretty hard to beat. It would cost you about $200 from Rocky Mountain.
  16. Yeah, Rocky Mountain has racing fronts for only about $60. Full fronts or rears are kinda pricey though.
  17. WPS? Is that a Works document?
  18. Not that I know of. Besides, if you're willing to spend the extra $ for an aftermarket airbox you might as well just get the Trinity setup.
  19. Yeah, but I don't remember where it is.
  20. Pop machine doesn't do anything. Key is either for a locker or for the final door.
  21. No bump steer? Sounds like a plan then!
  22. Dude! What a perfect explanation!
  23. The computer on level 9 was the only part I had to get help on. The rest of it wasn't that bad. It feels like such an accomplishment to beat it!
  24. Is it easier or harder to turn with the fronts swapped? Is there really an increase in bump-steer?
  25. Can only run the airbox with the Trinity CV manifold setup using the airbox adapter Trinity makes. If you're using the Graydon (or similar) manifold, you're SOL with the stock airbox. With the Trinity setup, you have to cut the front airbox mounts in half. With a Graydon setup, you'd have to do some serious modifications to get an airbox hooked up.
